A new Disney 100 Spaceship Earth show has arrived at Epcot! As part of the Disney100 Celebration taking place in Epcot, guests can see a new light show on the exterior of Spaceship Earth.
This new light show celebrates 100 year’s worth of memories with beautiful visuals, vibrant colors, and a special rendition of โWhen You Wish Upon a Starโ in celebration of the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company.
The show begins with just a few points of bright white lights and an orchestral rendition of โWhen You Wish Upon a Starโ plays in the background. A light then transforms into a shooting star and begins to move around Spaceship Earth. It changes into a purple light and traces the outline of Mickey Mouse’s head.
At one point the entire geosphere lights up in purple lights (purple is one of the main Disney100 colors) with the negative space forming Mickey heads. Next, shades of orange, green, and purple explode in firework-like patterns. At the show’s climax, you once again see the shooting star. The globe is divided into purple, green, yellow, and blue sections before they all combine into an orange tone that covers the sphere and then fades out to end the show.
You can watch the full show below:
The Disney100 Celebration is happening at Epcot now through December 31, 2023. Will you be celebrating at the park?

Tour a New DVC 1 Bedroom Princess and the Frog Villa at Disneyland Hotel
The Villas at Disneyland Hotel have opened with some amazing new rooms! We got a look at a DVC 1 bedroom villa themed to The Princess and the Frog and it’s the perfect option for princesses and princes alike!
Characters from The Princess and the Frog appear throughout the 1-bedroom villa in both subtle and obvious ways. A gorgeous image of Tiana hangs on the wall with another image featuring her, the Louisiana bayou, and her restaurant, Tiana’s Palace, hangs above the dining table.
These villas sleep up to 5 adults. In the living area there is a queen size pull down bed over the gorgeous royal purple couch. Across from that is a twin size pull down bed underneath the TV. The room also has a balcony. We loved the colors of the rug in the living area which features musical instruments and the words “Dreams do come true in New Orleans”.
The bedroom in the villa features a king size bed with gorgeous artwork above the headboard. The villa also comes with two bathrooms which are perfect for larger families! The ensuite bathroom features a separate shower and tub with two sink vanities and a separate toilet room. Above the tub is a beautiful mosaic featuring water lilies. The second bathroom has a sink, toilet, and stand up shower. Green and blue tiling adds a pop of color to the shower wall and a framed sepia-toned depiction of the French Quarter hangs on the wall. The mirror above the sink features a fun light-up design of Louis and Ray.
These 1-bedroom villas also come with a washer/dryer, a full kitchen featuring an oven, dishwasher, sink, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and storage space with dinnerware, two TVs, and lots of storage space.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to staying in a Princess and the Frog 1-bedroom villa?

Disney Magic would not be possible without the dedication of the Disney Custodial Cast Members
Walt Disney World is dubbed the Most Magical Place on Earth for a reason. In this magical realm, beloved characters are often hidden in plain sight. On the occasion of National Custodian Appreciation Day, we invite you to meet three remarkable custodians from Walt Disney World who infuse magic into the guest experience in subtle and unexpected ways!
At Disneyโs Animal Kingdom Theme Park Greg, a custodial cast member, knows the excitement and sense of awe the park brings better than anyone. A former artist, Greg took on the role of custodian at Disneyโs Animal Kingdom and began noticing the untamed beauty of the flowers scattered throughout the park. Inspired by their vivid colors and unique shapes, he started collecting these blooms during his rounds and transformed them into breathtaking floral masterpieces.
“The most rewarding part of my role is when guests join me while I’m creating my art,” says Greg. “When I notice children watching me, I hand them a flower and ask if they’d like to help. I love creating these unexpected surprises to add to the magicโand they love it too!”
Greg’s vibrant displays serve as a reminder that art can bloom wherever inspiration takes root.
Amidst the whirlwind of attractions and parade floats at Magic Kingdom Park, Joel, a custodial cast member, brings a touch of enchantment to the park’s vibrant atmosphere with his extraordinary flair for transforming water into captivating works of art.
Using a simple broom and a splash of water, Joel’s artistic process flows as fluidly as the water he wields. Breathing life into beloved characters like Mickey and friends, each piece is a testament to his artistic passion as he turns water into wonder.
“There are times when I’ve been so engrossed in creating water art that I look up to find a crowd has gathered to watch what I’m doing,” shares Joel. “Their reactions and excitement make me love what I do. I have never felt so appreciated!”
EPCOT cast member Dye possesses a unique talent for turning ordinary towels into whimsical creations, ranging from adorable animals to iconic characters. Her creations adorn the restrooms she cares for, adding a touch of delight to the guest experience.
“I love that in Custodial I can be myself,” Dye explains. “Everyone comes to Walt Disney World to have fun, so I get to bring my silly and authentic self to work every day. People always tell us how we make their visit magical, but interactions with guests are what make my day magical! Creating special moments for them is my favorite part of the day.”
Always up for a challenge, Dye is currently perfecting her towel shark after a cast member mentioned it as their favorite animal. “Just give me one week. I’ll have it figured out,” says Dye confidently.
We extend our gratitude to our custodial cast members, not just on National Custodian Appreciation Day but every day of the year. Thank you for making our parks shine and sparkle as brightly as you do!

New signage has been spotted on EPCOT’s Living with the Land
Guests riding Living With the Land at EPCOT have even more updates to take in. Recently, a new hydroponic system was installed on the ride, and now the signage for the Biotechnology Lab has received an upgrade.
The new sign marking the Biotechnology lab appears to be the only new sign installed on the attraction. The upgraded sign contains the same look and feel as the rest of the updated signage located throughout EPCOT’s World Nature neighborhood. The sign is an eye-catching replacement to the old sign, which featured a light blue and yellow color scheme and looks a bit dated when compared to this new sign.
Living With the Land is an attraction that reveals the history of farming, and allows guests to see how Walt Disney World horticulturalists use innovative growing techniques to help feed a growing planet. Guests can get a closer look at the plants (and fish) that call Living with the Land home via the Behind the Seeds Tour.

The Nightmare Before Christmas Returning to Theaters for its 30th Anniversary
Guess who’s back after 30 years! Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is set to enchant audiences once again as it celebrates its 30th anniversary with a grand return to theaters. On October 20th, this stop-motion animated classic by director Henry Selick will grace screens across the United States and Canada, three decades after its original October 1993 debut. Adding a magical touch to the celebration, the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California, will showcase The Nightmare Before Christmas in 4Dโa 3D presentation with immersive in-theater effects. The anniversary screenings at this iconic venue will feature specialty concessions, souvenirs, and more.
To commemorate this special re-release, Disney has commissioned new artwork inspired by the film, created by Shepard Fairey’s Studio Number On (see below).
The holiday classic unfolds the tale of Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, yearning for something more than the same old tricks and treats. Upon discovering the enchanting magic of Christmas Town, Jack decides to bring the joyous holiday back to Halloween Town, leading to a series of comical and heartwarming misadventures. The film’s stellar cast includes Chris Sarandon and Danny Elfman as the voice of Jack Skellington, Catherine O’Hara as Sally, William Hickey as Dr. Finkelstein, Glenn Shadix as the Mayor, and Ken Page as the sinister Oogie Boogie.
As The Nightmare Before Christmas graces the big screen once again, Disney is pulling out all the stops to mark this milestone. Alongside the theatrical return, Disney is releasing new 30th-anniversary collectibles, including a clothing line and a limited-edition Starbucks tumbler.
Fans can also own the movie, newly remastered on 4K UHD for the first time, or catch it on Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween throughout October. ABC will broadcast The Nightmare Before Christmas on October 22nd at 8 p.m. ET, followed by airings on the Disney Channel on October 28th and December 11th.
Get ready to immerse yourself in the whimsical world of Jack Skellington and relive the magic of this timeless Halloween and Christmas classic.
