We have some GREAT news for all of you planning an April trip to Walt Disney World. Walt Disney World is serving up a heaping helping of magical memories with extended park hours in THREE of the Walt Disney World theme parks!

From April 21st through 27th, three of your favorite parks – Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom – are staying open later, giving you more time to conquer rides, experience dazzling shows, and create unforgettable moments with your loved ones.

Here’s the scoop on the extended hours:

Magic Kingdom:
- Previously scheduled for 9 am to 9 pm, the park will now open at 8 am on Friday, April 26th, and Saturday, April 27th.
- Get ready for extended nights too! The park will close at 11 pm on April 21st, 26th, and 27th, and at 10 pm from April 22nd to 24th.
Calling all resort guests! Don’t miss the exclusive extended evening hours on April 24th, from 10 pm to midnight.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios:

Originally scheduled to close at 9 pm daily, the park will keep the lights on a bit longer, staying open until 9:30 pm on Sunday, April 21st, and all the way to 10 pm on April 25th, 26th, and 27th.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom:

Calling all animal adventurers! Your exploration time just got extended. Originally planned to operate from 9 am to 6 pm, the park will now open at 8 am daily during this magical time.
Get ready for extended evenings on April 21st, 26th, and 27th, where the park will close at 7 pm instead.

EPCOT maintains its regular hours, opening at 10 am on Sunday, April 21st, and at 9 am every other day of the week, closing at 9 pm daily. Don’t forget, early theme park entry for Disney Resort hotel guests continues throughout this period, allowing them to enter the park 30 minutes before regular park opening.

Casting Crowns and Cain Headline Dollywood’s Rock The Smokies

Get ready to be uplifted at Dollywood’s popular contemporary Christian festival, Rock the Smokies! On Saturday, August 17th, the event features headline performances in Celebrity Theater by Casting Crowns and CAIN.

Celebrating two decades of powerful music, Casting Crowns arrives fresh off their “Healer” tour. Lead singer Mark Hall reveals that the album, packed with inspirational songs, was born from the challenges of the pandemic.

“I was walking through the world when it began to shut down, just like everybody else,” Hall started. “I’ve been a youth pastor for over 20 years, and here I was counseling teenagers who’d just lost their senior year, lost their friend groups, felt hopeless for the future. As I started working on this record, I realized all the songs I was writing dealt with healing in some way, something we all need. And more than that, we need a Healer. This whole album is about healing, about how God meets us where we are and what His healing looks like.”

Sibling group CAIN quickly became a household name when their debut single “Rise Up (Lazarus)” was released in 2020. The trio of pastor’s kids from Hartselle, Alabama, has performed at The Grand Ole Opry, Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Ryman Auditorium alongside some of the most successful artists in the genre. The headlining concerts are emceed by Heath Arthur, Christian actor, comedian and entertainer.

Additionally, Rock the Smokies features several other contemporary Christian artists performing on stages throughout the park. Those artists include Chris Ekiss, Lizzie Morgan, Riley Clemmons, and Ryan Ellis. All performances outside of Celebrity Theater are free with park admission.

Tickets for the headline events are extremely popular, and premium seats tend to sell out quickly. Pre-sale begins Thursday, April 11, with tickets on sale to the general public on Friday, April 12. Tickets are good for seats in Celebrity Theater shows only; all other general admission concerts are first come, first served.

Meet & Greet opportunities are available through the platinum VIP package. Special Dollywood season pass holder pricing also is available on the event website.

By combining all the adventures of a day at the theme park with great music, Dollywood has crafted a unique event packed with fun for all ages. A ticket purchase includes admission to Dollywood. Millennium Falcon Lands at the Grand Californian Hotel

Season of the Force has begun at the Disneyland Resort and offerings aren’t limited to the parks! The Millennium Falcon is on display in the Grand Californian Hotel lobby.

This isn’t the first time the Falcon display took up residence at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. In 2022 the display arrived for Disneyland After Dark Star Wars Nite. Now, it has returned just for Season of the Force!

The entire display is made of rice cereal treats and chocolate! The spires of Batuu can be seen in the background with the iconic Millennium Falcon in the front.

Season of the Force is running now through June 2, 2024. Guests don’t need a park ticket in order to see the amazing display in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. You don’t even need to be staying at the resort in order to see it. So, if you are going to be in the area, go see it while you can!

Roaming Droids to Become Daily Offering in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland

BD-X Roaming Droids will be part of Season of the Force at Disneyland for the first time this year! These droids were playtested by Walt Disney Imagineering last year but we expect to see them more during the Star Wars celebration.

The adorable BD-X droids, a hit during last year’s testing phase on the streets of Black Spire Outpost, are officially joining the daily festivities for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during the Season of the Force. You can spot them roaming throughout Black Spire Outpost from April 5th until June 2nd.

The three droids are each a different color. There is a green one, blue one, and orange one. Back when they were “in training” the cast members called them by their colors. We aren’t sure if they have specific names now.

Freely roaming droids were always envisioned for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge since its 2019 opening, including the adorable BD-X droids. While crowd management was a concern for Disney initially, these new additions finally bring that vision to life.

Goofy in his New Hawaiian Shirt Appearing with Max in Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has seen a welcome return of character interactions after a period of limited availability due to COVID-19. Goofy in his new Hawaiian shirt with his son, Max, was one we really enjoyed experiencing!

Goofy and his son Max are teaming up for meet-and-greets on Grand Avenue, leaving behind their solo appearances and those wacky “A Goofy Movie” costumes. While they are in their regular outfits, Goofy’s has a little extra something!

Goofy was quite happy to give us a little spin and fashion show, showing off his cool Hawaiian shirt! The shirt has a light blue background with darker blue and orange Hawaiian flowers.

Goofy and Max were clearly thrilled to be back together for meet-and-greets! It seems their recent separation, with Max stationed at Echo Lake and Goofy near Baseline Taphouse, is a thing of the past.

Fans are loving her new short hair and have even dubbed her “Disney Sweeney.” One enthusiastic fan jokingly suggested Disney should close the park for her visit. While that didn’t happen, it’s clear she had a blast at Disney World, and her fans are loving it.

Sydney Sweeney is a rising star who’s impressed audiences with her diverse roles.

BDX Droids Appear at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park During Season of the Force

The playful and curious BDX Droids, who appeared last year during a one-day playtest, are scheduled to make daily appearances around Black Spire Outpost during Season of the Force.

Sabine Wren Arrives at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park

For a limited-time, guests may also encounter Sabine Wren from the Disney+ series “Ahsoka” at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Seatos: New Destination on Star Tours – The Adventures Continue at Disneyland Park

At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California, and Disneyland Paris, the attraction Star Tours – The Adventures Continue has introduced a new destination and characters from recent Disney+ series – “Ahsoka,” “Andor” and “The Mandalorian.” During their flight, guests may encounter urgent transmissions from Ahsoka Tano, Cassian Andor or Din Djarin and Grogu. Guests may also visit the planet, Seatos, from the “Ahsoka” series.

Season of the Force Seek and Find Activity in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park: Guests can discover hidden cylinders in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to uncover a code word and receive a keepsake, available for a limited time during Season of the Force at Disneyland Park. There is no fee required to participate. Limit of one map per guest and one keepsake per map. Redemption is valid through June 6, 2024, or while supplies last.

Cinderella’s Mice Perla & Suzy Visiting Guests in Hollywood Studios

Guests at Hollywood Studios were surprised by some cute mice the other day! And no, we’re not talking about the head mouse himself. Two of Cinderella’s helpful mice, Perla & Suzy were out interacting with guests!

While you won’t find Cinderella’s mice, Jaq and Gus, greeting guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there’s still a chance to be charmed by some of their friends! Suzy and Perla, two of the other mice who assist Cinderella, sometimes make appearances at different locations throughout Walt Disney World.

Imagine strolling through the park and spotting these adorable furry friends! They might be dressed in their finest, one in a delightful lavender gown and the other sporting a lovely blue dress. With a little patience and a sprinkle of pixie dust, you might get the chance to meet them, share a wave, and capture a precious photo together. It’ll be a memory as delightful as a happily ever after.

Sabine Wren from Ahsoka Appearing in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland

Season of the Force has begun at the Disneyland Resort! Among some new characters available is Sabine Wren from the Disney+ series, Ahsoka.

Sabine is appearing in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge for a limited time for the celebration of May the 4th (Star Wars Day). Disney shared the news on Instagram:

Sabine Wren is a multifaceted character who appears in both animation and live-action within the Star Wars universe.Voiced by Tiya Sircar, she’s a central figure in the animated series “Star Wars Rebels.” Natasha Liu Bordizzo brings Sabine to life in the live-action series “Ahsoka.” Sabine’s character also extends to the animated shorts collection “Star Wars Forces of Destiny.”

A skilled Mandalorian warrior, Sabine possesses a unique blend of artistic talent and combat prowess. Notably, she wielded the Darksaber, an ancient Mandalorian weapon imbued with history. Her lightsaber training began under Kanan Jarrus in “Rebels,” and she continued to hone her skills under Ahsoka Tano, as depicted in “Ahsoka.”
