Taylor Swift Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) to Stream Exclusively on Disney+ Beginning Next Month
Disney+ has revealed that “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version),” the complete concert film featuring the song “cardigan” and four additional acoustic tracks, is set to make its streaming premiere exclusively on Disney+ on March 15, 2024.
This cinematic experience, directed by Sam Wrench, has etched its place in history as a top-grossing concert film, amassing over $260 million in global box office revenue. The film showcases the artistic brilliance of the 14-time Grammy®-winning artist, Taylor Swift, offering fans a unique and captivating journey through her illustrious musical journey.
In making the announcement Disney CEO Bob Iger said, “The Eras Tour has been a true phenomenon that has and continues to thrill fans around the world, and we are very excited to bring this electrifying concert to audiences wherever they are, exclusively through Disney+.”
Disney teaming up with Fortnite maker Epic Games with 1.5 Billion Investment
The Walt Disney Company and Epic Games are set to join forces in creating an innovative games and entertainment universe, marking an expansion of Disney’s cherished stories and experiences. Disney is set to make a significant investment of $1.5 billion to secure an equity stake in Epic Games as part of this multiyear venture. The completion of the transaction is contingent on meeting standard closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
This collaborative project aims to deliver an exceptional gaming experience that integrates seamlessly with Fortnite. The newly established persistent universe will not only provide a top-tier gaming experience but will also present various opportunities for users to play, watch, shop, and interact with content, characters, and narratives from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and more. Players, gamers, and enthusiasts will have the chance to craft their own stories, express their Disney fandom uniquely, and share content with fellow fans in a manner they truly appreciate—all powered by the cutting-edge Unreal Engine.

Deepening the Epic Games & Disney Relationship
Disney and Epic Games have engaged hundreds of millions of players through Fortnite content integrations, season collaborations, in-game activations, and live events, including the Marvel Nexus War with Galactus, which drew more than 15.3 million concurrent players.
Unreal Engine is used to produce assets and content across the Disney portfolio including in the development of video games like Kingdom Hearts 3 and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor; in cinematic editing and animation for film and streaming; and in the creation of more than 15 Disney Parks attractions like Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
This all builds on Epic Games’ participation in the 2017 Disney Accelerator program, which seeks to impact the future of technology and entertainment.

Diseny is preparing to launch the all-new ‘The Little Mermaid-A Musical Adventure’ at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The show, a replacement for The Voyage of the Little Mermaid which did not re-open following the COVID-related park closures, has been releasing job postings for various roles within the show. The latest posting-which is looking for puppeteers-was accompanied by some all-new concept art for the show!
In addition to the parts of Ariel and Eric, the show is casting puppeteers, seemingly for the parts of the parts of Sebastian, Flounder, and Max. The three characters are depicted in the concept art with a unique and detailed appearance that differs from what we have seen in the animated and live-action films.
Puppeteers looking to apply for one of the roles can apply at the Disney auditions website. The job description notes they will “use their skills to interact with guests and tell classic Disney tales using a variety of puppeteering techniques and styles, from hand-and-rod, to mechanical, to full-body parade puppets.” The job will extend beyond the confines of the show building, as the puppeteers will also be tasked with bringing “to life our walk-around Disney costumed Characters in Parks and Resorts. Because of this, a basic movement routine in included in the Online Submission, as well as improv exercises.'”
