Disney Cruise Line is set to open a new tropical destination called Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point on the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas in June 2024. This unique retreat will offer guests a chance to experience the rich culture, warm hospitality, and natural beauty of The Bahamas. Construction is continuing full steam ahead as the opening date for the island approaches, and we have some updated photos from Disney ready to share with you!
The updated photos depict vibrant cabanas designed by a Bahamian artist that dot the island’s shores. The architecture throughout the island is inspired by colorful seashells, and guests can enjoy tasty BBQ at True-True Too BBQ while taking in ocean views. The tram stops on the island will be brightly colored, reflecting Bahamian art and culture.
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is celebrating Bahamian culture, particularly the Junkanoo tradition. Disney has supported the Junior Junkanoo competition in Eleuthera, helping preserve this cultural tradition. The company has also increased support for the program, providing funding and hosting workshops for students to learn about creative careers.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse will debut new looks designed by Bahamian fashion designer Theodore Elyett when they visit the island. Their outfits will have a Bahamian flair, inspired by the Junkanoo festival as depicted in the video from Disney above.

Universal’s Epic Universe, set to open in 2025, is bringing an out-of-this-world experience with its Starfall Racers roller coaster. This breathtaking, dual-launch coaster is all about speed and cosmic adventure, reaching incredible speeds of up to 62 mph. We have your latest sneak peak of this new coaster thanks to X user bioreconsctruct.
Imagine boarding a comet and rocketing to the furthest reaches of the stars, soaring at heights of up to 133 feet along 5,000 feet of track. The highlight of this cosmic journey is the “Celestial Spin,” an inverted crisscross that promises a dazzling display of blazing colors and ethereal music.

And when the sun sets, the ride takes on a magical quality with no external track lighting. The fully illuminated ride vehicles will appear as comets shooting across the night sky above Celestial Park, one of the themed lands in Epic Universe.

Aerial photos taken by the talented photographer bioreconstruct offer a sneak peek into the progress of Dark Universe, one of the five themed lands at the upcoming Universal Epic Universe park. These images shared on X on March 10, 2024, provide a glimpse into the eerie world that awaits visitors.
The highlight of Dark Universe is the manor facade, speculated to house the land’s E-ticket attraction, rumored to be called Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment. A significant amount of scaffolding has been removed from the building’s front, with added greenery enhancing its eerie appearance. Track for the Curse of the Werewolf rollercoaster is evident in the bottom left portion of the photo.

Another aerial perspective offers a captivating journey through Dark Universe, beginning at the striking portal tower that welcomes visitors into the realm. From there, the view sweeps through the eerie village, where each building adds to the land’s mysterious ambiance. The path leads to the imposing gated entrance of the manor, promising thrilling adventures within. The section near the gravestones at the front right has been obscured by scaffolding in this photo.

Exciting news for all Nintendo fans! Aerial photos have just been released by X user bioreconstruct, giving us a glimpse into the construction progress of Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe theme park, set to open in 2025. The photos show how the theme park is bringing the Super Mario universe to life.
The photos show the intricate details that have been included in Mount Beanpole, as well as the uncovered cars for Yoshi’s Adventure. It’s thrilling to see this beloved character’s ride taking shape, promising a fun adventure for visitors of all ages, and the elements on Mount Beanpole look like they have been plucked directly from the video games!
A version of Yoshi’s Adventure is already open at Universal Studios Japan. The ride is described as follows: Hang on to Yoshi as you search for Captain Toad on a treasure hunt! Use the Captain’s map to find 3 mysterious eggs! Get a spectacular view of the Mushroom Kingdom from Mount Beanpole while having fun on this ride that’s perfect for the whole family. The attraction in Japan is noted to require a minimum height of 48 inches to ride alone, or 36 inches to ride with an adult.

Exciting news for Florida residents! Walt Disney World has announced a special ticket offer that lets you experience the magic and thrills of all four theme parks at an incredible price. The 4-Day Discover Disney Ticket is available for just $59 per day, plus tax, totaling $235 plus tax. If you’re looking for a shorter visit, there’s also a specially priced 3-day ticket available for $73 per day ($219 total).
The Discover Disney Ticket is valid from April 2 to September 28, 2024, and these tickets do require a theme park reservation be made in advance to use them. Remember that reservations are limited and subject to availability, so be sure to plan ahead.
These tickets can be used on consecutive or nonconsecutive days, allowing you to spread out the fun over the summer. If you want to add even more excitement to your visit, there are add-on options available:
Park Hopper Option: For an additional $40 per ticket, plus tax, you can visit more than one theme park on the same day.
Water Park and Sports Option: For an extra $35 per ticket, plus tax, you get a certain number of visits to a water park, golf course, or miniature golf course based on the length of your ticket.
Park Hopper Plus Option: For $55 more per ticket, plus tax, you can enjoy the benefits of both the Park Hopper and Water Park and Sports options.
Since this discount is intended only for Florida residents, proof of residency will be required at the park entrance. Also, keep in mind that admission is subject to capacity closures and other restrictions, so it’s always a good idea to check the latest information before your visit.

Disneyland is testing out a new PhotoPass offering at the parks! The Photo Excursion gives guests a mini photo session in one of the lands in Disneyland park with a Disney PhotoPass Photographer.
The Photo Excursion offering is currently available in Disneyland at the Frontierland entrance from noon to 6:45 pm daily. We noticed guests were lining up around 11:30 to take advantage of this free experience.
There are four lands guests can choose from to have their photos taken in: Frontierland, Adventureland, Main Street USA, and Fantasyland. One of the PhotoPass Photographers we spoke to recommended choosing Frontierland or Adventureland since there aren’t any photographers currently in those lands for photo opportunities.
We chose Adventureland for our Photo Excursion. It was a 20 minute session and our Disney PhotoPass photographer took us to three locations in the land. First, we took multiple shots on and around Adventureland Treehouse. Then, we took photos near the Temple of the Forbidden Eye outside of Indiana Jones Adventure. To finish our session, our photographer took us up some stairs above Jungle Cruise for a few fun photos.
The Photo Excursion was a great experience and so fun to have different pictures! You will need to either purchase Disney Genie+ or have a Magic Key with PhotoPass in order to get all of your photos. There is also the option of purchasing each photo individually.
One of the Disney PhotoPass Photographers also mentioned to us that the Disneyland testing will end on Saturday, March 16, and they will be moving over to Disney California Adventure on Sunday the 17 for 4 weeks of testing in that park. They aren’t sure exactly where the Photo Excursions will take place in California Adventure but speculation is the line for the experience will be in San Fransokyo Square.

New Turnstiles with MagicBand Touchpoints Debut at Disneyland
While at the Disneyland Resort recently, we noticed a few new turnstiles had been installed at the entrance to Disney California Adventure. Permits had been filed late last year for the entrance to be updated and it looks like work has started.
The recently installed turnstiles are situated on the far right side of the entrance, opposite the gates leading to Disney California Adventure. They are currently inactive. The new turnstiles are encircled by multiple barriers on either side.
Permits for updated park gates at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure were submitted to the City of Anaheim on December 8, 2023. These plans also included the installation of the new turnstiles.
The new turnstiles are designed with ample space to accommodate strollers, wheelchairs, and scooters, facilitating easier passage. Their appearance closely resembles the recently upgraded turnstiles installed at Disneyland Paris. Guests at Disneyland Paris can effortlessly scan their tickets once at the turnstiles for entry. If a park reservation is associated with a guest’s ticket, the gates open automatically.
There’s also a MagicBand+ touchpoint installed on the right-hand side, just below a screen with a camera installed. Once in operation, guests with a MagicBand+ can tap into the park as their form of entry.

Star Wars Day Park Reservations Sold Out for Hollywood Studios
If you’re a Star Wars fan, its likely you’ve heard of Star Wars Day, or otherwise known as “May the 4th”. Originating from the famous catch phrase “May the Force be with you”, Star Wars super fans gather from around the world to unite and celebrate this exciting day with light sabers, costumes and more!
Many people chose to spend May the 4th at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Because the park holds the extremely popular area Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, it’s the ideal place to spend the day, and reservations sell out very quickly. As for this year’s May the 4th, reservations at the theme park are already completely full.
If you missed the opportunity to get a reservation for May the 4th this year, we suggest making reservations as soon as you can for 2025. Spending the day at home but still want to feel like you’re part of the adventure the Star Wars movies bring? Thanks to Disney+, you can spend the day having a Star Wars movie marathon! New Animated World Of Super Mario Bros Film Coming in 2026
Illumination and Nintendo, the video game giant, have teamed up for an upcoming animated film centered around the Super Mario Bros. universe. Scheduled for a theatrical release on April 3, 2026, in both the U.S. and international markets, the movie will be directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, with Matthew Fogel penning the screenplay.
The project will be co-financed by Universal Pictures and Nintendo, with Universal handling worldwide distribution for the theatrical release. Melendantri, the founder and CEO of Illumination, along with Shigeru Miyamoto, Representative Director and Fellow of Nintendo, will serve as producers.
Expressing enthusiasm for the collaboration, Illumination highlighted their commitment to bringing joy and discovery to audiences of all ages worldwide, as they continue their partnership with Nintendo.
“By getting deeply involved in the movie production with the aim to put smiles on everyone’s faces through entertainment, Nintendo will continue its efforts to produce unique entertainment and deliver it to as many people as possible,’ the company said.
The Super Mario Brothers film was one of the year’s biggest films, being overtaken by only Barbie with 1.3 Billion dollars (1.4 Barbie). The film was a triumph for the studios, therefore a sequel doesn’t surprise anyone as they would love to capitalize on “Mario Fever.”
