New Pixar Fest Merchandise Arriving At Disneyland Next Month!
Take a look at the sneak peek of the Pixar Fest Merchandise arriving to Disneyland just in time to get ready for the festival taking place from April 26th through August 4th, 2024!
Unique and fun merchandise will be available in April like a must have Spirit Jersey in navy blue, hoodies, t-shirts, baseball and bucket hats plus a new Lug bag featuring the Pixar ball and a mug and water bottle with all the Pixar characters.
There will also be special limited-time collectible medallions themed to each of your favorite Pixar films coming to Disneyland Resort just for Pixar Fest. Machines with the medallions will be located throughout Disneyland park, Disney California Adventure park, Downtown Disney District and the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort.

Meet the Audio-Animatronic Critters of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
In the enchanting bayou of Princess Tiana’s world, a delightful mix-up between Prince Naveen and Louis has set the stage for an unexpected adventure. As Tiana prepares for a grand party, a mishap leads to a crucial need for a band, sparking a thrilling quest for musical critters in the heart of the bayou.
Enter the critters – all-new Disney characters created exclusively for this magical attraction. These lovable critters play a pivotal role in bringing the bayou to life with their infectious music and charming personalities. Led by Tiana and Louis, guests will embark on a whimsical journey to find these musical companions, ensuring that the party goes on in true New Orleans style.
The first encounter introduces us to a group of critter musicians, serenading guests with a lively rendition of “Gonna Take You There” from “The Princess and the Frog.” Picture a Zydeco-inspired melody resonating through the bayou, complete with fiddles, accordions, washboards, and other unique instrument voices. As guests float down the river amidst dancing fireflies, they can’t help but sing along to the familiar tune.
But who are these adorable critters behind the music? Stay tuned to meet these charming musicians and discover their delightful backstories. Moreover, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure promises even more surprises as guests uncover new friends and experiences along the way.
Byhalia the Beaver – Byhalia doesn’t just build dams; she helps build musical instruments using natural materials from the bayou. As a strong-willed percussionist, it’s safe to say Byhalia is the heartbeat of the band, as well as a natural designer and engineer.
Gritty the Rabbit – Always willing to dig a little deeper to help others, Gritty plays the washboard (a found automobile license plate) with a high-energy flair. It’s the perfect instrument for someone who’s often overzealous and digs to relieve her nerves.
Beau the Opossum – Seeing limitless possibilities, no one finds more wonder in the bayou and the sounds of zydeco music than Beau. All she knows is beauty, especially her own. You can find her plucking out the low notes with her upright gourd bass, which of course, involves some musical dexterity with her tail.
Apollo the Raccoon – Apollo loves transforming abandoned objects into works of musical art – like his squeezebox. He’s full of energy and storytelling, especially about the objects he finds in the bayou. He’s particularly close with Rufus and appreciates Rufus’ calm demeanor.
Rufus the Turtle – Rufus may be a turtle, but he’s quick to jump into rhythm with his harmonica. He’s also the first to join in on new adventures! He’s genuine and sincere but may come across as a little sarcastic at times with his habitual sighing. Rufus loves going on adventures with Apollo.
Timoléon the Otter – He’s the eldest of the band, but Timoléon’s fiddle-playing is inspired by all the ‘kids’ he spends his time around while in the bayou. When he’s not sawing out a jig, he’s famous for telling stories of days long ago about his explorations of every corner of the bayou.
For those captivated by these lovable critters, the adventure extends beyond the bayou. Soon, Beau, Apollo, and Rufus will become huggable plushies, allowing guests to bring a piece of the magic home with them.

Figment fans, we have some exciting news to share with you! After several years of being out of order, Figment’s water cooler in his upside-down house has finally been fixed and is once again bubbling!
Journey Into Imagination With Figment has a long history at EPCOT, originally opening on March 5, 1983. The attraction introduced the lovable purple dragon, Figment, and his friend, the Dreamfinder, who guided guests through the wonders of imagination.
In 1999, the ride underwent a significant overhaul, reopening as Journey Into Your Imagination with a new storyline and a reduced role for Figment. However, this version was not well-received, leading to another update in 2002. The current version, Journey Into Imagination with Figment, restored Figment to a starring role, much to the delight of fans.
The recent repair of the water cooler effect is a small but meaningful update that enhances the ride experience and preserves the attraction’s charm for future generations of EPCOT visitors. So next time you’re at EPCOT, be sure to take a journey with Figment and enjoy the newly restored bubbling water cooler!

A long time ago in a Galaxy Far, Far Away….the Chip and Co team tried an amazing treat at Hollywood Studios-the Star Wars Princess of Alderaan Shake ! Disney recently debuted this out-of-this-world milkshake to honor Women’s History Month and celebrate one of the most iconic female characters in the galaxy.
Priced at $9.79, this salted caramel shake is a tribute to the courageous and wise Princess Leia (the Princess of Alderaan). It’s topped with whipped cream, edible glitter, and mini cinnamon rolls that resemble Leia’s famous hair buns.
The mini cinnamon rolls that serve as Leia’s hair buns are freshly baked at the recently opened Ice Cold Hydraulics on Grand Avenue. They add a touch of sweetness and a hint of spice to the shake, combining with the saltiness of the shake to create the perfect blend of flavors.
Overall we really enjoyed this treat! The milkshake is thick and creamy and features a great blend of salty and sweet flavors. It’s a treat that’s sure to please both your taste buds and your inner Star Wars fan!

For the first time in forever, boats are departing from the Germany boat dock in EPCOT! The Germany boat dock is normally closed, with boats leaving the world showcase from the boat dock in Morocco. Work on the Morocco boat dock has resulted in the return of launches to and from the Germany pavilion.
The Friendship Boats offer a unique and relaxing way to travel between the front of the park and the World Showcase. There are a total of four docks, also known as Friendship Launches, located around the lagoon. In the past, visitors could journey from Canada to Morocco on the west side or from Mexico to Germany on the east side.
However, since the summer of 2016, the Mexico and Germany launches have seen little use. The route often had to be closed for the “Illuminations” nighttime show, leading to the decision to keep it closed. The Morocco boat dock is currently closed for refurbishment, resulting in the transition to the boat dock in Germany.
No word yet on how long the dock in Morocco will be closed.

Disneyland Cast Members Chosen to Test Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
As the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland park approaches, attractions cast members Amber Whittington, Cullen Darius, Erick Rivera, and Shelby Hull are edging closer to the finish line. Recently, in New Orleans Square, this team received the exciting news that they have been selected as the inaugural project leads for the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure test & adjust team.
Disney’s test & adjust teams are a part of the long-standing tradition where cast members apply to be on a specialized team and have the privilege of testing out the attraction long before official opening. This is a coveted and unique opportunity for attractions cast members to work with Walt Disney Imagineering in the initial testing phase of an attraction and get a chance to help shape the guest experience.
It was the ultimate surprise for the cast members as they were brought to Tiana’s Palace restaurant under the guise of an early morning video shoot. That’s when Jada Young, Disney Ambassador of Disneyland Resort, emerged from behind the closed doors of Tiana’s Palace, and revealed the real reason why they were there.
With cheers and applause (and a few tears), joy erupted in New Orleans Square. “Having the opportunity to open up an attraction is an absolute dream come true,” said Adventureland attractions cast member, Cullen. There were other surprises along the way to commemorate the historic moment including a visit from Princess Tiana herself as she congratulated the cast and welcomed them to the bayou. It was a special morning created by cast and filled with pure #DisneyCastLife magic. Disneyland Resort is one step closer to bringing Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to life, which will open at Disneyland park later this year!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take guests on a musical adventure picking up after the events of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “The Princess and the Frog.” Guests will join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis on an adventure through the bayou as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind celebration during Mardi Gras season where everyone is welcome! Along the way, guests will encounter familiar faces, make new friends, and travel through the bayou as they are brought into the next chapter of Tiana’s story.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will also feature original music and some familiar tunes from the beloved movie, a sweeping, colorful mural adorning the queue, two newly redesigned retail locations, and so much more! And all of this, of course, is in addition to the already open Tiana’s Palace restaurant and Eudora’s ‘Chic Boutique featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets in New Orleans Square.

Pieces of Disney Magic have Returned to Storybook Circus Area in the Magic Kingdom
Nods to various Disney classics have reappeared on the luggage props surrounding the Fantasyland train station in Storybook Circus. These references had been absent for several years but have now resurfaced following an apparent refurbishment of the props.
Luggage stacks line the walls on the northern side of the train station/bathrooms, opposite Pete’s Silly Sideshow. There are references to various Disney classics on different items in the area.
The red case with gold trim makes a nod to “Red’s Dream,” Pixar’s second computer-animated short film after “Luxo Jr.” Released in 1987, “Red’s Dream” tells the story of a unicycle dreaming of becoming part of the circus.
The black and brown label on a hatbox bears the inscription, “Ten Schillings and Sixpence, LTD,” with a top hat depicted at the top. Below, it states, “Hats for all occasions… Birthdays, unbirthdays, and all days between,” in a clear nod to the Mad Hatter from “Alice in Wonderland,” whose iconic hat is famously adorned with a 10/6 label, representing ten shillings and sixpence.
Other suitcases nearby feature two different references.
The second suitcase in the pile bears the label “The Big Bad Wolf Balloonologist Extraordinaire.” This is undoubtedly a callback to Disney’s 1934 short film “The Big Bad Wolf,” which was part of the “Silly Symphony” series.
Underneath The Big Bad Wolf’s suitcase, there is luggage belonging to Hyacinth Hippo from the “Dance of the Hours” segment of “Fantasia.”
Further along, past some blue and red barrels, is the final nod to Disney animation. A purple suitcase with blue accents rests on top of a wooden crate.
The purple suitcase proudly displays the logo for “Melody Time Brand Brass Horns” along with the tagline “Always in Toon.” “Melody Time” refers to a 1948 Disney anthology film. The musical stanza framing the film’s title evokes the style of the “Silly Symphony” logo. Additionally, the intentional spelling of “toon” mimics “cartoon” rather than “tune.”
In the Walt Disney World Railroad queue, a Dumbo poster has recently been refreshed to feature “Presented by Scentsy” at the bottom. Scentsy is now the proud sponsor of Dumbo the Flying Elephant, with their branding integrated into the attraction since last year.
