Couples booking weddings or vow renewals for dates between July 1 and August 31, 2027, can save 50% on ceremony venue fees at a variety of Walt Disney World locations. Eligible venues include Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, select resort ceremony locations, several picturesque spots around EPCOT’s World Showcase, and the Tamu Tamu Courtyard at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The savings don’t stop there. Couples can also receive 20% off transportation aboard Cinderella’s Coach or the elegant Landau Coach, making that grand entrance or magical exit a little more affordable.

Perhaps the biggest surprise is that Disney has opened bookings early for these dates. Normally, Disney weddings become available about 12 months in advance, but couples can lock in Summer 2027 dates now. Disney has quietly filed a new construction permit for work near the iconic Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, sparking curiosity about what could be coming to the heart of the park.

According to newly filed documents, Walt Disney World has contracted Buena Vista Construction Company to provide labor, materials, and electrical work for a project on Discovery Island. The permit points to an area of sidewalk located between the Tree of Life, Island Mercantile, and Discovery Trading Company, placing the work right in one of the busiest pathways in the park.

While any permit near the Tree of Life is sure to get Disney fans talking, this filing does not appear to be connected to a major attraction, retheme, or expansion project. In fact, the permit was filed through Disney’s Sourcing & Procurement team and assigned to Buena Vista Construction Company, Disney’s in-house construction division that typically handles smaller-scale projects and infrastructure work.

At this time, Disney has not announced what improvements or changes are planned for the area. The work could be anything from pathway enhancements and electrical upgrades to guest flow improvements around Discovery Island. Whatever the project may be, it is another sign that Disney continues investing in upkeep and enhancements throughout Animal Kingdom while larger projects, including the Tropical Americas expansion, continue to take shape elsewhere in the park.

Browngardt claims the design bears a striking resemblance to Pizza Steve, a fan-favorite character from Uncle Grandpa who is also a pizza slice known for wearing sunglasses.

Browngardt shared his thoughts on X, jokingly writing, “Pizza Steve is gonna be in Toy Story 5!?!” before adding that Pixar had simply “ripped off” his character design. While the comment was made with a dose of humor, it has sparked discussion among animation fans who quickly noticed the similarities between the two pizza-themed characters.

New Photos Reveal Huge Progress on Magic Kingdom’s Cars Land Construction

The transformation of the former Rivers of America into Piston Peak National Park is racing ahead at Magic Kingdom, and these new photos from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad provide one of the clearest looks yet at the massive scale of the project.

From the Big Thunder Mountain queue, guests can now see enormous concrete retaining walls rising from the former riverbed. Large sections of the future attraction footprint have been excavated and graded, with construction crews continuing work on what will eventually become the home of the new Cars-themed expansion. The size of the newly constructed walls offers a glimpse at just how much elevation change and terrain Disney plans to incorporate into the ambitious project.

Several of the photos also showcase extensive formwork and structural elements taking shape near Liberty Square. Cinderella Castle towers in the distance, creating a striking contrast between Magic Kingdom’s iconic centerpiece and one of the park’s largest construction projects in decades. Construction equipment, utility work, and staging areas fill the former waterfront space as Disney continues converting the area into Piston Peak National Park.

Elsewhere across the site, large stacks of concrete drainage pipes and construction materials hint at the significant infrastructure work still underway behind the scenes. Disney has previously shared that the new land will feature waterfalls, geysers, waterways, and mountainous terrain inspired by America’s National Parks, making this groundwork a critical part of bringing the rugged landscape to life.

When completed, Piston Peak National Park will feature two Cars-themed attractions, including a thrilling off-road rally race through mountain trails, mud holes, and geysers. A second family-friendly attraction will be designed for younger racers, while the entire land will blend National Park-inspired architecture with the world of Pixar’s Cars franchise.

Pride Month has arrived at Walt Disney World, and Magic Kingdom is celebrating with a colorful new frozen treat in Tomorrowland. The Pride Slushy is now available at Astrofizz and features a Fanta Orange slushy topped with whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, and a white chocolate rainbow Mickey coin.

We stopped by to give it a try, and if you’re a fan of Orange Fanta or orange soda in general, this one is an easy recommendation. The bright citrus flavor is refreshing and especially welcome during the hot Florida summer afternoons. While it isn’t a groundbreaking dessert, sometimes a simple frozen drink is exactly what you need when the temperatures start climbing.

The whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles add plenty of festive flair, though they don’t significantly change the flavor profile. The standout topping is actually the white chocolate rainbow Mickey coin, which adds a sweet finish and a fun Pride-themed touch to the treat.

Overall, we found the Pride Slushy to be a refreshing and enjoyable seasonal offering. If orange soda is your thing, this colorful frozen drink is well worth a stop during your next trip through Tomorrowland.
