Taylor Swift is back at it again, proving that absolutely everything she touches turns to absolute platinum. Her newest track, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” written specifically for Pixar’s upcoming Toy Story 5, has been out for less than a weekend and is already shattering massive streaming records left and right. Dropping last Friday morning across all streaming platforms, plus standard digital, CD, and vinyl copies for the collectors, the song has immediately taken over the internet.

By Friday night, Spotify announced that the track officially became the most-streamed country song in a single day by a female artist in the platform’s entire history. Over on Apple Music, the story wasn’t any different. Swift snatched the title for the biggest country single of 2026 and completely demolished their all-time record for the biggest soundtrack single ever based on first-day plays.

To bring the track to life, Swift teamed up with her go-to musical partner, Jack Antonoff. Taylor described the writing process as a mix of old and new, sharing that it felt like a total musical departure but also like “coming home” at the exact same time. She admitted that trying to capture the emotional depth of a legacy character like Jessie was a unique challenge, but one that ultimately felt like second nature once they got rolling.

Florida Woman Arrested for Using Her Daughter to Steal $ in Disney Pins

Florida Woman Accused of Using Daughter to Steal More Than $2,000 in Disney Merchandise at Disney Springs

A South Florida woman is facing criminal charges after authorities say she worked alongside her underage daughter in a theft scheme that targeted merchandise stores at Disney Springs.

According to an Orange County Sheriff’s Office report, 52-year-old Ivette Perez of Miami was arrested and charged with third-degree grand theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor following an incident that took place on April 12.

The investigation began when employees at Disney’s Pin Traders reportedly observed a juvenile girl placing collectible Disney pins into her bag without paying for them. Store employees estimated the girl may have taken between 15 and 40 pins during the incident. While the theft was unfolding, employees became suspicious when an adult woman, later identified as Perez, allegedly attempted to distract cast members by requesting a clear plastic bag.

Authorities say the juvenile later left the store and was eventually stopped at World of Disney. When deputies investigated, they discovered the pair were allegedly in possession of more than $2,000 worth of stolen merchandise from Disney Springs locations.

According to the arrest report, Perez admitted she knew her daughter was stealing merchandise and did not have enough money to purchase the items. Investigators also cited text messages between the two that allegedly discussed hurrying up and returning to the car before they were caught with the stolen goods.

The sheriff’s report concluded that Perez knowingly assisted and encouraged the thefts while maintaining possession of stolen merchandise herself. Court records show Perez has pleaded not guilty to the charges. The case remains ongoing.

The incident serves as a reminder that Disney Springs security and store teams actively monitor retail locations and work closely with law enforcement when thefts occur.

Exterior Refurbishment Work Underway at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Scaffolding Rises at Disney’s Contemporary Resort as Long-Term Refurbishment Continues

Guests arriving at Disney’s Contemporary Resort may notice a few extra steel beams mixed in with the iconic A-frame views. New scaffolding has appeared outside the resort as Disney continues its extensive exterior refurbishment project.

The newly installed scaffolding is located to the right of the resort’s main entrance and currently reaches up to the lowest levels of guest room balconies. Temporary barriers have been put in place around the work zone, preventing guests from accessing the area while crews continue construction.

Construction activity is most visible on the far right side of the building, where tarps and construction walls can be seen around several balconies. These rooms are currently unavailable to guests while refurbishment work is underway. On the ground level, crews have also been refreshing portions of the resort’s exterior, including repainting support poles beneath the porte cochere.

This refurbishment project first began in September 2024 and has seen its completion timeline extended multiple times. While the work was originally expected to wrap up in 2025, Disney has since pushed the project timeline through the end of 2027. Despite the ongoing construction, the resort remains fully operational, with the majority of guest areas, dining locations, and amenities continuing to welcome visitors.

The Contemporary may be getting a fresh coat of pixie dust, but for now guests should expect to see construction equipment sharing the spotlight with one of Walt Disney World’s most recognizable resort hotels.
