Groot and Friends Take Over “it’s a small world” at Tokyo Disneyland

Tokyo Disney Resort has revealed exciting new details about the upcoming limited-time overlay, “it’s a small world with Groot,” set to debut at Tokyo Disneyland Park from January 15th through June 30th, 2025.

In this unique experience, beloved Marvel characters, including Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy, will join the classic “it’s a small world” ride, reimagined in the attraction’s signature charming style.

A recently released video offers a behind-the-scenes look at the crafting process, showcasing classic “it’s a small world” dolls transformed into iconic heroes such as Black Panther, Captain America, Mantis, and Gamora.

Other characters will also be featured in unique ways, like Rocket Raccoon enjoying gelato in Italy or Ant-Man and the Wasp riding a giant ant through the outback. Multiple Baby Groots will be sprinkled throughout the various scenes, suggesting that they may temporarily replace many of the original Disney characters during this overlay.

This will be the first time Marvel characters have been integrated into an attraction at Tokyo Disney Resort, offering a fresh and exciting experience for fans of both franchises.

“it’s a small world with Groot” promises to be a delightful blend of classic Disney charm and Marvel superhero excitement.

In preparation for the overlay, “it’s a small world” will temporarily close in the fall of 2024.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh Reopening Date Announced for Disneyland

Disneyland Resort has announced that The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh will reopen at Disneyland Park tomorrow! The popular ride had been temporarily closed while the surrounding Critter Country area undergoes a transformation into the newly named Bayou Country.

Both The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Pooh Corner will reopen to guests at Disneyland Park on August 29, located in the newly renamed Bayou Country.

The news of the reopening was announced on Disney Eats’ official Instagram account. The post also revealed that a new Blue Honey Pot apple would be available to celebrate the occasion at Pooh Corner.

Attraction Access Point Kiosks Offer Return Times for Haunted Houses

Universal Orlando has taken a significant step toward enhancing the experience for guests with disabilities at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights by introducing new Attraction Access Points. These points allow eligible guests with Disability Access Cards to receive return times for the haunted houses via conveniently located kiosks, with currently available info pointing toward a total of two available, one on each end of Universal Studios Florida. This new service, photos of which were posted on social media during team member previews, is designed to make the event more accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Navigating Halloween Horror Nights can be challenging, especially since many of the haunted houses are located in backstage areas, resulting in extensive walking. For guests with disabilities, this can be particularly difficult. The introduction of these kiosks means that guests no longer need to physically travel to each haunted house to secure a return time for the house. Instead, they can use the centrally located kiosks to obtain return times for each house, allowing them to enjoy other parts of the event or take a break while waiting.

To use the new kiosks, guests must have the IBCCES Individual Accessibility Card (IAC), which is required for requesting attraction queue accommodations. The process for qualifying for the card are as follows:

The IAC can be obtained by registering at www.accessibilitycard.org within 30 days of visiting the park.
- The registration process includes completing an online application and uploading necessary documentation.
Once all the IAC requirements are met, a Universal Orlando Team Member will reach out to discuss specific accommodations for the guest.
- Note that only IBCCES can issue the IBCCES Accessibility Card, not Universal Orlando. Once the card is obtained, Universal will utilize the information from IBCCES to explore accommodations for each qualifying guest.

Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, was a nail-biter from start to finish.

Visitors to EPCOT can catch the show in Inspiration Garden, located closest to World Nature. The schedule remains unchanged, with six shows offered daily from 10:15 am onwards, exclusively on Saturdays through Wednesdays.
