“Hocus Pocus” Returns to The El Capitan with Special Fan Event

Orlando International Airport to Charge Highest Customer Facility Fee for Car Rentals
Orlando International Airport is addressing its parking congestion with a new solution! A single-site Consolidated Rental Car Facility (ConRAC) will house all rental cars, freeing up valuable parking spaces in the airport’s three garages, especially during peak travel times.
Unfortunately, this new convenience comes at a cost to rental car customers. News 6 revealed that MCO is set to implement the highest Customer Facility Fee (CFC) in Florida and one of the highest in the nation.
Many people have rented cars at MCO, as Orlando is a global leader in the car rental industry. The current setup is highly convenient, with car pickup located right in the garages opposite the terminals.
However, this convenience comes at a cost. The current setup occupies thousands of parking spaces within the garage, which could otherwise be used by travelers. To address this, the airport is constructing a new Consolidated Rental Car Facility (ConRAC) near Terminal C. This facility is expected to free up approximately 5,000 parking spaces in the existing garages.
“MCO is the largest rental car market in the world, and GOAA plans to streamline services and make car rental more efficient with the creation of the ConRAC,” Starke said. “The facility would instantly open up about 5,000 parking spaces in the existing A, B and C garages, where rental cars are currently housed. With the opening of a ConRAC, all rental cars would be located there and this would help to reduce any customer confusion. Additionally, the facility would help decrease curb congestion and prevent circling by drivers – ultimately increasing road safety.”
Customers will need to take a shuttle bus or train to reach the new Consolidated Rental Car Facility (ConRAC) from the airport terminals.
“This is a long-term project of an enormous size, and there are several supporting projects that need to be in place before construction begins,” Starke said. “With that said, and depending on funding, the ConRAC is expected to be completed by 2032.”
Unfortunately, rental car customers will begin paying for this new facility starting November 1. The GOAA Board of Directors approved an increase in the Customer Facility Charge from $6 to $9 per day, with a maximum collection period of seven days.
In addition to the CFC, renting a car at MCO involves several other fees, such as a Concession Recovery Fee, Energy Recovery Fee, Florida Surcharge, Vehicle License Fee, and Waste Tire & Battery Fee. These fees alone can add up to over $150 for a weeklong SUV rental.
With the 50% increase in MCO’s daily CFC fee on November 1, it will match the highest rate in the country, currently charged at LAX.
Limited Edition StarSpeeder 3000 Vehicle from D23 Coming to Hollywood Studios
Get ready to blast off into a galaxy far, far away! The limited edition StarSpeeder 3000 vehicle play set, which made its debut at D23, will soon be available for purchase at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Disney Parks announced on their official Instagram Stories that the limited edition StarSpeeder 3000 vehicle play set, which originally debuted at D23 and online at the Disney Store, will soon be available for purchase at Tatooine Traders in Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting Friday, September 13.
Park reservations will be required to visit the park, and there will be a purchase limit of two StarSpeeders per person. Although the price has not been officially released, it’s likely that the play set will cost the same as its online counterpart, which was $300. Keep in mind that this is a limited edition of 3,000, so don’t miss your chance to own one!
The StarSpeeder 3000 play set is packed with features! It includes a detailed vehicle, an RX-24 figure, and an R2-D2 figure. The to-scale seats inside even have seat belts, and the doors open with a satisfying chime sound when you press the buttons. Plus, there are cannons and thrusters with realistic sound effects to enhance the play experience.
The play set also comes with a reversible light-up stand for display. Inside the vehicle, an LCD screen features authentic content from the Star Tours attraction, activated by buttons. You can remove the side panels, rooftop carrier, and roof panel for more detailed play. The landing gear extends and retracts, locks securely, and there are also exterior light effects to add to the realism.

Caleb Graves, a 33-year-old runner and social media vlogger, tragically passed away after finishing the 2024 Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon. Despite receiving prompt medical attention from Anaheim Fire & Rescue teams, Graves succumbed to his injuries near the Anaheim resort.
“The runner crossed the finish line. As soon as he did, one of the workers at the marathon noticed the gentleman was clutching his chest,” Sutter told EW. “They noticed he was going into cardiac arrest.”
Graves was rushed to Anaheim Global Medical Center, where he was sadly pronounced dead approximately an hour later.
Disneyland Resort spokesperson Jessica Good released a statement expressing condolences to Caleb Graves’ family.
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss, and our hearts are with Caleb’s family and loved ones during this difficult time,” said Good.
In a TikTok video posted the day before his death, Graves shared his concerns about heat exhaustion after fainting while walking his dog. The marathon was held under scorching temperatures, exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit on multiple days. While authorities are investigating the cause of death, heat is a possible factor.
Graves was a litigation associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, a law firm specializing in technology law. He was also a beloved member of the Disney vlogging community, with nearly 18,000 followers on TikTok. His death has sent shockwaves through the community, and many are mourning the loss of this talented and passionate individual.
