The letters are a delightful blue adorned with pink flowers and green leaves, creating a cheerful and inviting scene. Although Disney PhotoPass photographers might not be available, Disney Cast Members can help snap your perfect shot using your own phone or camera. It’s a wonderful way to capture the joy of the day in a location that’s easily accessible yet wonderfully themed.
Additionally, the photo op includes a variety of fun, themed signs that guests can hold while posing. These signs feature witty and heartwarming phrases like “Mom’s Favorite,” “Moms are incredible,” and “#MomLife,” each designed with colors and styles that match the “Mom!” sign. From celebrating new moms with “First Mother’s Day!” to sharing exciting news with “We’re expecting!” each sign adds a personal touch to your photos.
Although during our visit we noted that Cast Members were not handing out the special seed-embedded postcards as advertised, the photo spot itself remains a must-visit for families looking to celebrate Mother’s Day in a uniquely Disney way.

Two restaurants, in particular, have introduced standout dishes that blend creativity with flavor: Coral Reef Restaurant and Le Cellier Steakhouse.
At the Coral Reef Restaurant, the ambiance of being under the sea complements a refreshed menu that celebrates oceanic delights. New additions include Coconut Fried Shrimp served with a tangy mango chutney and Grilled Chicken Wings coated in a Jamaican-spiced rum glaze. For those seeking a hearty meal, the Seafood Boil is a treasure trove of flavors with shrimp, mussels, clams, andouille sausage, sweet corn, and potatoes.

Disney’s EPCOT has introduced new lighting effects at ImageWorks, the interactive play area at the exit of the Journey Into Imagination With Figment ride. “Tron: Ares” is being helmed by director Joachim Rønning (“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil”). The script comes from the pens of Jesse Wigutow and Jack Thorne, while a team including Sean Bailey, Jeffrey Silver, Justin Springer, Leto, and others serve as producers.
Filming kicked off in Vancouver back in January, with a first look at Leto’s character already unveiled on Disney’s Instagram.

Disneyland Park adds a touch of jazz with a new statue of Louis the alligator! The trumpet-playing friend of Princess Tiana now greets diners outside Tiana’s Palace, the re-imagined version of the former French Market Restaurant.
Perched on the brick wall by Tiana’s Palace outdoor seating, a charming statue depicts Louis the alligator in mid-song. This trumpeting gator, colored a warm bronze but crafted from plastic, captures the spirit of Tiana’s friend, adding a musical touch to New Orleans Square. A water lily is in each corner of the statue’s tiered base.
Lending his smooth voice to Louis the alligator in both “The Princess and the Frog” and the upcoming Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom is actor Michael-Leon Wooley. He’s one of several returning stars who will bring the bayou to life through their vocal talents!

Michelin Chef Debuts New Mexican Restaurants at Downtown Disney
Three new Mexican restaurants are opening at Downtown Disney in the Disneyland Resort! All three are from Michelin Chef Carlos Gaytán and Patina Restaurant Group. Paseo, Céntrico and Tiendita will offer authentic, yet refined Mexican cuisine.
As the first Mexican-born chef to earn a coveted Michelin star, Gaytán is a widely recognized ambassador of Mexican cuisine and has been prominently featured in numerous food, travel, lifestyle and broadcast outlets worldwide, including BRAVO’s “Top Chef” in 2013. His culinary journey began in Chicago, where he rose through the ranks at the North Shore Hotel, followed by Bistro Margot, working as chef de cuisine underneath the esteemed chef Dominique Tougne.
Eventually, he navigated his own path to owning his own restaurant, Mexique where he seamlessly unified his Mexican heritage with his love of French culinary cuisine. In addition to these new concepts in California, Gaytán’s current concept portfolio includes Ha’ at Hotel Xcaret México in Playa del Carmen and Tzuco in Chicago, where he is chef-owner and was a semifinalist in the Best New Restaurant category by the James Beard Foundation Awards in 2020.
“My mother instilled in me a passion for cooking, which inspired me to move to America to hone my craft. Throughout my career, I have been merging the traditional French cooking techniques I’ve learned with the traditions and recipes of childhood favorites inspired by my family,” Gaytán said. “Getting the chance to combine my love for my home country, my family, and cooking and display that to the guests of Paseo, Céntrico and Tiendita is truly an honor. I’m extremely proud to debut these restaurants, which were heavily influenced by my heritage and family, and hope those visiting the Downtown Disney District will create their own memories here, anchored by good food and good company.”

At Paseo, guests are welcomed with a contemporary and show-stopping dining room and bar area filled with rich woods, custom leathers, lavish greenery and custom native accents that celebrate Mexico’s culture. Gaytán’s vision and connection to his heritage come to life at Paseo, offering an elevated dining experience that puts a spotlight on lesser-known Mexican delicacies with an elegant presentation.
The robust menu features reimagined and modern versions of Gaytán’s childhood favorites and includes the vibrant flavors of chiles, aromatic spices and homemade tortillas he grew up enjoying. Standouts include rich and vibrant cochinita pibil – a pork recipe derived directly from his mother’s recipe – and pulpo enamorado, which features roasted octopus and is finished with a creamy tuna aioli. Showcasing Gaytán’s unique culinary training, the mejillones is another key dish on the menu – combining French techniques and infusing Mexican flair into the classic mussels dish with the addition of saffron, chorizo and pickled jalapeños. Paseo transports diners to the heart of Gaytán’s hometown with the intent to create lasting memories through the food he serves.
Céntrico is a new social hub of the Downtown Disney District. Céntrico’s open, airy spaces – designed with custom wooden elements and lush greenery throughout – capture the spirit of a Mexican hacienda. The energetic and central gathering place offers an exciting menu of Mexican staples like chicken enchiladas and modern twists like a vibrant Caesar salad layered with a hint of Mexican flair.
The expansive bar features a robust cocktail menu full of unique libations including the Ritual Margarita with Espolon tequila, ginger liqueur, guava, and lime juice and the El Mariachi in Manhattan, which is a Mexican twist on the traditional Manhattan cocktail. This outdoor space invites groups to gather around the table and try a range of menu items, encouraging guests to enjoy the present moment with Céntrico as their backdrop.
Completing the trifecta, Tiendita is a quick-service dining option for those on-the-go, while still maintaining the high-quality Mexican cuisine offered in its sister restaurants. The menu features beloved classics such as esquites, a Mexican street-food staple that transcends borders, and tacos al pastor, which includes marinated pork roasted to perfection. Prepared in a bright, glass space, guests can watch the expert culinary team at work. Guests have the option to order from self-service kiosks or a friendly counter service.
The strong Mexican influence is not only displayed throughout the cuisine, but also through the distinct design elements of Paseo and Céntrico from award-winning Mexican architect Jorge Gracia, founder of Tijuana-based GraciaStudio.
The restaurants’ furnishings hail from La Metropolitana, a Mexico City-based design and carpentry company that produces traditional pieces paired with cutting edge technology and are hand finished by master carpenters. Additionally, Anfora, a celebrated dinnerware company which is deeply embedded in Mexican culture and craftsmanship, has created a bespoke dinnerware collection that truly reflects the unique spirit and dining ethos for Paseo and Céntrico.
Walk-in service is available now for all three restaurants with reservations starting on June 1 for Paseo and Céntrico. Paseo is currently open for dinner, with weekday lunch and weekend brunch service coming soon. Céntrico is currently serving lunch and dinner.

The Return of “Fantasmic!”
“Fantasmic!,” Disney’s longest-running nighttime spectacular, is returning to Rivers of America in Disneyland park beginning May 24, 2024. “Fantasmic!” will return with refreshed moments in the iconic show that features live performances and special effects to take guests on a journey through Mickey Mouse’s imagination, filled with fantastic events and images as seen in some of our most beloved Walt Disney Animation Studios classic films such as “Sleeping Beauty,” “Aladdin” and “Tangled.”
The popular production will introduce a new climactic battle sequence between Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent, brought to life with updated special effects, plus the return of the thrilling shipboard confrontation between Peter Pan and Captain Hook from “Peter Pan.”
When the show returns, guests can enjoy this spectacular alongside the Rivers of America with standby viewing. Guests may begin queuing no earlier than two hours before showtime.
Pixar Fest is in Full Swing!
Pixar Fest, a celebration of friendship and beyond featuring beloved characters and stories from Pixar Animation Studios, is going on now through Aug. 4, 2024. Heartwarming entertainment includes the new daytime parade, “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” which just debuted at Disney California Adventure park, and at Disneyland park, the emotional “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” also returned with some all-new scenes. During the festival, keep a lookout for new characters such as Ember and Wade from “Elemental,” Luca and Alberto from “Luca” and more!
At the Pixar Pals Playtime Party, Fantasyland Theatre at Disneyland park is transformed into a daytime fun zone for the entire family. Then, each evening over at Disney California Adventure park, Club Pixar comes alive with an energetic DJ-led experience for all ages in the Hollywood Backlot.
Plus, beginning May 10, six Pixar-themed food and beverage marketplaces will open at Disney California Adventure park to make your day even more delicious! Themed to “Luca,” “Ratatouille,” “Turning Red,” “Soul,” “Elemental” and “Inside Out,” these marketplaces will run throughout the remainder of the festival.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, fun for all ages, will return for a spellbinding season beginning Aug. 23, transforming the resort with autumn décor and characters dressed in hauntingly haute Halloween outfits, plus pumpkins along Main Street, U.S.A., in Disneyland park and cars in their “carstumes” at “Radiator Screams” in Disney California Adventure park.
Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure park celebrates the everlasting bonds of family, Mexican traditions and the spirit of Día de los Muertos with décor and entertainment. Among the activities to enjoy are “A Musical Celebration of Coco,” an entertaining street show inspired by Pixar’s “Coco.”

Disney’s BoardWalk Resort is gearing up for the arrival of Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, as evident from the vibrant new signage that has recently adorned the kiosk. Although the kiosk remains behind planters, the installation of signs around the kiosk hint toward the stand being close to its grand opening.
Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, already a favorite at the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort, will offer many of the same beloved menu items at Disney’s BoardWalk. The signage is eye catching, and includes both the kiosk name as well as signage advertising Cotton Candy Lemonade, and (of course) Corn Dogs.
With anticipation building since its initial announcement last July, the new Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs kiosk is set to enhance the BoardWalk’s food scene when it opens in the coming weeks. Keep an eye out for the official opening and prepare to enjoy some of the tastiest corn dogs right by the water, adding a touch of carnival fun to the elegant BoardWalk atmosphere.
Next time you visit EPCOT, don’t miss the updated rainforest scene in the Living with the Land attraction. Situated in the World Nature area, this beloved ride now features new, blue-toned lighting that transforms the opening scene into a brighter and more vibrant spectacle.
As you glide past the initial thunderstorm, you’ll notice the rainforest basking in a blue hue that not only enhances the scene’s aesthetic but also improves visibility. This change lets you appreciate the intricate details of the rainforest environment with greater clarity.
The updates coincide with the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Along the ride, enjoy subtle nods to classic Disney films like “The Little Mermaid” and “Alice in Wonderland,” adding a whimsical layer to the educational journey.
