The documentary, which premiered at the festival, offers an intimate look into John’s life and career, spanning five decades. As the final credits rolled, the audience was treated to an unexpected treat: John took to the stage to perform his iconic song, “Tiny Dancer.” The surprise performance sent the crowd into a frenzy, with many fans capturing the moment on their phones.

Elton John: Never Too Late is directed by R.J. Cutler and David Furnish, John’s husband. The film features never-before-seen footage, including handwritten diaries, audio tapes, and a look into John’s early years. A “general construction” permit has been filed with Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, signaling the start of work at the Sunset Showcase theater on Sunset Boulevard, near Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. While the permit doesn’t detail exactly what work is being performed, the selected contractor has previously partnered with Disney on major projects like the Tomorrowland Launch Depot and the World Celebration Gardens.

If you’re looking for something with a coffee kick, try the Zombie Jamboree, featuring Casamigos Blanco, Licor 43, Amaro di Angostura, fresh espresso, and real vanilla for $19.

The 5th Annual Trunk or Treat Car Show will take place on October 26th from 4 – 8 p.m. This free event allows kids to trick-or-treat at over two dozen candy locations while viewing a variety of classic and contemporary cars, all competing for the best Halloween-themed ride. Expect live music, street performers, and plenty of spooky fun!

For those looking to get competitive, the Promenade at Sunset Walk Halloween Costume Contest on October 31st will award thousands in cash prizes to the best-dressed guests. The contest runs from 6 – 10 p.m. and is open to participants 18 and older. There will be live music, entertainment, and 30 dining, shopping, and entertainment venues to explore.

From October 18th to 30th, the Halloween Pumpkin Patch at Promenade at Sunset Walk will offer a selection of pumpkins perfect for your Halloween decorating needs. In a recent interview with Variety, Rachel Zegler, who plays Snow White, revealed that the film will deviate from the traditional narrative. Instead of her name being solely derived from her physical appearance, the new backstory connects it to her resilience and strength.

Zegler explained, “It fell back to another version of ‘Snow White’ that was told in history, where she survived a snowstorm that occurred when she was a baby.
