Man arrested for selling fake Disneyland Tickets
Police released two photos of Vaughn Hutchins.
A man accused of selling fake Disneyland passes on Craigslist is being held in jail as police search for more victims.
Vaughn Michael Hutchins, 24, was arrested last Wednesday as he was selling phony Disneyland Park Hopper tickets at the Santa Ana Train Depot, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
The man would meet up with buyers, who would then find out the tickets were invalid when they went to Disney theme parks.
UPDATE: Detective Michael Gibbons of the Santa Ana Police Department said he knows of four victims.
Gibbons said Hutchins allegedly would sell printed-out, extra copies of tickets purchased on the Internet, which are only supposed to be printed once. But buyers would find out that the tickets had already been used and were invalid.
Gibbons said Hutchins would tell victims that his son was sick and he needed to sell the tickets to get back some of his losses. But the most recent victim became suspicious when Hutchins apparently called him a second time to say that he had more tickets. The victim arranged to meet Hutchins again and called police, who arrested Hutchins at the train depot after selling the tickets, Gibbons said.
Gibbons said he found additional victims by calling people listed in Hutchins phone. Another one called Gibbons today.
Hutchins is being held at the Theo Lacy Jail in Orange on $30,000 bail, according to the Orange County Sheriffs Department Web site. His next court appearance is set for Friday.
Disneyland spokeswoman Suzi Brown released this statement: We take matters of this nature very seriously and are working closely with law enforcement regarding this situation.
Police are looking for others who may have purchased tickets from Hutchins. They are asked to contact Gibbons at 714-245-8439.
I know times are tough but please if you are not going to buy tickets from Disney PLEASE use an Authorized Ticket Agent!
Disney stops serving all-beef hot dogs

In a famous 1980’s advertising campaign for the fast food chain Wendy’s, the late character actress Clara Peller uttered this startling question about a competing chain’s burgers: “Where’s the beef?”
If you’re visiting Walt Disney World and taste their hot dogs, you’ll soon find yourself asking that same question.
Disney World is no longer offering all-beef hot dogs in its parks, opting for a beef-and-chicken mix instead. This decision, immediately placed into effect this week, was first reported by former Orlando Sentinel food critic Scott Joseph on his blog.

**Update** Tire monitor causes Disney bus shutdown
Officials with Florida’s Walt Disney World said a suspicious device reported on a bus turned out to be an old prototype tire-pressure monitor.
Disney spokeswoman Andrea Finger said Monday a maintenance crew unfamiliar with the device, which was installed on a single bus in 1998, found the object on the bus Thursday and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office send a bomb squad to investigate, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported Tuesday.
Finger said thousands of theme park visitors were stranded for hours last Thursday as officials inspected the entire fleet of 300 buses “out of an abundance of caution.”
However, bus service resumed once the object was identified as a prototype tire-pressure monitor utilizing wireless technology.

Johnny Depp may quit Pirates after Disney studio chief resigns
Johnny Depp may walk away from a fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean after Disney ousted the veteran studio chief who first backed his vision for the role of Captain Jack Sparrow, Los Angeles Times reported.
Studio chief Dick Cook left the company on Friday following a string of disappointing box office results and the studio’s failure to consistently create popular films for the crucial teenage audience. Disney recently paid $4 billion to buy Marvel Entertainment and gain control of its stable of superheroes such as Spider-Man, Iron Man and the X-Men.
Depp said he was “shocked and very sad” about the ouster of Cook, who started at Disney 38 years ago as a tour bus operator. He told the Los Angeles Times that he only agreed to participate in the Pirates of the Caribbean because of Cook. The three movies in the series have already grossed some $2.8 billion worldwide and Disney announced a fourth installment last week to be called on Stranger Tides.
But given Depp’s iconic role in the series, his departure could spell a death knell for the money-spinning franchise.
“There’s a fissure, a crack in my enthusiasm at the moment,” Depp said. “He’s instantly trustworthy. And you generally don’t meet people at the studios you trust. I consider Dick a friend in an insane system.”

Adventures by Disney cuts itineraries & destinations
The Walt Disney Co. is scaling back its Adventures by Disney business, dropping many itineraries and destinations from its 2010 schedule. Disney executives acknowledge that the economic downturn has put pressure on the guided-tour business, as well as others. “When you think about the economy, it’s hard not to think of any business, in any industry sector, that hasn’t been impacted,” said Karl Holz, president of New Vacation Operations, which includes Adventures by Disney.
Disney/Marvel Facing Copyright Lawsuit

It appears that Walt Disney’s $4 billion purchase of Marvel Entertainment might come with more than it’s fair share of headaches, 45 in fact.
The heirs of Jack Kirby, forward thinking comic book artist and co-creator of many Marvel tentpole properties including X-Men, Fantastic Four have sent 45 notices of copyright termination to Marvel and Disney, as well as Marvel distributors and studios Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Universal Pictures, and other companies that have been using the characters.
The notices served have indicated Kirby’s families’ intentions to regain copyrights over the late artist’s creations by as early as 2014, according to the law firm behind the recent “Superman†rights battle – Toberoff & Associates.
