Disney Relaxes Dress Code for Central Florida Cast Members.

Pixar’s John Lasseter, lover of Hawaiian shirts, on the right side of Disney’s dress code.

The Daily Disneyis reporting that Disney is relaxing the dress code for some employees. Professional, non-costumed female staff will now be allowed to wear open-toed shoes and modest sleeveless tops.  Men will be able to wear “Tommy Bahama” style untucked shirts.   But undoubtedly the most welcomed news is that the pantyhose requirement has been lifted for cast members who don’t require hose as part of their costume.    Notes the Daily Disney’s Jason Garcia,

Female employees say the dropping of the pantyhose requirement is the most substantial change Disney has made to its appearance policies since 2000, when it finally scrapped a longstanding ban on mustaches. Disney tweaked its guidelines again a few years later by deciding to permit male employees to style their hair in cornrows.

Top Eats – What’s your favorite Casual Dining Spot in Epcot?

Top Eats - What's your favorite Casual Dining Spot in Epcot?

Epcot in my opinion has the best Dining in all of Walt Disney World, with vast choices I find myself trying to eat my way around the World Showcase on every visit. Casual Dining in Epcot is where it’s at! Don’t get me wrong there are some good Quick Service Options but Casual has some of the best Dining options available.

I had a hard time narrowing it down to a Top 5 List..I mean a really hard time with choices like, Akershus, The Garden Grill Restaurant, and Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room. I literally had to force myself to pick 5.

Here we go…

5. Biergarten Restaurant – Who doesn’t love to celebrate Oktoberfest? The authentic German food here is delicious. We try to always make it here atleast one time every trip.

4. Nine Dragons Restaurant – Great Chinese Food, great atmosphere but the only downfall to this restaurant to me is how busy it is.. Evertime we have been here the food was really good but the restaurant was full. I guess that isn’t a bad thing the more I think about it.

3. Le Cellier Steakhouse – My absolute favorite place to have a steak at Disney. From the fresh baked bread, to the Cheddar Cheese Soup this romantic stop in the Canadian Pavilion is a must for any Disney Foodie.

2. San Angel Inn – I might be alienating myself here from the rest of the pack as putting San Angel Inn this high on the list. I love this restaurant! From the first time I stepped foot into the Mexican Pavilion I was in love. I love the dark romantic atmosphere of this restaurant. The food is authentic mexican and much different than most people are accustomed to. For Lunch or Dinner you need to eat here!

1 .Coral Reef Restaurant – Talk about a room with a view. Who wouldn’t want to have a meal with an underwater view of The Living Sea coral reef? Some of the best seafood in all of Disneyworld you will want to make sure you have your Advanced Dining Reservation in as soon as possible.

I hope you enjoyed my Top 5 Casual Dining Restaurants from Epcot. What are yours? Let us know in the comment section below.

St. Petersburg boy 'soley responsible' for fatal Disney accident

A St. Petersburg boy who died after colliding with a Walt Disney World bus last April was “solely responsbile” for the crash, according to a final Florida Highway report released today.

Investigators concluded 9-year-old Chase Brubaker’s bicycle had a flat rear tire and an underinflated front tire, both of which could have contributed to the April 1 crash.

Brubaker was biking in the same direction of the bus as he road along a path near the Fort Wildness Resort.  Investigators said he drove into the southbound lane, striking the side of the bus. After the initial collison, he fell off his bike and was run over by the bus’s rear right tire.

FHP says bus driver David Rich was not at fault, and no charges will be filed.

Brubaker was riding with an 11-year-old girl at the time. She was not injured. Both were wearing helmets.

FHP says its investigation is complete.

In addition to Tisdale, the movie stars Austin Butler (“Life Unexpected” and “Ruby and the Rockits”) as confident film student Peyton Leverett and Bradley Steven Perry (“Good Luck Charlie”) as a precocious young dog owner and Sharpay’s nemesis, Roger Elliston the 3rd

Rounding out the cast is Cameron Goodman (“Phineas and Ferb”) as a Broadway star with Sharpay on her radar, Alec Mapa (“Ugly Betty”) as Broadway show director Gill Samms, and Jack Plotnick (“The Mentalist”) as the upbeat and enthusiastic scribe, Neal Roberts.

“Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure” will feature four original songs by songwriters Randy Petersen and Kevin Quinn (“I’m Gonna Shine”), Matthew Tishler and Amy Powers (“My Boy and Me” and “The Rest of My Life”), David Lawrence and Faye Greenberg (“New York’s Best Kept Secret”).

In the movie, a New York casting director spots aspiring thespian Sharpay Evans performing with her dog, Boi, at a charity gala and offers to arrange an audition for a new Broadway musical. Sharpay packs her bags with Boi in tow and heads to the Big Apple to fulfill her destiny on Broadway. Her father has given her one month to make it to center stage, or else she will have to return home and learn the family business. However Sharpay’s dreams are turned upside down when she discovers the Broadway role is really for Boi, not her. Pushing her disappointment aside, Sharpay sets out to make Boi the most fabulous canine to hit the Great White Way.

The Emmy Award-winning “High School Musical” has reached more than 290 million viewers, in 24 languages. Its soundtrack was the #1 album of 2006 and the DVD was the year’s #1 TV movie on DVD.
