The newly released concept art provides a fresh view of the upcoming tavern. Unlike the previous image, which showcased the bar, this one focuses on the inviting seating area.
The new design, featuring rounded seating in smaller, more intimate arrangements, is a stark contrast to the original concept of a long line of wooden tables and chairs.
The lounge, taking over the space previously used for the Pirate’s League, will be a haven for future pirates. Here, young buccaneers from all seven seas can come together to raise a toast to a life of adventure.
This new Pirates of the Caribbean themed tavern will open in Magic Kingdom next year.

Guests with valid Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 PM, though the party officially kicks off at 7:00 PM and runs until midnight. Upon entering, guests will receive a wristband, this year featuring a fabric ribbon design with the event logo and a slider for adjusting the fit. Each party night utilizes a different colored wristband to prevent unauthorized entry with old bands.
Navigating the Festivities
The official party map, available at stands near the Magic Kingdom entrance and throughout the park, guides guests through the various offerings. The map highlights event stages, the parade route, trick-or-treat trails, character meet-and-greets, holiday treat locations, and merchandise shops.
Special overlays for attractions like Jingle Cruise and Space Mountain Holiday Run are also indicated, along with designated spots for complimentary cookies and beverages. A new addition this year is Santa’s Christmas Carnival in Storybook Circus, marked with a Santa hat icon.
Commemorative Ornament
As a keepsake for the event, guests will receive a complimentary ornament featuring a gingerbread house design with candy canes, icing, and a Mickey-shaped peppermint. A “2024” charm hangs from the top, adding a commemorative touch.
Guests with daytime tickets entering before 4:00 PM can collect their ornament later at a designated location. Those entering after 4:00 PM with a party wristband will be directed through the Main Street bypass for expedited entry and ornament distribution.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event taking place on select nights from November 8th to December 20th, 2024.
The holidays are back in full swing at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, where this year’s gingerbread display has a nostalgic twist: a breathtaking replica of Cinderella Castle adorned with the beloved Dream Lights that once lit up the Magic Kingdom. Celebrating its 13th year of gingerbread displays, the Contemporary’s 17-foot-tall, 25-foot-wide masterpiece sits against a serene blue and white backdrop, creating the illusion of a sparkling night sky under a full moon.
The display is a marvel, crafted from 613 pounds of sugar, 1013 pounds of flour, 113 pounds of gingerbread spice, 51 pounds of chocolate, and more than 4,000 gingerbread bricks.
Hidden within this delicious landscape are 13 hidden Mickeys and a whimsical nod to Disney lore—a hidden 5-legged goat for sharp-eyed fans to spot.
Guests can indulge in the holiday spirit with themed treats from the snack kiosk beside the display. Offerings include a Linzer Cookie with raspberry filling ($6.49), a rich Caramel Apple Cake with gingerbread streusel ($6.99), and a Chocolate Hazelnut Log with hazelnut-praline crunch and festive holiday decor ($7.79).
For a fruity twist, the Pistachio Cranberry and Cherry Cake layers pistachio cake with white chocolate crunch and a cranberry-cherry crémeux ($7.79). A Santa Peppermint Hot Chocolate Tart offers a peppermint-chocolate delight, while classic favorites like the Plain Gingerbread Mickey Cookie ($7.99) and Gingerbread Cookie with the Contemporary Resort’s signature touch ($6.79) are also available.
Beverages bring a cozy winter vibe, with choices like the Winter Berry Freeze—a sparkling mix of cranberry and Minute Maid passion fruit orange guava juice with ginger ale and edible glitter ($6.29 non-alcoholic, $13.50 with rum)—and the Frozen Hot Cocoa, which can be enjoyed as-is ($6.29) or with a spirited twist, featuring Baileys, Peppermint Schnapps, or Amaretto.
Guests can head to the 4th floor of the Contemporary everyday from 11 am through noon to get some of their Gingerbread Merchandise signed by one of the chefs involved in creating this culinary masterpiece! This is a great way to add an extra touch of Disney magic to your visit and discover first hand exactly how the Gingerbread Castle came together!
Universal Studios Japan has launched an exciting new way for guests to bring a bit of their theme park experience home. Starting November 6, visitors can now shop for park-exclusive merchandise online on the very day of their visit, with the added convenience of having their items shipped directly to their doorstep. This new service expands Universal Studios Japan’s current online store, which has offered select merchandise previously, but now brings nearly all in-park items into reach for online purchase.
Here’s how it works: once inside Universal Studios Japan, guests can register their visit online, unlocking exclusive access to the park’s merchandise offerings in the online store. Spot something you love while exploring the Wizarding World of Harry Potter or Super Nintendo World? Simply scan the item’s barcode to pull it up online. Guests have the flexibility to add items to their cart throughout their visit, allowing them to make purchase decisions as they go—or even after they leave the park, as long as they complete their order by 11:45 p.m. on the same day.
This new feature offers a solution for guests wanting to avoid carrying large or delicate items around the park. It’s also perfect for those who want to browse and reflect on purchases throughout their day. By the time guests are ready to check out, they can rest assured that their carefully chosen items will be on their way to their home address, creating an extended, personalized park experience.
As Disney fans eagerly await the debut of the new Disney Treasure cruise ship this December, those along the ship’s transatlantic route were treated to a special surprise: a series of distinctive horn tests echoing across the ocean. In true Disney fashion, the Treasure’s horn will feature a symphony of familiar melodies, blending beloved Disney songs with the maritime tradition of using audio signals for communication. For passengers on future Disney Cruise Line voyages, these unique horn arrangements promise to add an extra layer of enchantment, setting the stage for the adventures that await onboard.
The Disney Treasure’s horn repertoire is a carefully curated selection of seven Disney melodies, each chosen to reflect the spirit of adventure that infuses the ship’s theme. The arrangements include fan favorites like “Grim Grinning Ghosts,” a fitting choice that nods to the Haunted Mansion Parlor experience. Another beloved tune set to join the lineup is “Remember Me” from Pixar’s Coco, celebrating Plaza de Coco, a theater-inspired dining experience that promises guests a colorful and lively evening. And for those dreaming of fairytale magic, the ship will sound “A Whole New World” from Disney’s Aladdin, a fitting tribute to the Grand Hall’s rich decor, inspired by the wonders of Agrabah.
In keeping with the holiday spirit, the Disney Treasure team has also crafted a festive horn composition that will debut during the ship’s inaugural holiday season. While a few of the remaining horn melodies are being kept under wraps, they’re sure to add to the excitement and sense of discovery on this remarkable journey. Whether on the open seas or pulling into port, the Disney Treasure’s musical horn will be an unforgettable touch that brings Disney stories to life in a fresh, adventurous way. So, what other iconic Disney tunes might be on board? Fans will just have to wait to see (or hear) when the Disney Treasure embarks on its maiden voyage this December!
