Voice Cast Celebrates Bayou Adventure
Anika Noni Rose, Jenifer Lewis, and Michael-Leon Wooley, the voices behind Princess Tiana, Mama Odie, and Louis the alligator in Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog,” were among the first to embark on this musical journey through the bayou. They even joined Princess Tiana and Louis for a celebratory dance to the tunes of the Jambalaya Jazz Band in New Orleans Square.
Adding to the festivities, Anika Noni Rose and Jenifer Lewis teamed up with composer and singer-songwriter PJ Morton for a special performance aboard the Mark Twain Riverboat during the attraction’s official dedication.

‘Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season’ Debuts at California Adventure for Festival of Holidays
A new show has debuted at Disney California Adventure for the holidays! ‘Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season’ takes place multiple times throughout the day at Paradise Gardens Park.
Mirabel from Walt Disney Animation Studios Encantoand her friends rejoice in the spirit of the holidays as they bring everyone together for their very own Fiesta de Navidad celebration.
Guests of all ages will enjoy a heartfelt musical performance with beloved songs from the popular film!
This new show is performed 5 times per day and only on weekdays. You can find the showtimes on the Disneyland website.
From the moment you enter the park you’ll be surrounded by festive holiday decor and magic! Above the park entrance sign is the logo for the Festival of Holidays taking place in Disney California Adventure.
Buena Vista Street greets guests with garland-lined roof tops and lamp posts, wreaths adorn the buildings, and the street ends at a 50-foot tall Christmas tree.
Carthay Circle also features a large Christmas wreath with a red bow.
The sign for Hollywood Studios has been decorated as well as the street leading to the area.
The tower near the entrance to San Fransokyo Square and Pixar Pier has received a holiday update featuring lights and garland. In the garden bed below, you’ll see adorable toy soldiers and drums. The bridge to San Fransokyo Square is also adorned with garland and wreaths.
Grizzly Peak is celebrating the holidays too! The large bear outside of Grizzly River Run is wearing his holiday sweater and guests can visit with jolly Saint Nick at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that comedian, writer, and television host Conan O’Brien will host the 97th Oscars. The ceremony will air live on ABC on Sunday, March 2, 2025.
“We are thrilled and honored to have the incomparable Conan O’Brien host the Oscars this year,” said Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang. “He is the perfect person to help lead our global celebration of film with his brilliant humor, his love of movies, and his live TV expertise.”
O’Brien, known for his witty humor and unique comedic style, is no stranger to the entertainment industry. He has hosted late-night talk shows, written for Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons, and recently starred in the travel show Conan O’Brien Must Go.

Merry Menagerie Brings Winter Wonderland to Disney’s Animal Kingdom
The enchanting Merry Menagerie has returned to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, bringing a touch of winter magic to the park’s holiday celebrations. This unique entertainment offering, first introduced in 2019, features skilled puppeteers accompanied by artisan-crafted puppets of arctic animals.
Guests can encounter these delightful creatures as they roam Discovery Island between Island Mercantile and Riverside Depot. The puppets, adorned in shades of white, blue, purple, and gold, include arctic foxes, reindeer, penguins, polar bears, and seals. Some of the larger animals require multiple puppeteers to operate, adding to the spectacle.
The Merry Menagerie performances occur periodically between 9:45 AM and 5:00 PM. With two rotating sets of animals, each encounter offers a unique and surprising experience for guests.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, live musicians accompany the puppets, playing holiday tunes as they wander through the area. Both the musicians and puppeteers are dressed in white outfits that complement the puppets’ wintery aesthetic.
