Take Two With Phineas And Ferb Premiering Friday, December 3 On Disney Channel

Take Two With Phineas And Ferb Premiering Friday, December 3 On Disney Channel

In the footsteps of the talk show greats, genial stepbrothers Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher will host their own animated/live action talk show, originating from a Danville set complete with a fake skyline, comfy guest chairs and the boys’ longtime friend, Isabella Shapiro-Garcia, as the stage manager. The mash-up show has already booked real life “A list” celebrity guests, a list that will rival morning, afternoon and late night talk show rosters. Movie star Jack Black (“Gulliver’s Travels”) is the inaugural guest on the wonderfully playful “Take Two with Phineas and Ferb,” premiering FRIDAY, DECEMBER 3 (between 9:00-9:15 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. It will also air on Disney XD.

The two-minute interview segments will encourage guests to mix it up, do the unexpected, disclose their fondest hopes and deepest thoughts and debate the implications of myriad subjects from super powers to juggling. Some segments will include musical performances. Advanced technology is a vital component of the “Take Two with Phineas and Ferb” production, allowing others, including Dr. Doofenshmirtz, the opportunity to interact with the guests.

In addition to Black, the booked guests on “Take Two with Phineas and Ferb” are: actor/comedian Andy Samberg (“Saturday Night Live”), actor Seth Rogen (“Green Hornet”), legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk, Grammy-winning recording artist Taylor Swift, the dean of talk shows, Regis Philbin (“Live with Regis and Kelly“), star of stage and screen Neil Patrick Harris, actress Emma Roberts (“Scream 4”), Grammy-winning producer Randy Jackson (“American Idol”) and talented comedian Cedric the Entertainer.

The Emmy Award-winning hit series “Phineas and Ferb” has ranked as TV’s #1 animated series among Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 for two consecutive years. It is TV’s #1 animated series in fiscal 2010 among Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14, delivering 3.3 million Total Viewers on average.

“Phineas and Ferb” airs on Disney XD and Disney Channels in 158 countries and in 32 languages around the world. In the U.S., five new music videos and the cleverly comedic “Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation” holiday special will be presented on Disney XD, Disney Channel, ABC Family and the ABC Television Network this year.

The success of the series has created opportunities for other Disney divisions, including the recently released Phineas and Ferb: Holiday Favorites, an album that puts the popular characters’ unique and humorous twist on holiday tunes. The release marks the second album from “Phineas and Ferb.” Its soundtrack is a solid performer, having spent 28 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The album debuted at #1 and spent 50 consecutive weeks in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Children’s Top 100 chart. The soundtrack’s Spanish language version peaked at #4 on Spain’s Top 100 Album chart.

“Phineas and Ferb” has also inspired extensions via Disney Consumer Products (action figures, apparel and accessories), Disney Publishing (books, comics), Disney Interactive Studios (a fast-selling Nintendo DS game) and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.

Cupcake Store opens in Downtown Disney

Cupcake Store opens in Downtown Disney

This article comes to us from Sarah Tully at the OC Register.

The Cupcake Store is back selling treats in Downtown Disney. But it has yet to settle into a permanent spot.

The Mission Viejo-based business opened in a white kiosk near ESPN Zone on Oct. 16. But the store plans to move later this year into custom-built kiosk near Kitson Kids, said Betsy Sanchez, a Disneyland Resort spokeswoman.

The store temporarily sold cupcakes from the same location during the holiday season last year, but left when the short-term lease was up. See a previous story about the Cupcake Store during the holiday season.

Earlier this year, owners worked out a deal to return to Downtown Disney. See a story about the Cupcake Store’s new plans.

The Cupcake Store sells the sweets for $4.95 each, as well as some drinks.

The Magic of Dining in Walt Disney World

The Magic of Dining in Walt Disney World

Typically in Walt Disney World the park attractions are what most people focus on the most. It’s so easy to overlook all the wonderful dining locations while you are running from one thing to the next in the the most magical place on earth! Riding the Tower of Terror is exciting (its my most favorite ride in all of Walt Disney World!) but eventually all that running around catches up with you and we all need to stop once in a while to eat.

One of the wonderful things about all the dining options you have as a guest in Walt Disney World is that if a simple slice of pizza is what you crave, it’s readily available. But if you are desiring something a little more, there are meal options from pretty much every food category. Not only are there an abundance of quick-service locations, there are table-service and signature dining locations as well, and they are plentiful. Advanced Dining Reservations for table service dining is usually recommended although there are times when walk-ins are welcome as well. Not only can you get a wide variety of food service styles, there is a fabulous variety of meal options, from mac n’ cheese, to bratwurst in Epcot’s Germany Pavillion, or how about a South African dining experience in Animal Kingdom Lodge’s “Jiko”.

There are also dinner shows and character dining to add even more magic to your meals! Does enchanting music, authentic dances and a polynesian feast sound exciting? Try Disney’s Spirit Of Aloha Dinner Show in Disney’s Polynesian Resort. Or how about breakfast with Mickey and Friends? Try Chef Mickey’s, located in Disney’s Contemporary Resort!

Are your kids picky eaters? Disney has you covered. Most table service dining locations are happy to prepare something that may not be on the menu for your child, such as chicken nuggets or mac’n cheese. A helpful tip is to contact the dining location ahead of time and prepare them, but overall, Disney is happy to accomodate the pickiest eaters, as well as guests with special dietary needs.

Walt Disney World has dining options for every budget and taste. The options are endless! Furthermore, if you need information on dining plans offered with your Magic Your Way Vacation Package or need Advanced Dining Reservations, just ask your travel agent! Bon Appetite!

  • When it comes to wiring, Disney Imagineers working on the treehouse villas went to great “lengths” to ensure every vacation home runs smoothly.  Consequently, there are 87,858 lineal feet, or 16.6 miles, of wire for fiber optics, copper, telephones and CATV.
  • To support all 60 treehouse villas, there are a total of 480 concrete columns.
  • To reduce the footprint of each villa, the team used modular construction to create the stand-alone structures.

Sloane is a beautiful, intelligent and successful young power player working for the top PR agency in Hollywood. She represents one of their most prominent clients, starlet and notorious party girl Caitlin Quinn, and is also dating the hot heir to the agency, Andrew. Sloane thinks she has it all until one fateful evening when her star client meets her untimely death just as Sloane is in the midst of planning Caitlin’s Christmas Day movie premiere. Sloane’s challenge is to turn the premiere into a memorial and still have it be the event of the century. All the while her workplace nemesis – and former boyfriend – Jason, is lobbying for the promotion she deserves. Sloane is seen by her friends and family as a workaholic who has no time for the impending holidays, and a shadow of the girl they once loved. But Sloane’s fate may soon change when she’s visited by Caitlin’s ghost who begins to haunt her, claiming that she must atone for her past misdeeds. Under Caitlin’s counsel, Sloane then endures a series of nightly encounters with visions of her ex-boyfriends, all slighted by her in some way, including her first true love Patrick (Chad Michael Murray, “One Tree Hill”).
