It’s a Small World Closing for Lengthy Refurbishment in Disneyland
“It’s a Small World” at Disneyland will undergo two extended closures in the coming months. One for general maintenance and one for its holiday overlay.
The popular attraction will first close on September 16 to transform into its festive “it’s a small world” Holiday version, set to debut on November 15. In addition to adding holiday cheer throughout the ride, this closure will also allow for general maintenance.
Following the holiday season, “it’s a small world” Holiday will close on January 21, 2025. The attraction will then undergo an extended closure to accommodate general and ride system maintenance. Disneyland anticipates reopening “it’s a small world” in spring 2025, though a specific date has not yet been confirmed.

Disneyland Debuts ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ Headband Accessories
Disneyland Resort is adding new character options to its Create Your Own Headbands just in time for fall! Nightmare Before Christmas accessories will be available soon!
Beginning Aug. 23 and while supplies last, guests will be able to adorn their headbands with new Disney mini plush accessories featuring Jack Skellington, Sally and Zero from “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.” These new accessories add to the slate of character options that recently returned to Disneyland Resort.
These new characters will be available for purchase at The Mad Hatter on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park and Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff in Disney California Adventure Park. There is a limit of five (5) per item, per Guest.

Mickey Mouse and his friends are thrilled to announce New Found Glory’s “Part of Your World” as the next single and video from the highly anticipated album,A Whole New Sound! Additionally, they have unveiled the full track list for the collection, set for release on September 6, as well as the kick-off for vinyl pre-orders that are set to release on October 4.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is set to get even more thrilling with the announcement of a new Monsters, Inc. themed expansion, which will feature the first-ever suspended roller coaster at a Disney theme park. But while excitement builds for this new addition, Josh Gad, the beloved voice of Olaf from Frozen, has taken to social media to rally support for another iconic attraction that may be at risk: Muppet Vision 3D.
In a post on the Threads social media platform, Gad voiced his concern, declaring, “The Muppets must be protected at all costs.” His statement has resonated with fans, many of whom are worried that the new Monstropolis-themed land could replace the area currently occupied by Muppet Vision 3D. This attraction is not only a fan favorite but also holds significant historical value as the final performance by the legendary Jim Henson.
According to reports from The Wrap, Disney was on the verge of announcing the closure of Muppet Vision 3D to make way for the new Monsters, Inc. expansion, but that portion of the announcement was pulled at the last minute. To join in on the fun, simply purchase a game board and stickers from select merchandise locations, including Creations Shop, Port of Entry, and World Traveler. As you make your way around EPCOT, each time you discover a character pumpkin, place the corresponding sticker on your game board. The hunt is on, and the challenge is to see how many of these delightful pumpkins you can find!
But don’t worry—whether you find all the pumpkins or not, there’s a special treat waiting for you. Once you’ve completed your search, or even if you just want to enjoy the fun of the hunt, return your game board to Disney Traders or World Traveler for a spooky surprise. While this year’s prize hasn’t been revealed yet, last year’s participants were thrilled to receive a pumpkin-shaped sipper decorated in the style of popular Disney characters like Minnie Mouse and Stitch.
