Top 10 Things To Do at a Disney All-Nighter

upallnight

On May 24th, Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and Disneyland’s Magic Kingdom and California Adventure hosted their second 24 Hour All-Nighter! Last year, Disney decided to leave the park open for 24 hours in honor of Leap Day for “One More Disney Day” and it was so popular that Disney gave it another go, but this time in the form of Disney’s Monstrous Summer! This 24 hour experience was themed around Pixar’s newest film coming to theaters this summer, Monsters University! (Which, by the way, looks like it’s going to be awesome!)

Guests eager to spend 24 hours at the parks were treated to a special welcome ceremony, featuring Mike and Sulley from Monsters Inc, as well as Monsters themed special event merchandise, sweet treats and goodies, late night dance parties, special character experiences, and much more!

Now I know that this year’s all-nighter has come and gone, but I’m wishing on a star that Disney will decide to make this an annual event; and if they do, I’ve come up with some things to do that normally I couldn’t during a regular Disney day. So go on and read my Top 10 Things To Do at a Disney All-Nighter!

10. Make Your Own Special Event T-Shirt-Many people at Disneyland and Disney World made their own unique tees to commemorate this special event; and I think this sounds like a lot of fun! To get ready for your all-nighter, make your own tee and get some attention and maybe a few photos during the event.

9. Eat a Special Event Treat-Disney World and food go together like Mickey and Minnie; and for this special event, they pulled out all the stops! At both parks guests were able to enjoy a variety of Monstrous Summer treats that were not only cute, but delicious too!

Disney Infinity’s ‘Monsters University’ Pack Revealed

Disney Infinity Monsters U

We’re getting closer to the launch of Disney Infinity every day, and we’ve already seen some of the cool playsets such as ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, ‘Cars’, and ‘The Incredibles’, but now we’re finally getting our first look into ‘Disney Infinity: Monsters University’. This is actually probably my most anticipated release from the set, so I’m definitely excited to finally get a glimpse into the world and feel of what they’re going for with this one. Below we have a trailer for the world, as well as some pictures, and as you can see above, our first look at what Mike, Sulley, and Randal will look like as the figurines. Every new thing that Disney Interactive releases about this game, the more excited I am for it. It looks like it’s going to be so much fun, and I’m really looking forward to diving into the worlds that these characters live in like never before.

Are you excited for ‘Disney Infinity’? And how does this new ‘Monsters University’ expansion look to you? Let me know in the comments below, only here at Chip and Company, and check out the trailer for this new set, as well as some photos from it.

Disney Launches Disney Digital Music Store

disney music store logo

Disney has launched the Disney Digital Music Store. Contemporary hits and timeless classics are now available online with the launch of Disney’s digital music store. Disney Music Group has also created Disney music gift cards, available at Wal-Mart and other grocery retailers, to make it easier to give the gift of Disney music.

Disney music gift cards are similar to gift cards to other online retailers such as iTunes or Amazon. These Disney music gift cards make music shopping simple and make great gifts for special occasions. You can buy gift cards with values of $15, $25, and custom variable amounts, at stores who activate the cards after purchase. You can then go to the online store, enter your code, and shop for instant downloads from over 12,000 tracks. One thing that makes the Disney digital music store so unique is that no other music/entertainment brand offers such a vast array of top quality family-friendly musical entertainment that parents can trust and feel safe about their kids using.

The ship features fun new experiences with Marvel characters – the first time Super Hero icons from the Marvel Universe have been introduced on a Disney Cruise Line ship.

Following the “re-imagining” transformation of the ship that takes place during dry dock Sept. 7-Oct. 10 in Cadiz, Spain, the Disney Magic will depart Oct. 20 from Miami on a special five-night voyage including two stops at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, and a stop at Nassau. This first cruise after dry dock sets the stage for a schedule of two-, three-, four- and five-night cruises from Miami to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean. Beginning Jan. 2, 2014 the Disney Magic will sail from Port Canaveral on alternating three- and four-night cruises including a stop at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, and Nassau.

Beginning in early November, Disney Cruise Line adds sparkle to each ship, through the new year, with traditional “Turkey Day” fanfare, Christmas feasts, “snow flurries,” New Year’s Eve galas and Disney characters dressed for the occasion.

Special stem-to-stern holiday events include a nightly tree lighting in the atrium lobby, visits from Santa Claus and his elves, traditional holiday feasts, family holiday crafts, holiday storytellers and more. Guests will enjoy a bountiful Thanksgiving Day feast, with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and friends dressed in traditional Thanksgiving attire. • How a Disney story is different: “We are obsessed storytellers and we are obsessive about detail. … We all share a deep-seated passion about creating emotional moments. We get to touch people at the very core of their emotions. We want people to get lost in the story of ‘Mickey and the Magical Map.’”

Top 10 Attractions with the Shortest Lines at Disney World

SE

Memorial Day officially kicks off summer! Kids are on summer vacation, the temperatures are rising, people are filling up their pools, and families are going on vacation. Therefore, Disney World is a crowded place to be! If you’re visiting Disney World during the summer, you’re probably wondering how can I experience attractions without waiting and waiting? Is there anything that has a short line? Yes, there is! Disney World actually has many attractions that offer short waits almost all of the time so I have compiled a Top 10 list of attractions with the shortest lines.

1. TTA/WedWay People Mover-This attraction rarely ever has a wait; and even if it does, it’s usually very short. On really slow days, some Cast Members will even let you stay on the ride if you don’t want to get off, which is great if it’s raining or you have tired feet or tired kids. This attraction also gives riders a sneak peak of Space Mountain and is about 10 minutes long, which is pretty lengthy in comparison to other rides and shows. Regardless of what time of year you visit Disney World, you are almost always guaranteed a ride on the TTA with a minimum wait.

First Trailer For ‘Delivery Man’, Starring Vince Vaughn

Delivery Man

Vince Vaughn seems to be on a path to a comedic comeback this year. Next month sees his new film, ‘The Internship’, which he co-stars in with his ‘Wedding Crashers’ co-star Owen Wilson, landing. This will be followed by his new film, ‘The Delivery Man’, which opens November 22, 2013. The film stars Vaughn as a man who, after donating years ago at a fertility clinic, has unknowingly fathered 533 children. It sounds like a pretty funny premise, and I’m a fan of Vaughn, I have been going back as far as his roles in films like ‘Swingers’ and ‘Old School’. He’s a great comedic actor, so I’m definitely looking forward to checking this one out.

The film also stars Cobie Smulders, best known for her roles as Robin in ‘How I Met Your Mother’, as well her turn as Maria Hill in ‘The Avengers’, and Chris Pratt, best known for ‘Parks and Recreation’, and who will soon be going into superhero mode in his starring role as Starlord in Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. The film features a pretty great cast of comedic talent, so there’s definitely something to look forward to here. Are you excited about ‘Delivery Man’? Let me know in the comments below, only here at Chip and Company, and hit the jump to check out the teaser for the film.

Richard Sherman And Alan Menken Concert At D23 Expo 2013

d23 expo logo

For one night only, two of the world’s most celebrated songwriters and composers will take to the stage for “Richard M. Sherman and Alan Menken: The Disney Songbook.” The concert will take place at the D23 Expo 2013 at the Anaheim Convention Center in the D23 Expo Arena on Saturday, August 10.

Together Sherman and Menken have won a combined 10 Academy Awards for their work with Disney, and have composed music and songs for more than three dozen Disney feature films, over two dozen Disney Park attractions and half a dozen Disney musicals on Broadway.

“I can’t express how excited I am that my esteemed friend Alan Menken and I will be sharing the same bill for the very first time,” said Sherman. “Alan is an incredible talent, and I know we’re both thrilled to be performing for Disney’s most ardent fans—they’re the best and I can’t wait to be a part of what promises to be a very special night for all of us.”

“Richard Sherman and I share so many things; our cherished association with The Walt Disney Company, the blessing of having the opportunity to share our musical talents with “children of all ages” and a genuine mutual admiration—but one thing we’ve never gotten to share is a concert stage,” said Menken. “This summer at the D23 Expo 2013, we will do just that. And I can’t think of anyone I’d prefer to share that stage with. Richard, along with his brother Robert, wrote songs that filled my formative years with joy and fantasy. And, all these years later, I can say with complete honesty that there is no one I’ve met in our business who is more warm and generous than my friend and fellow songwriter, Richard Sherman.”

Man Arrested For Posing As A Member Of Disney Family and Giving Out Invalid Park Passes

Disneyland castle side

A man has been arrested for posing as a member of Disney family and giving out invalid park passes. Authorities have reported that a man has been arrested for claiming to be a member of the Walt Disney family and giving away fake Disneyland theme park passes.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said that the man called himself “Stephen Disney.” The man even had a fake driver’s license and tax forms that falsely claimed income from the Walt Disney Corporation.

Reports say that he gave fake Disneyland theme park passes to a woman for a raffle. When the winner of the raffle took the passes to Disneyland, she found out that they had not been activated.
