Starring Lebo M, Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, Jason Weaver, Ernie Sabella, Billy Eichner, and stage musical alumni Heather Headley and Bradley Gibson, with special guests North West and EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson, this music event celebrates 30 years of this Oscar and Tony Award-winning global phenomenon that has been brought to life through animation, the Broadway stage, live action and beyond.

Mission Breakout! Closing for Refurbishment in March 2025
Get ready for some intergalactic downtime! Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission BREAKOUT!, the popular drop tower ride at Disney California Adventure, will be temporarily closing its doors this spring for a scheduled refurbishment.
Mark your calendars: Sunday, March 9, will be the final day to ride Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! before it closes for a routine refurbishment on Monday, March 10. The Disneyland Resort website indicates the attraction will be closed through at least March 13, the furthest date currently available on the attraction calendar. Disney has not yet announced when the ride will reopen.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! calls Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure home, having taken over the space previously occupied by The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. While the iconic drop tower structure remains, Mission: BREAKOUT! offers a completely new experience. Guests joining Rocket on a daring rescue mission to free the Guardians of the Galaxy from The Collector’s clutches have been enjoying this adventure since the attraction’s opening on May 27, 2017.

The former Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel at Walt Disney World is undergoing a transformation, but not into the resurrected guest experience some fans had hoped for. Instead, the building is being converted into office space for Walt Disney Imagineering, the creative force behind Disney’s theme parks and attractions.
Multiple sources, including an individual close to The Walt Disney Company, have confirmed the news. The former Starcruiser will serve as a central hub for Imagineering’s ambitious expansion projects across Walt Disney World, including:
Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom: This new land will reportedly feature “Encanto” and Indiana Jones-themed attractions.
“Cars” and Disney Villains Expansions at Magic Kingdom: Two new areas are planned for Magic Kingdom, one focusing on the world of “Cars” and the other showcasing Disney villains.
“Monsters, Inc.” Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: A new land inspired by the Pixar film “Monsters, Inc.” is coming to Hollywood Studios.
While rumors had circulated about the Starcruiser potentially reopening as a dinner theater experience, those plans seem to have been scrapped. Sources indicate that playtests conducted with Cast Members were for a potential in-park dining experience, not something within the Starcruiser building itself. It is now confirmed that the building will not be accessible to guests.
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser was a highly immersive “Star Wars” hotel experience that allowed guests to participate in a two-day, two-night adventure. Guests could choose to align with the Resistance or the First Order, engage in lightsaber training, visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and enjoy themed dining and interactive experiences. However, despite its innovative concept, the Starcruiser closed permanently on September 30, 2023, after just over a year of operation.

After weeks of watching him hit adorable milestones, from his very first check-up to playtime with mom, yesterday marked the moment we’ve all been waiting for: Bakso is ready to explore his new world!
Stepping out with his fierce and fabulous mom, Sohni, this tiny striped explorer had his very first taste of adventure. Under the watchful eyes of his devoted animal care team (who are absolutely over-the-moon with pride!), Bakso sniffed, pounced, and prowled his way around his new surroundings—melting hearts every step of the way.
But beyond the undeniable cuteness, Bakso’s arrival is a BIG deal. With fewer than 600 Sumatran tigers left in the wild and managed care, every new cub is a precious symbol of hope for this critically endangered species. Bakso is living proof of the incredible conservation efforts led by Disney’s Animal Care Team, in collaboration with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and the Species Survival Plan (SSP).
