Animal Kingdom is more than just a zoo. There is is a lot to see and do there. There is a new animal experience called, “It All Started with a Mouse,” it is in Rafiki’s Planet Watch. The animal lovers in your life will love this!

“It All Started with a Mouse” shows Walt Disney’s lifelong love of the animal world and his belief that “what everyone will learn who studies it is a renewed sense of kinship with the earth and all its inhabitants.”

During the show, Conservation Station’s “animal ambassadors,” including sheep, parrots, porcupines, birds of prey and Kunekune pigs help tell stories and make appearances, as the cast members share natural history fun facts, conservation messages and calls-to-action.

Disney and NFL Stars Give High School Players a Chance to Shine at ESPN Wide World Of Sports Complex

Some lucky high school football players got to toss the pigskin around with Saints QB Drew Brees and several other NFL stars. They are making dreams come true at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World. The Drew Brees Passing Academy and 7-on-7 Tournament is taking place at the Disney sports complex through Saturday.

Brees, along with Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald, Eagles RB Darren Sproles and Patriots CB Darrelle Revis, are headlining the camp which involves football players representing 24 high schools, mainly from the southeast. After an opening day of offense-related drills, the teams began taking part in a 7-on-7 competition.

This is the second year at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for the passing academy which benefits the Brees Dream Foundation which provides support for cancer patients and families in need nationwide.

After the first day of the camp, the NFL players talked about the importance of the camp for these promising high school athletes, the upcoming NFL season and the fun they are having at Walt Disney World.

Walt Disney Worldwide Services is Being Sued in a Class Action Labor Lawsuit

A former Disneyland employee, Reykeel Zorio, is bringing a lawsuit against Walt Disney Worldwide Services. The claim is the house of mouse violated to California labor code.

Reykeel Zorio was hired in 2011, and held a job the Disneyland Resort. At some point his employment was transferred over to Walt Disney Parks and Resorts US Inc.

The plaintiff claims that Walt Disney Worldwide Services Inc., did not pay him vacation time that he says was due to him.

Oh wait there is more, Zorio also claims that Disney, failed to immediately provide employees who had been fired or terminated wages that were their due, along with vacation time and other forms of compensation that they were supposed to get under California labor employment law.

California and labor law holds, according to the complaint, that employees who resign are paid the aforementioned compensation within 72 hours of submitting their resignation. The California labor lawsuit claims that this was not done.

There are 6 California properties named in the lawsuit, Disneyland Hotel, Disney Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, Downtown Disney District, Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure Park. The class-action lawsuit would include any and all former nonexempt employees of the two Disney companies named as defendants, who might have worked at any of those properties over the past 4 years. There over 500 people taking part in this suit and they would be entitled to wages for each day they were not paid for up to a month from the time they were due, according to California state labor laws.

Allison Janney Will Star in “Finding Dory”

Peach is one of my favorite Characters in ‘Finding Nemo’. So I was happy to hear that she going to be in ‘Finding Dory’, and with her same voice of course. I really dislike when they bring a character back but they sound totally different.

Allison Janney has confirmed that she is in talks to voice Peach in the upcoming ‘Finding Dory’. She has admitted there has been some discussion about her return to the role in the upcoming sequel which will focus on Ellen DeGeneres’ character, the lovable Dory.

She said: “I hope so … God, I hope Peach comes back! I’m sure she’ll have a cameo at the very least.

“It was amazing to be part of that, it was a brilliant film.”

She said at the time: “I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time. I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating ‘Toy Story 16’. But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is, it’s got a lot more Dory.”

‘Finding Dory’ is set for release in June 2016.

Ben Kingsley will be Bagheera in “The Jungle Book”

Academy Award-winning actor Ben Kingsley has been cast as the voice of Bagheera in Disney’s upcoming The Jungle Book. Directed by Jon Favreau from a script by Justin Marks, The Jungle Book combines live action and animated filmmaking.

The script, which is being written by Justin Marks and centers on a boy named Mowgli, who is raised by animals in the jungle. Bagheera serves as his mentor and best friend, protecting him from the dangers of the wild, including the carnivorous Shere Khan.

Most of the animals will be computer-generated, but Disney is reportedly searching for a live action actor to play Mowgli.

The Jungle Book arrives in theaters in 3D on October 9, 2015.

Frozen Summer Fun LIVE Event Coming this Summer to Hollywood Studios

Olaf wants you to help him celebrate his favorite season, summer! There have been no official details released yet but from what we can see this event will start July 5 and will take place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

It’s called Frozen Summer Fun LIVE! It should run the entire summer.

The event will have entertainment, that will be “Frozen” themed of course.

That will include a big royal welcome for Elsa and Anna on the Sorcerers Stage.”Oaken’s Frozen Fun Land” at Pixar Place, a “Frozen” sing along on the Streets of America. Last but not least, end the day with a big bang at a dance party, with fireworks of course, on Hollywood Boulevard.

Update 6/26/2014 1:15: Disney has released the scoop on this new summer “Frozen” event. It will start July 5th and run all summer. Here is the official lineup of events:

Anna and Elsa’s Royal Welcome: Start your ” Frozen” fun at 11:00 a.m. each day, Elsa and Anna arrive in Hollywood as part of their goodwill tour of neighboring kingdoms, making their way down Hollywood Boulevard in a horse-drawn sleigh. Don’t worry Kristoff will join the fun too. They will be joined by skaters, skiiers, ice cutters and more! The entire procession ends in a special moment at the Sorcerer’s Hat Icon Stage to officially welcome the visiting royalty to this kingdom of Hollywoodland.

Olaf on Summer Vacation: Olaf the snowman is having the time of his life on his very first summer vacation! Finally Olaf gets to experience summer!. He will be chiming in periodically throughout the day to keep everyone updated on all his adventures. Share your photos with Olaf on social media and use the hashtag #OlafSummerVacation. Your pics may be selected to appear in that day’s grand finale!

!Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post & Frozen Funland: Inside Soundstage One, Oaken and his cousins have created a Frozen Funland filled with cold weather activities, unique photo opportunities, and more! There’s a frozen pond with ice skating demonstrations, wintertime fun for kids in the “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” play area, a “big summer blowout” with plenty of “Frozen” merchandise, and special “Frozen”-inspired food and beverage offerings

“Frozen” Fireworks Spectacular: The icy event winds down at 9:45 p.m. Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf come together at the Sorcerer’s Hat Icon Stage for a grand finale to the day’s festivities, kicking off an awe-inspiring fireworks display set to the glorious music of “Frozen!”
