Magic Kingdom Annual Passholder Reservations Gone for Valentine’s Day 2025! ❤️🏰
Love is in the air at Walt Disney World this year—and so are Annual Passholders, apparently! If you were hoping to reserve Magic Kingdom for a romantic day of Disney magic on February 14, you’re out of luck—all Annual Passholder park reservations for Magic Kingdom are officially gone for Valentine’s Day.
While Magic Kingdom is fully booked for Annual Passholders in the theme park reservation system, there are still ways to enjoy the park on Valentine’s Day. Here’s what you need to know:
Park Hopping to Magic Kingdom
Even though reservations for Magic Kingdom are full, Annual Passholders can still visit the park before 2 PM without a reservation—as long as they secure a park resrvation at another park and enter that reserved park first. That means you can start your day at Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, or Hollywood Studios (all of which still have availability) and then make your way to Magic Kingdom for a dreamy evening stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. under the twinkle of Cinderella Castle.
Entering Magic Kingdom Without a Reservation (After 2 PM)
If you’re not planning to visit another park first, you can still enter Magic Kingdom after 2 PM without a park reservation—a handy perk for Passholders looking to enjoy the evening magic. Entering after 2PM at Magic Kingdom is not available on Saturday or Sunday, but luckily Valentines Day falls on a Friday this year!
While date-based tickets no longer require reservations, some admission types still do. If you’re using one of these ticket types, you’ll need a park reservation to visit any Disney park:
Annual Passes
Student group tickets
Sport and Convention tickets
Disney Military Salute Tickets
Florida Resident Discover Disney Tickets
If you’re unsure about your ticket type, it’s always best to check My Disney Experience before heading to the parks.

First Look at Universal Orlando’s New Entrance Signs and Digital Animation Loop
Universal Orlando Resort has unveiled brand-new digital entrance signs, and thanks to X user bioreconstruct, we now have a first look at the animation loop featured on these eye-catching displays. The updated marquees, located at key entry points around the resort, feature sleek digital screens that bring Universal’s iconic attractions to life.
The centerpiece of each sign remains the Universal Orlando Resort globe logo, flanked by a total of 6 dynamic digital screens (three on each side). These screens continuously showcase beloved characters from franchises represented in the Universal parks, including Jurassic Park, Shrek, Harry Potter, Trolls, and Kung Fu Panda. The animation cycle begins with two characters appearing on either side of the logo, gradually growing in size before transitioning to another set of characters from the same IP. After a few seconds, the entire background changes, introducing a new franchise into the mix. This seamless loop keeps the signage fresh and engaging for guests arriving at the resort.
The newly installed signs can be spotted at several key entry points to Universal Orlando, including:
These upgraded entrance displays set the stage for the excitement waiting inside Universal Orlando’s theme parks, adding an extra layer of immersive storytelling before guests even step through the gates. Keep an eye out for the new signs on your next visit!

Honoring the Sherman Brothers: New “it’s a small world” Verse Debuts at Disneyland’s 70th
For its 70th anniversary this summer, Disneyland is debuting a new verse to the beloved “it’s a small world” attraction, along with a special tribute to the legendary Sherman Brothers.
Guests visiting the Main Street Cinema will have the opportunity to learn about the remarkable story and lasting impact of the Sherman Brothers, the renowned songwriting duo. As a key part of this tribute, a three-and-a-half-minute film, “The Last Verse,” will be shown, highlighting their beloved song, “It’s a Small World.”
Created for the song’s 60th anniversary, the film features a new verse written by Richard M. Sherman in his final contribution to Disney.
The verse reads:
“Mother earth unites us in heart and mind And the love we give makes us humankind Through our vast wondrous land When we stand hand in hand It’s a small world after all.”
Disney Legend Richard M. Sherman passed away on May 25, 2024. He and his brother Robert B. Sherman (who passed away in 2012) were a prolific songwriting duo, composing music and lyrics for numerous theme park attractions worldwide. Their iconic contributions include “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” for the Carousel of Progress (originally created for the 1964 World’s Fair), “The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room” for Disneyland’s Enchanted Tiki Room, and, of course, “It’s a Small World,” also written for the 1964 World’s Fair.
The Sherman brothers also penned “The Best Time of Your Life,” the second tune for the Carousel of Progress, in the 1970s. In the early 1980s, they contributed to EPCOT Center and Tokyo Disneyland, writing songs such as “One Little Spark” for Journey Into Imagination and “Meet the World” for the Tokyo Disneyland attraction of the same name.
Disneyland will debut the third and final verse of “it’s a small world” within the attraction itself starting July 17th. This coincides with the opening of new exhibits at the Main Street Opera House, including artifacts and an animatronics display. Additionally, Disneyland has announced that the “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” audio-animatronic show has been delayed and will now also premiere on July 17th.
Will you be celebrating the 70th anniversary at Disneyland this summer?

Cinderella, the iconic princess whose kindness, courage, and impeccable style have captivated hearts for over 75 years, continues to inspire. Among those inspired is 10-year-old Rita from Georgia, who is bravely battling cancer. Rita’s wish? To meet the talented costuming team at Disney and learn the art of designing a princess ballgown, a dream inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios classic.
To celebrate the film’s 75th anniversary, Disney and Make-A-Wish collaborated to bring Rita’s dream to life at Walt Disney World. This special occasion allowed Rita to step behind the scenes and experience the magic firsthand.
Rita’s journey began with a visit to Disney Live Entertainment’s costume design studio. Guided by expert costume designers, she explored a world of colors, fabrics, and shimmering sparkles. With her family and new Disney friends by her side, Rita carefully selected her materials and began sketching her vision. The result? A breathtaking design she christened “Rita’s Rose Diamond Dress.”
“I was so excited because I got to go to a top-secret fashion place at Disney,” Rita shared. “I got to see all the ways costumes are designed, which was really cool.”
The Disney costuming team then surprised Rita with an incredible gift: a scale model replica of her “Rita’s Rose Diamond Dress,” a tangible reminder of her creative achievement. For Allison, a Disney costume specialist who worked with Rita, the experience was deeply personal. “As a child, I was in and out of the hospital myself,” Allison explained. “It means so much to be able to fulfill a wish for someone going through that because I know what it’s like. It’s one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at Disney, and I’m so grateful I got to be part of it.”
Making Memories that Last a Lifetime
Now a fairytale fashion designer, Rita’s magical day continued with encounters with beloved characters from the classic film, including Cinderella’s mischievous stepsisters. These lighthearted moments provided a welcome respite during her medical journey. “We have a long road ahead of us,” Rita’s mom shared, “but having this time together as a family, having fun and smiling… there’s no words. It means so much to us. This will be a forever memory for us.”
After a touch of playful antics and a special serenade, Rita’s dream culminated at Cinderella Castle, where she was greeted by Cinderella and Prince Charming themselves. “I just had a blast!” Rita exclaimed, recounting her unforgettable day.
A 45-Year Partnership of Magic
Disney wishes, like Rita’s, bring joy and hope to children with critical illnesses when they need it most. These experiences create lasting memories for families and offer a powerful source of strength. This magic is made possible through the longstanding partnership between Disney and Make-A-Wish. For 45 years, they have worked together, with Disney proudly serving as the world’s largest wish granter for the foundation. Their collaboration continues to bring smiles and dreams to children like Rita, proving that happily ever after can come true!
Duffy debuted at Tokyo Disney Resort nearly 20 years ago, and since then, his circle of friends—ShellieMay, Gelatoni, StellaLou, CookieAnn, ‘Olu Mel, and LinaBell—has grown. Every party needs decorations! Starting at the park entrance, you’ll find banners featuring all seven members of Duffy and Friends and depicting the number “20.” For those wanting picture perfect moments, there will be colorful art displayed on the walls around Via Paperino over in Mediterranean Harbor. The buildings found in Cape Cod will also be decked out with decorations themed to rainbows and bubbles.
It wouldn’t be a Duffy and Friends celebration without all-new merchandise items! One of our favorite items are the plush charms featuring all seven members holding a bubble-shaped case that can hold one of 20 special patches designed just for the 20th anniversary.
A new flavor is also being added to the fan-favorite, crème brûlée churro lineup! Over at Tropic Al’s in Lost River Delta, you’ll find the all-new milk tea-flavored crème brûlée churro. And that’s not all, each churro will come in a package adorned with one of seven unique designs featuring a member of Duffy and Friends – how adorable!
There’s even a new popcorn bucket just in time for the 20th anniversary! Ready to be served with popcorn, you’ll find all your favorites from Duffy to Gelatoni, Linabell and more represented.
Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina located in Lost River Delta will be home to a 20th anniversary dining experience celebrating the world of Duffy. Here you can try a special Duffy set served with seasonal soups.
Duffy and Friends will also embark on a journey along the waterways of Tokyo DisneySea. All seven friends can’t wait to celebrate the special occasion in their all-new 20th anniversary outfits during “Duffy and Friends’ Colorful Happiness Journey.”
Step into the charming Main Street, U.S.A. upon entering Disneyland Park. Inspired by Walt Disney’s hometown of Marceline, Missouri, this turn-of-the-20th-century town evokes small-town America’s hope and optimism. As Disneyland Resort prepares for its momentous 70th anniversary on July 17, 2025, exciting new experiences are coming to Main Street, U.S.A. and beyond, celebrating Disneyland’s history and heritage while looking forward to its bright future.
A Tribute to the Sherman Brothers, Coming to the Main Street Cinema
Inside the famed Main Street Cinema, you’ll get to see the story and impact of the famous songwriting duo, the Sherman brothers.
Here you can watch a heartwarming three-and-a-half minute film called “The Last Verse,” which celebrates the timeless connection and hope behind the Sherman brothers’ iconic song, “It’s a Small World.” Created for the song’s 60th anniversary, this film unveils a new verse written by legendary composer Richard M. Sherman in his final Disney contribution. In the spirit of the beloved song, viewers journey across the globe as the song is passed from person to person and generation to generation, culminating in the reveal of this heartfelt new verse:
“Mother earth unites us in heart and mind
And the love we give makes us humankind
Through our vast wondrous land
When we stand hand in hand
It’s a small world after all.”
Additionally, Disney is honored to share that they will be premiering this third and final verse in the “it’s a small world” attraction at Disneyland, beginning July 17.
New Experiences at the Main Street Opera House
As you enter the Opera House on Main Street, U.S.A., you’ll find an all-new gallery experience featuring the evolution of Walt Disney’s dream of Disneyland, which became the theme park that inspired generations and changed the entertainment world forever. On display will be images, art and artifacts – some never before seen – that show Disneyland before, during, and after Walt’s dream became a reality. Walt Disney Imagineering and the Walt Disney Archives have curated relics and memorabilia from the very early stages of Disneyland, as well as through the evolution of what Walt’s original park has become today.
As you journey further into the lobby of the Opera House, you’ll discover another special exhibit. Here you’ll encounter the story and history of Audio-Animatronics technology, from Walt’s day leading to the advancement of where we are today. You’ll learn about Walt’s inspiration and see firsthand the inner workings of this technology, and how far Audio-Animatronics figures have advanced through the years.
Additionally, Disney is collaborating with The Walt Disney Family Museum, which has selected more than 30 artifacts for these experiences in the lobby. Among the treasures on loan in the gallery will be original items from Walt’s private apartment above the Fire Station on Main Street. These items include an original rocking chair, lamp and table, all of which have never been publicly exhibited at Disneyland park before.
The Walt Disney Family Museum is also loaning some of Walt’s humanitarian accolades for guests to enjoy. You’ll be able to get a close look at items including Walt’s 1955 Emmy award for the “Walt Disney’s Disneyland” TV show, his Presidential Medal of Freedom awarded by President Johnson in 1964, and the Walt Disney Commemorative Medal presented to Lillian Disney by President Nixon in 1969.
With so much to enjoy prior to experiencing “Walt Disney – A Magical Life,” this attraction will now open alongside these new Main Street Opera House exhibits on July 17.
As you step into the theater, you’ll get to experience the incredible story of Walt Disney’s life. Through remastered footage and audio recordings, you’ll be taken on a cinematic journey that leads from Walt’s early endeavors to the bright lights of Los Angeles and beyond. And when the curtain rises, guests will be transported to Walt’s office. Through the magic of Audio-Animatronics storytelling that he helped pioneer, Walt will share some heartfelt stories and words of wisdom.
After its initial run, “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” will play in rotation with “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.”
The exit lobby will preview projects and moments of how Disneyland will continue to move forward, as well as showcase how it has done so for decades.
Imagineers are hard at work creating these experiences that will mark an incredible moment in 70 years of Disneyland history.
Will you be visiting Disneyland during the 70th anniversary celebration?
