How To Get Away With Murder Season One DVD

I cannot tell you have excited I was to get a review copy of the hit ABC drama “How to Get Away With Murder”.  I had watched the show as it aired earlier this year and was excited to watch the first season again as I got ready for season two! “How To Get Away With Murder: The Complete First Season” releases on DVD August 4th.

“How to Get Away With Murder” features Viola Davis as Annalise Keating, an aggressive defense attorney and law professor.  Each year she chooses a few promising students to become her interns for the year, assisting her and the rest of her staff on, what seem to be, impossible to win cases.  At some point the line between defending murderers and commit murder starts to blur when Annalise and her students become  involved in a homicide that has the potential to ruin them all.

Without giving anything away, because the suspense and unknown is what makes this show so amazing, the show is told through both flashforwards, flashbacks and present day situations and of course the case of the week.  I was kept guessing right up until the very end!  Even watch a second time I still let out a gasp at the big reveal.

Season One consists of 15 drama-packed episodes spanning a three month period.  Each episode just gets better and better as you delve deeper into the lives of the characters and the unfolding stories.

Also included on this DVD are several bonus features.  And I loved each of them.

First Year Law – This feature includes interviews with the actors, creators and producers of this hit series.  It was great to hear their thoughts on the show and how it evolved for them.

“Bye Felicia” Music Video – A hilarious video featuring Asher Millstone, the spoiled rich kid and one of the Keating Five.  I couldn’t stop laughing as I watched this feature.

Deleted Scenes – It was great to see some of the unaired moments from the first season.

Bloopers – This feature is always my favorite!  I love seeing clips of the cast having fun while on set working.  Definitely good for a laugh or two.

“How To Get Away With Murder” stars Viola Davis as Annalise Keating, Billy Brown as Nate Lahey, Alfred Enoch as Wes Gibbins, Jack Falahee as Connor Walsh, Katie Findlay as Rebecca Sutter, Aja Naomi King as Michaela Pratt, Matt McGorry as Asher Millstone, Karla Souza as Laurel Castillo, Charlie Weber as Frank Delfino and Liza Weil as Bonnie Winterbottom.

Overall I loved the first season and the DVD had several extras that were great.  If you didn’t catch How to Get Away With Murder when it aired on ABC now is your chance and if you did, the Bonus Features are awesome and certainly worth checking out.  Pick up your copy of “How To Get Away With Murder: The Complete First Season” on DVD August 4th.

Things Disney Addicts Never Say: Parks Edition

As a follow up to the Top 10 Things Disney Addicts Never Say: Resort Edition, I bring you, Parks Edition. Being a Disney Travel Specialist I have heard all of these at least once from people I enthusiastically talk about Disney to. I’m  sure you, as a fellow Disney Addict, have heard some of these before.  If you are one of those people, I demand you go back to Disney immediately, because you need some magic in your life!

Here are a few of my favorite lines:

“I think I’m too old for Disney.” Say what!? There is plenty to keep adults entertained both in and out of the Parks. From gourmet dining, to boat rental and jet skiing, musicals, shopping, and tasting craft beer and wine from countries around the world, I *almost* enjoy Disney more without kids!  Need some more grown-up ideas? Try these: Disney Magic Outside the Theme Parks or my favorite adult-friendly event, Food & Wine Festival.

“Fantasmic is boring.” Yeah I guess, if you don’t think fireworks, pyrotechnics,  and fountains synchronized to music! Fantasmic! is a MUST DO on our trips. I also heard that they are adding Rapunzel to the show!

“You’re going to Disney again? Didn’t you just go?” Yup, I did, and I have a trip booked for 2016 too. Why do you think we are called Addicts?  Disney is a different trip every time. Staying at a different one of the 20+ resorts on site changes up the vacation completely.  You can Cruise to locations around the world, and visit cities and National Parks with amazing pre-planned itineraries with Adventures by Disney.  If you’re ready to find out for yourself what Disney Travel has to offer,  I can help., email me at [email protected]

“Wake up at early on vacation… for a breakfast reservation?”  I am NOT a morning person by any means. But, I do know that making Rope Drop and an early morning Cinderella’s Royal Table breakfast reservation are important at Disney. The empty Main Street photos are totally worth it! I help my clients find the best reservations and plan their itinerary for FREE.

“What movie is Splash Mountain about? Is it even Disney?” Every true Disney Addict should know this bit of trivia! Splash Mountain is the tale of Br’er Rabbit,  Bear, and Fox, from the controversial Disney Classic  film, Song of the South which is based on the books about Uncle Remus.  The movie never released on DVD, but you can still find VHS copies. (And if you don’t know who Orange Bird is, you’d better Google that too!)

“Wait in line to meet a character??”  *Eye Roll* We LOVE meeting the Princesses and characters and getting autographs. It’s part of the Magic of Disney. Only in the Parks do the characters “come to life.” People who love Disney movies will wait hours to meet the stars, such as Anna & Elsa. We know where to find them,  what FastPasses are needed for the popular meet and greets, and the best time to find them in the Parks.

“Where are the Minions?”  You NEVER say this in a Disney Park! This goes for wearing Minion and Spongebob shirts at Disney too. Yes, I like them, they are hilarious…. But it’s like wearing a Browns Jersey to Pittsburgh. You just don’t go there. If you want to add a Universal trip onto your Disney Vacation, just ask me how! I can hook you up with both.

“Dole Whips aren’t THAT good.”  Dole Whip may just be Pineapple soft serve but it’s more than that at Disney! It’s a staple. It’s a souvenir for your stomach. In the hot Florida sun, with the Adventureland theme playing and Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse in the background, there is nothing better.

“What’s so great about Pin Trading?” I don’t see how some people just can’t see the fun in being able to collect and trade Disney merch with Cast Members and other travelers. It’s like a secret club! I love trying to find a “theme” of pins, like all Princesses or all Pixar. It’s challenging and it brings people together. Just try it, I PROMISE you’ll be hooked!

“I don’t buy Disney clothes there because I’d never wear them at home anyway” A true Disney Addict has at least one Disney item nearby or on them at all times. No exceptions! From car decals, to phone covers and coffee mugs, we bring Disney home with us, and proudly display it for all to see!

“Disney was too hot and  crowded for us.” *has only been July 4th weekend*  Share the Crowd Calendar with this person on Pinterest and let it do the talking. What do you expect, it’s Florida, during summer break, yes it’s 90 degrees, yes you will wait in 60 minute lines, but with a proper strategy, time at the pool, and Typhoon Lagoon,  even a summer time trip can be magical! Check out my other article: How to Survive a Summer Trip to WDW.

“There’s nothing educational.” Someone said to me once,  “I want to take my kids somewhere they will actually learn something”, so I wrote the list Top 10 Educational Experiences at Disney. From culture to astronomy, Epcot alone is a learning experience. The Land and Sea buildings give up close experiences with farming, hydroponics and marine biology. The shows and attractions at Animal Kindom teach an appreciation for the Earth and wildlife conservation.

“I don’t use a Travel Agent.”  Disney Addicts know that when it comes to getting the good deals and discounts, having a reliable travel planner, and making the most out of their Disney Vacation, they contact us at World of Magic Travel, Chip and Co.’s preferred agency. Our services are completely free to you, so you have nothing to lose except stress!   Ask me today for a free quote by email at [email protected] or on Facebook HERE. You can also follow me on Instagram sharing the Disney love @summers_magical_travel.

What have you heard non-Disney Addicts say that made you cringe? I know there are some other good ones! Please share them in the comments below so we can commiserate!

Big Family? No problem! Disney Resorts Can Accommodate Families of 5 or More

contemporary
contemporary

contemporary

As a Mom of 3, I know all about vacationing at the Walt Disney World Resort with a family of 5. There are resorts in every price level that have space for 5+ from Art of Animation to the Animal Kingdom Villas. Some large families prefer 2 adjoining standard rooms instead, but the price can be very comparable, or even less, to stay all together.

Staying in January or February can also help cut the cost of a family vacation by a lot! Ask me for a free price quote for your large family or group and I will help you find the perfect place to stay! Just send me an email at [email protected] to get started.

Here are my suggestions

Art of Animation Resort: Family Suites

Choose from Lion King, Cars or Finding Nemo rooms at the AoA Resort for your family of 6 or less! These family suites have 2 bathrooms, 1 master bedroom, living room with double sofa sleeper, a double pull down bed, and a kitchenette! The colorful, fun, larger than life icons and room decor at this Resort make it the most “Disney-fied” resort on property! Even the pools “The Big Blue” and the “Cozy Cone Pool”  are like being in a Disney Movie!

Caribbean Beach Resort

One of my favorites! CBR is a tropical paradise with white sand beaches and hammocks; the perfect place to retreat after a long day at the Parks. It is separated into different Caribbean island villages such as Aruba, Barbados and Martinique. It has standard rooms that accommodate 5 guests per room, and features 1 bathroom – with separate double sink vanity area, 2 queen beds, and a pull down single bunk, which is good for kids under 10.

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

These 500 square feet private cabins are a perfect mix of camping, and being at a 4 star Resort. More privacy, more amenities, and more space! These air-conditioned log cabins are great for multi-generational families bringing Grandma and Grandpa along. They have fully-equipped kitchens with utensils and appliances. They accommodate 6 guests in a bedroom with a double bed and bunk beds,  and a double sized fold-down bed. You get a private deck with a grill too!

Contemporary Resort

Stay within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom at a Disney Deluxe resort, the Contemporary. Ride the Monorail to the other Deluxes to shop and eat, or watch the Wishes Firework show from your room! The Contemporary offers rooms with 2 queens and one single day bed for a total of 5 guests. It has one bathroom and is the largest square footage found in a standard room. Staying on the Monorail gives you fast transportation, amazing theme park views, and great dining experiences such as Chef Mickey’s and California Grill.

Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas

This Disney Deluxe Resort offers two options for large families: one bedroom villas for 5 guests and two bedroom villas for 9 guests. You have the convenience of a full kitchen, dining room table, washer and dryer, and balcony at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas. Kidani and Jambo, the two villages of AKL offer views of the savannas where animals such as zebras and giraffes roam freely outside your window. The pools are amazing with water slides and hot tubs too.  There are 3 restaurants on-site including one of my favorites, Sanaa.

Honorable Mentions: All- Star Music Resort, Polynesian Village Resort, and Old Key West Villas.

Trying to find the most economical time to take your large family or group to Walt Disney World or on a Disney Cruise? January and February are great options! Low crowds and off-peak times make for the most affordable room rates. Ask me for a free price quote anytime!

It’s not too late to book the Fall Room Discount for select dates in October-December! I’d love to help you find a room that will accommodate your group or family. There is always the option to book two separate rooms as well. I will show you the price differences and we can compare rooms to see what fits into your budget. My help is free so you have nothing to lose!

More Possible Closings at Hollywood Studios

Mermaid

Hiya boys and girls! You know I love to announce myself, so drum roll please……….. It is “I” Anonymouse! Now that is out of the way, Let’s get straight to the Disney Gossip. We all know I live for the gossip!! One the menu today is Hollywood Studios. Uh oh I said menu, don’t tell Chip he might think there is food involved!

Hollywood Studios has been referred to as one day or half a day park for a little while now, and I totally see it. We know there are some changes coming for the park, and I know change is hard but it can be a good thing. I have heard some buzzing around recently about some more possible changes. One Man’s Dream and Voyage of the Little Mermaid could be closing in late September of this year. It would be so sad for One Man’s Dream to close. I think everyone should see that at least once. One thing I always liked about Disney is that they always include Walt! For you Ariel fans, have no fear you can still meet your favorite princess at the Magic Kingdom and enjoy her ride over there. I do love that ride!

Maybe they are closing these things down to make room for the Star Wars Land expansion?

Keep in mind that nothing has been officially announced by the head cheese, so nothing is official yet!

Let’s hear your thoughts in the comment box below…

Anywho, this all the Disney gossip I have for now. For my past gossip articles be sure to check them out here. Got any good gossip/rumors please email me at anonymouse@chipandco.com or on my Facebook page
