A Beautiful Planet Coming to IMAX Next April

Walt Disney Pictures and IMAX will be presenting the Toni Myers documentary “A Beautiful Planet” on April 29, 2016. As part of the Earth Day Celebration in April, the documentary includes footage shot by the astronauts on board the International Space Station. The film made in cooperation with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) gives viewers a change to see “A Beautiful Planet” from space.

The Giant Screen Cinema Association will be hosting their International Conference and Trade Shot next week in San Francisco, where Toni Myers will unveil film footage. Imax Entertainment CEO Greg Foster praised Toni Myers on her “remarkable film that uniquely captures the raw beauty of our planet,”Alan Bergman, president of Walt Disney Studios, shared the following statement about how the movie “provides a unique perspective on our relationship with Earth, offering audiences a vantage point that very few have ever been able to experience.”Toni Myers has been instrumental in making documentaries including the 2010 “Hubble 3D” “Blue Planet” and “Space Station 3D”.

Disney World Could Soon Enforce a “No Chanting” Rule

Hiya ladies and gents! It is “I” the infamous Anonymouse. I need to get straight to the point with today’s gossip because it is something many locals, or frequent visitors, had hoped would happen for quite sometime now. Could it be? Could Disney World soon enforce a “no chanting” rule? OMG I hope so!

Even if you are not a frequent visitor or a local passholder, you may have at some point come in contact with a huge group of chanting tourists. I honestly do not know how they let it go this long. I am all for people having fun but not when it disturbs others.

I am not sure exactly how this rule would be carried out. Considering most of these groups do not speak English and we do have freedom of speech here. Could Disney open themselves up for lawsuits? Maybe. However, I have been told the CM’s are being told little by little to stop loud chanting. We shall see.

Disney has announced nothing about this so let us remember that nothing is official until they say so.

Georgia Family Killed in a Crash on Their Way to Disney World

This Georgia family, Thomas Garza 23, his fiance Lillian Luna 20, and their one year old baby, Brianna decided to take a last minute trip to Disney World to celebrate Brianna’s first birthday.

Sadly, they were killed when their Nissan Maxima was hit from behind by a Mercedes SUV in Lake County. Both cars flipped and ended up catching fire. Brianna was ejected from the car and died at Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando.

“They were hoping to give her a huge birthday for the big No. 1, and they knew this weekend they’d have time to spend together,” said Luna’s sister, Elataly Luna. “It’s just so sad.”

James Dameron 24, was the driver of the Mercedes. He only suffered minor injuries and was transported to South Lake Hospital in Clermont.

His drivers license was suspended Sept. 1. Records show he has been charged with possession of methamphetamine and resisting an officer without violence. Not to mention charges for unlawful speed, texting while driving, and littering on a public highway.

Charges are pending and so far the investigation shows that Dameron was traveling faster than the Garza family.

Woman Pleads Guilty in Fraud Disney Ticket Ring

We recently reported about a Fraud Disney Ticket ring involving and Orange County Woman by the name Eileen Hightower. She has recently plead guilty to stealing people’s identities and buying hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Disney tickets, and the then reselling them for profit.

Hightower is suspected to be the ring leader but she did have at least 2 other accomplices. She admitted to buying more than $360,000 worth of Disney tickets. Her husband stated that the prosecution is “a waste of time and money.” “They want to waste America’s tax dollars on someone who is going to walk out with probation. That’s a waste of your tax money, your tax money and my tax money.”

She could get up to 10 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine. She has admitted to making fake cards but with real information from the over 20 identity theft victims. She bought huge amounts of Disney tickets at resorts using fake credit cards. She would then resell them to a local ticket re-seller in Central Florida.

A Disney spokesperson said the tickets involved were real and accounts exploited were not connected to Disney. Her guilty plea also requires her to pay back whatever restitution to the victims as the court sees fit.

The actual ticket re-seller has not been named and they have not been charged, but there is an ongoing investigation. Please remember to do your research!

2015 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Maps

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party will be starting very soon. I can not wait to go to, I look forward to it all year. So, I was so excited to see the maps for this years party.

Don’t forget about the new stage show, Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. It will be performed 4 times a night so that give you plenty of time to get some more candy and catch the show. I did notice that the parade and fireworks are starting at different times, the parade at 8:35pm and 11:15pm, and fireworks at 10pm.

Of course there will be the usual special merchandise, a limited editions MagicBand, and a special editions trading pin. You can get them at the Emporium, and the pin at Frontier Trading Post.

My favorite part of the party, the special cupcake. The ghost cupcake will be Gaston’s Tavern. There will also be a spider cupcake and monster cupcake at the Main Street Bakery. If you are not in the mood for cupcakes, Storybook Treats will have a Candy Corn soft serve ice cream.

Disney Teams Up With Microsoft and Amazon

Disney has signed agreements with Amazon and Microsoft that will let them to use its cloud-based digital movie service.

The deals expand the number of ways in which people can watch Disney films. The company already has agreements in place with Vudu, Google Play and iTunes. The service includes more than 450 digital movies.

The Walt Disney Co. said that U.S. customers of Amazon Video and Microsoft Movies & TV will now be able to connect to Disney Movies Anywhere starting Tuesday. The service will let users access Disney, Pixar, Marvel and “Star Wars” movies in various ways, including through the Disney Movies Anywhere app for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and for Amazon Fire tablets, Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. Customers can also access and watch movies through the Amazon Video app for televisions, connected devices and mobile devices and through the Microsoft Movies and TV service on Windows and Microsoft Xbox devices, as well as online.

The app will be available on Roku and Android TV starting Sept. 15.

Disney’s Mickey Mouse Egg Ring/ Pancake Mold – this is probably one of my most used items in the kitchen. Perfect for eggs or pancakes. Be sure to spray some Pam on so your food doesn’t stick.

Finally what Disney Kitchen Collection would not be complete without a Disney Mickey Mouse Oven Mitt. I picked up 2 of these the last time I was at the park and they work flawlessly. The one from Amazon will run you $19.

Walt Disney World will soon be offering a new way to enjoy the Nighttime Spectacular, Wishes, while enjoying some tasty treats. The new Ferrytale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise is the perfect way to take in a breathtaking view of the Magic Kingdom Park night time spectacular fireworks from an exclusive spot on Seven Seas Lagoon with dazzling desserts and drinks.

Guests will sail off from the Ticket & Transportation Ferryboat Dock promptly one hour prior to “Wishes” Nighttime Spectacular, which is on offered select nights weekly. Reese Witherspoon recently tweeted the above message while holding a Disney guest entrance pass.

While we already know she is going to be working on the upcoming Disney movie “Tink”, we also have her connected to another Disney movie “Wish List” which has been on hold since 2001. “Wish List” is a romantic comedy about a girl who throws a coin into a well and makes a wish. The coin gets stuck and her wishes do not come true until years later.

Or maybe, she has a new project? Her twitter fans tossed around the possibility of “Capt. Marvel” and another “Legally Blonde” movie but Reese nor Walt Disney Studios has not officially confirmed or released any information. Either way, this Entertainment Writer is excited to see Reese Witherspoon in a Disney movie and hope that “Wish List” and “Tink” are coming to theatres soon.
