2015 10 28 13 19 55 Pint Sized Painter Sets Her Sights On Disney NBC News

3 year old Eva Sorensen is literally painting her way to Disneyland. Eva has always wanted to go to Disneyland, but her parents can not afford the trip. Eva has been asking her mom over and over again if they could go. One day her mother, Kaitlin Sorensen, decided to give her a different answer she said, ‘Well, we can’t afford to do that, how would you help us do that?’ So her suggestion was to paint pictures.

So, of course Mom and Dad got her all the supplies she needed to make her masterpieces. Eva did just that, she created artwork and sold it on social media. The entire business is Eva’s. She even has her own debit card, which she uses to buy more art supplies for her growing business. She is a business owner and already learning the value of a dollar. She has sold 20 paintings and made more than $600 in one month. She has buyers all over Utah and as far as Canada.

New details surface on Rivers of Light Show in Disney’s Animal Kingdom…

The “Rivers of Light Show” is the new immersive nighttime experience coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in spring 2016, will combine live performances with beautiful floating lanterns, water screens and grand theatrical imagery, in a celebration of animals and nature. The event begins with the arrival of a pair of Shamans, two complimentary forces who come to the river bearing gifts of light. Along with their Acolytes, or assistants, the Shamans set out from the shore on elaborate lantern vessels, engaging in a dramatic dance of water and light to summon the animal spirits.

The information leaked via the Disney Auditions site where they are currently looking for CONTEMPORARY and BOLLYWOOD-STYLE dancers for featured roles in a new offering at the Walt Disney World® Resort, near Orlando, FL. These silent narrators orchestrate all the action to convey the spirit of an ancient and timeless celebration. Choreographed by Ulka Simone Mohanty.

Disney is seeking the following roles:

Male Dancers: 5’9″ and above. Strong mover, agile, strong physical storyteller.

Female Dancers: 5’3″ and above. Strong mover, agile, strong physical storyteller.

If you’re a Jimmy Fallon fan then you’ve already heard the news on The Tonight Show about this new attraction starring none other than Jimmy at Universal Orlando! For those that missed the big announcement no worries I have a few details I can share, but some are not going to like it. I have good news and bad.

Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon:

On this new ride you’ll see the streets of New York City from the subway tunnels to the skyscrapers the city is known for as well as several of the famous landmarks that we know and love. With Jimmy as our guide you never know who or what you will encounter.

Of course since Jimmy Fallon is a comedian he wanted “his” ride to be a fun and hilarious adventure that takes place in his hometown of New York City. Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, will open in 2017 at Universal Studios Orlando.

Harrison Ford Is Irreplacable as Indy!

When Walt Disney Studios acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, most of the excitement centered on the Star Wars films, but for this Entertainment Writer, my focus was on the future of Indy! The Indiana Jones movies were and continue to be a popular series for many fans. While rumors of a fifth film have come up in the past few years, nothing concrete has been decided leaving us waiting inpatiently for any news that may surface.

Along with rumors of a fifth film came talk of a possibility that Harrison Ford would be replaced by a younger actor like Chris Pratt! That, for many of us who grew up with Ford as Indy would just be unacceptable. Imagine my joy at the recent comments by Indiana Jones producer, Frank Marshall, who shared that a new actor to play Dr Jones is something that is not in the cards. While Mr. Marshall admits there could be several candidates that could play the part, his statement gives me hope that Ford as Indy will continue.

“[We’re] not doing the Bond thing where we’re going to call somebody else Indiana Jones… we have to figure this out.”

When it comes to changes, Hollywood is famous for bringing in younger actors to replaced the originals. Something many of us have a hard time with. But as the fifth installment of Indiana Jones appears to be a possibility, as Mr. Marshall and the team continues to “figure it out”, we can only hope it will be sooner than later.

Halloween is my favorite holiday, and as you know it’s fast approaching. Like most of you I love Disney as well as Universal, and I try to include my love of those into my Halloween decorations. What better way then with a Disney and Universal Themed carved pumpkin!

Most family’s have different traditions that may have been passed down from generations to generation, and one of my family’s favorite traditions is pumpkin carving. Each year we will have a regular traditional carved pumpkin using our own design as well as a few that have a little help from a stencil pattern. Of course my favorite stencil designs are Disney or Universal Themed!

They have all sorts of stencil patterns from Disney designs to the Horror designs. You can find several pattern books for sale each year at your local stores like Party City or Wal-Mart in the Halloween decor section.

You can also find several websites that have design stencils that you can download to your computer, and several can be downloaded for free. Some of the websites that I listed below offer both free designs as well as those you must purchase for a very small fee.

Pumpkin Masters: Great Pirate Skull for all those Pirates of the Caribbean fans.
Zombie Pumpkins: Several Disney & Universal Themed designs. This site is a pay site, and I have used them before. I love them!
Disney Family: They have a really cute Olaf design as well as several other Disney themed stencils.
Nick Jr.: Several of the Nick Jr Characters are listed.
Cartoon Jr.: Harry Potter fans will love this site. They have several Universal themed Character stencils too.
Better Homes And Gardens: Looking for more traditional pumpkin design then this is the site for you.

Not a fan of carving the pumpkin? Well no worries they have several really cute pumpkin design kits that require no cutting at all. They are like a Mr. Potato Head with arms and legs that you stick into the pumpkin as your design. You can also paint your design on your pumpkin.

First Round of Permits Filed for the Hollywood Studios Expansion

WDW Magic is reporting the first permits have been filed for much the anticipated Hollywood Studios Expansion. The permit is said to begin in Jan of 2016 and the finishing date is said to be Oct 2018.

The yellow areas are existing wetlands and that are going to be filled in and they will create new wetlands on the opposite side of World Drive which is indicated by the blue color.The permits do not indicate what is going in where but I am sure in time we will find out.

The second pictures shows a new Victory Way and Osceola Parkway and some new bridges in the parking lot area. It is being said that Hollywood Studios will see some huge changes. Possibly some parking garages.

I can’t wait for Toy Story Land. I think this new developments will make Hollywood Studios more than just a half a day park.

Are Magic Bands Coming to the Disney Cruise Line?

Hello Disney Cruisers! It is I, your sea-faring pal Anonymouse, with some rumors from the high sea to share with you today. Remember how a few weeks ago, I told you about how Disneyland was testing out Magic Bands on the West Coast? Well…a little birdie mentioned that the Disney Cruise Line might not be too far behind to install this fabulous technology onboard its four ships. How awesome would that be??? No more key cards to carry around and everything you need is right on your wrist.

The Disney Cruise Line has already rolled out a Magic Band system for the Oceaneer Club, so it doesn’t come as much surprise that the rest of the ship follows suit.

Meet The Characters of Zootopia

Walt Disney Animation Studios upcoming new film “Zootopia,” opens in theaters March 4, 2016. With a star studded cast, this film will have fans excited to meet the new characters. Here is a list of the actors and description of their character to let us get familiar with who is who and who works where. Do you see any bad guys yet? I do!!!

The lead role of First Bunny Officer Judy Hopps goes to Ginnifer Goodwin. The new kid on the force full of big, tough animals, she will have to prove herself to the other officers and her family.

Jason Bateman joins us as fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde who teams up with Officer Hopps for a case and I think I know what happens next!

For Shakira fans, we have the role of International superstar Gazelle. I can’t wait to see her perform!

Idris Elba is CHIEF BOGO, head of the Zootopia Police Department. A tough cape buffalo with 2,000 lbs of attitude, Bogo is reluctant to add Judy Hopps, Zootopia’s first bunny cop, to his squad of hardened rhinos, elephants and hippos.

J.K. Simmons lends his voice to MAYOR LEODORE LIONHEART, the noble leader of Zootopia, who coined the city’s mantra that Judy Hopps lives by: “In Zootopia, anyone can be anything.”

Nate Torrence is Zootopia Police Department’s most charming cheetah, BENJAMIN CLAWHAUSER. Clawhauser loves two things: pop star Gazelle and donuts. From his reception desk, he greets everyone with a warm smile and a helpful paw—covered in sprinkles.

Jenny Slate is ASSISTANT MAYOR BELLWETHER, a sweet sheep with a little voice and a lot of wool, who constantly finds herself under foot of the larger-than-life Mayor Lionheart.

Tommy Chong voices YAX THE YAK, the most enlightened, laid-back bovine in Zootopia. When Judy Hopps is on a case, Yax is full of revealing insights.

Octavia Spencer is MRS. OTTERTON, a desperate otter who turns to Officer Judy Hopps for help in solving her husband’s mysterious disappearance.

Bonnie Hunt provides the voice of BONNIE HOPPS, mother of Judy—and her 275 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Hopps loves and supports her daughter, but is not happy about Judy moving to Zootopia to become a big-city police officer.

Don Lake is STU HOPPS, a carrot farmer from Bunnyburrow and Judy’s father. Along with Mrs. Hopps, he is worried about Judy moving to Zootopia and the untrustworthy big-city mammals who live there—especially foxes.

Alan Tudyk as the voice of DUKE WEASELTON, a small-time weasel crook with a big-time weasel mouth, who tries to give Judy the slip during a police chase.

Tommy “Tiny” Lister voices FINNICK, a fennec fox with a big chip on his adorable shoulder.

Raymond Persi is FLASH, the fastest sloth working at the DMV—the Department of Mammal Vehicles.

Katie Lowes lends her voice to DR. MADGE HONEY BADGER, who heads up all of City Hall’s most pressing medical cases.

Jesse Corti is MANCHAS, a highly regarded chauffeur who works for the biggest—and shadiest—limo company in town.

and last but not least, John DiMaggio brings us JERRY JUMBEAUX JR., the easily annoyed owner of Jumbeaux’s Café, his elephant ice cream parlor.

New Musical Group Debuts in Morocco at Epcot

I love the World Showcase at Epcot. There are so many amazing dining options that give you a test of authentic food from other countries.
