To celebrate the extension of Disney Parks’ “Champions of the Community” sponsorship of the Orlando Magic and Amway Center, Mickey Mouse tied up his laces and had the opportunity to play hoops with several of his favorite Magic players.

“We are thrilled to have Disney Parks continue with us as one of our Champions of the Community partners,” said Orlando Magic CEO Alex Martins. “As a pillar in the Central Florida community, Disney has established a great legacy. We are so excited to have them remain a part of our team to continue building upon that legacy together. Our commitment to the Central Florida community will remain our focus, working towards the goal of becoming champions both on and off the court.”

With the sponsorship extension, Walt Disney World Resort will gain stronger visibility to showcase the Parks by enhancing its presence with digital and social media activations as well as signage and additional visibility within the Amway Center. The Disney Atrium will continue to immerse fans with an enhanced, interactive guest experience that allows for Disney video messaging to entertain fans.

Disney will also remain the Official Cruise Line and Official Theme Park of the Orlando Magic.

“Disney believes in Magic, and we’re thrilled to support the downtown venues that serve the community,” said Maribeth Bisienere, senior vice president of Disney Sports Enterprises and Disney Springs.  “This sponsorship extension serves as another example of our company’s efforts to help make dreams come true across Central Florida.”

The Amway Center, which is operated by the City of Orlando and owned by the Central Florida community, hosts major national events, concerts and family shows and is the home of the Orlando Magic.

In today’s Disney Finds this is more of a research article for me. I was looking at upgrading my luggage when I travel and was checking out some great Disney Matched Luggage sets. I am going to do a list of some of the items I found. While not every set is my cup of tea there might be something you like below.

The first set I found is the one featured above. Heys Disney Princess Aurora, Cinderella and Belle Hardside Expandable Spinner 3 Piece Luggage SetDisney Finds - Disney Luggage Sets. It runs $440 for all 3 pieces and is perfect for a wife or girlfriend but not really something I want to tote around the airport.

MMCH

Next I found another 3 piece set from Heys.  The Disney Clubhouse Hybrid 3 Piece Luggage Set is perfect for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Fans. While my youngest loved the look of these, my oldest wasn’t impressed.  Cost is around $440 for all three pieces and looked very durable.

Disney Finds - Disney Luggage Setstink

The set my oldest daughter liked was a 3 piece set with Tinkerbell on them. Heys Disney Fairies Fantasy 3 Piece Expandable Spinner Luggage SetDisney Finds - Disney Luggage Sets is $440 for all 3 pieces and I will be honest looks pretty cool.

But I really had a hard time finding a manly set I liked.

Mickey

I found this very stylish Mickey 2 Piece Luggage setDisney Finds - Disney Luggage SetsI have seen this set online for a while but feel it might be a bit out of my price range. At $490 I might have to keep looking for a set I like, good thing they are sold out… Maybe I will find a Star Wars Luggage or Tron set I like.

So do you have any Disney Luggage? Let me know in the comment box below.

Fandango, the nation’s leading moviegoer destination, surveyed more than a thousand film fans in October about which 2015 movie-inspired costumes they’ll be wearing this Halloween, and the results are in.

Katniss Everdeen from “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1” and the Stormtrooper gear from 2015’s most anticipated movie, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” won the top female and male adult costumes from this year’s movies. “Avengers” was chosen for the top adult group costume, while “Minions” was picked as the #1 kids’ team costume category, with Riley and her Emotions from Pixar’s “Inside Out” following closely behind.

“Disney’s diverse slate of 2015 blockbusters–including ‘Star Wars,’ ‘Avengers,’ and ‘Inside Out’–dominates our annual list of top Halloween costumes for men, women and children,” says Fandango Chief Correspondent Dave Karger. “Meanwhile, with the imminent release of the final ‘Hunger Games’ film, it’s no surprise that Katniss Everdeen is among the most popular female costumes for the fourth year in a row.”

A new month is almost here, and that means new Tsum Tsum collections! Coming November 03, 2015 is the Christmas Collection!

Tsum Tsum Christmas Wreath

The Japanese Disney Store has already announced their Christmas collection, and oh it can only be described as KAWAII!!!!!! Yup, it needs that many exclamation points. There’s an utterly adorable wreath adorned with Tsum Tsum “ornaments” of Mickey and friends. The individual Christmas Tsum Tsums are also available in the mini size, and include Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale. The Japanese Chrismtas Tsum Tsums are dressed in plaid, Pluto is IN a Christmas Stocking, and Chip & Dale are even dressed in Reindeer jammies, how cute is that? I might have to make an order from Disney Store Japan! (Again!)

Christmas Tsum Tsum NA

Now for the North American and Europe Christmas Collection! This year’s Christmas Tsum Tsum theme is very Victorian Christmas looking to me. We have the same assortment of characters as the Japanese collection, these however have a more vintage feel to them. There’s deep velvety reds, and traditional “Christmas Green” accents, as well as super cute accessories on each lil mini. The boys are all sporting Hats, and the girls have stylish little bows, but the accessory I’m most loving, is Pluto’s tiny sweet candy cane!! There has already been a few sightings of the Christmas Tsum Tsum collection, and it looks like it’s being sold in a box set of all 8. Last year the Christmas Tsum Tsums went fast, so I would scoop these up in your stockings quick if you love them as much as I do.

In addition to the Christmas Collection, there will be a few more Tsum Tsum goodies releasing. A new MEGA size Tsum Tsum which has already started appearing in Disney Stores around North America, and comes in Mickey and Minnie versions. If gigantic Tsum Tsums aren’t awesome enough, 2 new collections will arrive for Tsum Tsum Tuesday on November 3, 2015. The Peter Pan collection will be be individual Mini Tsums featuring Peter Pan, Wendy, Michael, John, Nana, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee Tinkerbell, Tick Tock Croc, and even Tiger Lilly! The second collection will be a set inside of a Basket like the Winnie the Pooh Bumble Bee. This gift set will be from the Frozen Fever short, with a totally adorbs Olaf gift basket! Snuggled inside the Olaf basket will be Frozen Fever themed Anna & Elsa, Sven with a carrot, and last but not least by any means… A SNOWGIE!! Yes, a Snowgie Tsum Tsum!

Tom Hanks as Woody (“Saving Mr. Banks,” “Captain Phillips”), Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear (“Toy Story,” “The Santa Clause”), Kristen Schaal as Trixie (“Toy Story 3,” “The Muppets”), Kevin McKidd as Reptillus Maximus (“Brave,” TV’s “Grey’s Anatomy”), Wallace Shawn as Rex (“The Princess Bride,” “Air Buddies”), Timothy Dalton as Mr. Pricklepants (“Toy Story 3,” TV’s “Penny Dreadful”), Don Rickles as Mr. Potato Head (“Toy Story”), Joan Cusack as Jessie (“Toy Story,” “The End of the Tour”)

I love anything and everything Toy Story. So naturally I love Toy Story That Time Forgot. My favorite character is Angel Kitty. She is so cute and her random, yet perfectly timed, profound comment to make the situation just a bit better. Does anyone agree that Angel Kitty needs a bigger role at some point? All of the toys are so cute in their own way and the play well together, most of the time! I must say Mason’s toys are pretty impressive. I love Bonnie’s imagination she includes all the toys in her play time.

Bonus Features:

  • Battlesaurs Animated Opening: If the show were a real cartoon this would be it’s opening. As soon as I saw the opening it made me think of Saturday morning cartoons in the 80’s.
  • Toy Story Goes to Comic Con: Steve Purcell, director of Toy Story, goes to Comic Con. He is a Comic Con veteran, I had no idea. I also had no idea that Comic Con has been around for so long. Fun fact: The woman who does the voice of Trixie really does talk like her.
  • Reptillus: He is the “Cool Kid” of Mason’s toys. I do love how they give the toys/characters a back-story. Do you think Reptillus is handsome Dinosaur?
  • Deleted Scenes: There are quite a few deleted scenes. I think they should have been included, they were all cute.

There are more bonus scenes but these are few of my favorites.

Toy Story That Time Forgot will be released Nov 3, 2015

I give this movie an A

Top 5 rookie mistakes when visiting a Disney Theme Park

Whether you are first timers, last minute planners or just too busy, don’t make some simple rookie mistakes! Visiting Disney is one of the most exciting times. Like ever. Every time. There is so much planning that goes into it. So much to do, pack, remember, save, plan. It’s exhausting just thinking about it. Sometimes we don’t think about the smaller details. So let me help you!

5 mistakes you don’t want to make at a Disney theme park!

  1. Weather preparation- Know the weather. Look at a forecast. Granted, weather is quite unpredictable and it could be a 20% chance of rain and downpour. Either way, be prepared! Going during the summer, sunscreen will be your best friend. Nothing worse than being fried (or worse- your children!) the first day of vacation. Or if there is chances of rain during the week, by a poncho ahead of time and save some money. This way you aren’t stuck in the rain paying a fortune for a poncho at a park! Or sitting there soaked. Although it is fun to play in the rain, and no place better to be than Disney, it could put a damper on your trip. No pun intended!
  2. Footwear- You are going to Disney. Who are you kidding? You are going to be doing a lot of walking. Finding the right pair of shoes for you is very important. Sneakers are best and you can even get fitting for the right shoe for you at most athletic shoe stores. Walking with a limp or making silly faces while trying to hide the pain of that blister is no way to relish in the magical atmosphere. Those adorable shoes that you might of outgrown just a little is just asking for trouble. Trust me, at Disney there is too much to do to be held up because you didn’t wear the right footwear.
  3. Fast Pass or Fast Pass+- Regardless of what coast you are on, Lock in your FP+ early or go to a FP distribution at DL. Enjoying a few attractions at no wait is awesome. Some of those wait can get pretty long, and some times you just don’t have time for that! Take advantage of the Fast Pass (+) system that Disney offers for free!
  4. Hours- Plan accordingly and know the Park hours and hours of special attractions. Don’t miss your favorite parade, or that show that makes you cry tears of joy! If there are Extra Magic Hours, maybe you want to take advantage of that. If you’re not staying on property, know that time isn’t an option for you. Want to go to Rope Drop, know to be there at least 20-30 minutes prior to park opening. There is a lot more you can do when avoiding peak hours. Go early or close it down and plan the middle of the day to rest, play at the pool or enjoy a Character Dining.
  5. Rest- After all the walking around, excitement and long hours, you need to rest at some point. You don’t want to full on crash, or have to cancel a fun night, miss a FP or get charged for missing a Dining reservation cause you just couldn’t hang. Even if it’s just half a day. Or an early night to get some extra sleep. Depending on the length of your trip, I suggest a “rest day”. Take a day in the middle or towards the end of your trip to unwind. Actually get some relaxation time in. Hang out by the pool, nap, take some time to appreciate your resort and what it offers and enjoy an evening at the new Disney Springs (DTD). It will recharge you and you will be right back at it to finish off your vacation strong!

There is so much to do at the wonderful world/land of Disney, you don’t want to miss a second of it! Follow from others rookie mistakes and avoid these to ensure you have the best time. Ever.

You probably know that Robert Downey Jr is better known as Iron Man these days. He went out of his way to cheer up Daniel, who is a young fan suffering from Cystic Fibrosis. He had a really rough day at school, another kid told him all kids that CF die. Daniel’s mom posted this picture to Instagram.

So Iron Man himself posted an amazing response. He dressed up as Tigger and posted it on Instagram in response to Daniel’s mothers post. Check it out:

CF 1

But it does not end there, he is also invited Daniel to the L.A. premiere of Captain America: Civil War as his guest. Of course Daniel’s mom was so excited and reported that Daniel is is getting fitted for a tuxedo to feel “like a real star”.

CF 2

How awesome is that? We hope Daniel makes it to the premiere and meets his idol, so he can feel like the star that he is.
