Spyder and Disney Bring Marvel Super Hero Inspired Style To US Ski Team

Spyder, a leading ski and performance brand, today announced a two-year collaboration with Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media for an action-packed line of ski performance products inspired by iconic Marvel Super Heroes.

At the FIS Alpine World Cup Championship in St. Moritz, the U.S. Ski Team members will be outfitted in race suits donning Marvel’s Captain America and Captain Marvel, two iconic Super Heroes that embody the strength and amazing abilities demonstrated by both elite athletes and Marvel’s Super Heroes. U.S. Ski team athletes who will be wearing the race suits include World Cup Skier Jared Goldberg, Four-time Olympic Medalist Julia Mancuso, and Olympic Gold Medalist Mikaela Shiffrin.

The collaboration consists of performance race suits and skiwear that will be worn by the men and women of the U.S. Ski Team, who will premiere the line at the Alpine World Cup Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland on February 6-19, 2017. The full apparel performance collection is set to make its retail debut in Fall 2017. More information on the exclusive collection will be released in the coming months.

Disneyland Annual Passholders are Invited to Preview the Beauty and the Beast Sneak Peek Tonight

Disneyland Annual Passholders are invited tonight, February 9, to be among the first to view the extended sneak peek of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Stop by the Sunset Showcase Theater in Disney California Adventure Park from 4pm – 8pm this evening to see the special preview of scenes before the film opens in theaters on March 17. Valid AP and theme park admission required. No reservations are required and seating is limited.

The 8 minute sneak peek features an advance look at a scene from the film, along with a display showcasing a collection of props and costume pieces used in the film’s production. It will run from February 10 through March 26 at the Sunset Showcase Theater at Disney California Adventure Park and One Man’s Dream at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Disney California Adventure Park celebrates Black History Month along with the spirit and history of gospel music with “Celebrate Gospel” on Saturday, February 18, 2017. “Celebrate Gospel” features live musical entertainment that includes more than a dozen guest choirs and is in its eighth year at the Disneyland Resort.

Performances will take place at Stage 17 in Hollywood Land between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., and are included with theme park admission. Come by and sing along with the following groups, all in one place!

Disney UK Teams Up With Westfield Shopping Centers for Star Wars Fashion Campaign and Disney-themed Play Areas

For all of you Mouse fans across the pond, Disney has recently announced a collaboration between Disney UK and Westfield Shopping Centres in London and Stratford to bring a bit of Star Wars and Disney magic to both locations.

The collaboration will start with a Star Wars inspired fashion campaign that will feature much-loved Star Wars characters alongside the biggest fashion trends of the season.

In addition, both centres will be unveiling Disney themed play areas and family rooms. The first phase of this development are specially designed Winnie the Pooh and Friends themed family rooms. The Summer will also see two Mickey Mouse-themed play zones open (one in each centre) as well as a Frozen-themed play zone that will debut in Stratford City this Autumn.

“Pup Star” Premieres On Disney Channel

Air Bud Entertainment newest film, “Pup Star”, will air for the first time on broadcast television on Disney Channel, Friday, February 17 (8:30 p.m. ET/PT). From the franchise of the well loved ‘Air Bud’ and ‘Disney Air Buddies’ movies, “Pup Star” is a dog-filled spin on America’s hit TV singing competitions, loaded with music, including 13 original songs, and the biggest cast of talking (and singing) canines ever assembled.

“Pup Star” follows an adorable Yorkie pup, Tiny (voiced by Kaitlyn Maher, America’s Got Talent), who finds herself on an action-packed cross-country journey to compete in the ultimate singing competition for dogs — Pup Star. Featuring an all-star celebrity judging panel including ‘Dog Gnarly’ (voiced by Ziggy Marley), ‘Blake Sheltie,’ ‘Lady Paw Paw’ and a loveable but always disagreeable ‘Simon Growl,’ “Pup Star” showcases canine contestants including P-Diggy (voiced by Juicy J) and the tall-hat wearing ‘Furrell.’

“Pup Star” also stars Makenzie Moss (Steve Jobs), Jed Rees (Deadpool), David DeLuise (Wizards of Waverly Place), John Ratzenberger, Tom Everett Scott, Bonnie Somerville, Nikki Blonsky and Diedrich Bader. It’s directed and executive produced by Robert Vince. Anna McRoberts produced and co-wrote the film with Robert Vince.

The second film in the franchise, “Pup Star: Season Two”, is in production for a fall 2017 release. Air Bud Entertainment movies are available on Netflix and digital platforms including iTunes, Amazon and Google Play.

Wishes Being Replaced by ‘Happily Ever After’ Nighttime Spectacular

Wishes will be closing later this spring to make way for the all new “Happily Ever After” nighttime spectacular. This new evening offering will combine the magic of Disney storytelling beloved Disney characters and fireworks and will make its debut at Magic Kingdom theme park on May 12, 2017.

The spectacular will inspire guests to seek out and find their own “Happily Ever After” by showcasing some of the greatest adventures Disney characters have taken to achieve their dreams. The show will feature the latest fireworks and pyrotechnics, original animation, and a heart-tugging original score. And thanks to the inclusion of state-of-the-art projection mapping technology, more Disney characters than ever before will be featured in the show, including moments from “Moana,” “Brave,” “Big Hero 6,” “Zootopia,” “The Princess & The Frog,” “Aladdin” and many others.

In case you missed the news Rivers of Light is opening on February 17th and to go along with the news Disney is also offering us all new Rivers of Light Dining Packages!

Under the package guests can indulge in a mouthwatering meal and score premium seats to the riveting Rivers of Light show!

Pick your pleasure! Enjoy a delicious feast at one of two participating restaurants in Disney’s Animal Kingdom park and experience the beauty of this dazzling light and water show celebrating the magic of nature.

Included in Each Rivers of Light Dining Package:

An entree plus a non-alcoholic beverage
Premium seating for a Rivers of Light performance

Tusker House Restaurant – Graze on a bountiful buffet brimming with African flavors at Tusker House Restaurant located in Harambe Market. The dining package is available to book for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Costs are $39.00 per adult and $23.00 per child for breakfast and $52.00 per adult and $32 per child for lunch and dinner. The Rivers of Light Dining Package at Tusker House will take up one table service credit for those on the Disney Dining Plan. Guests should also be advised that they must arrive to dine no later than 2 hours and 3o minutes before the Rivers of Light performance to qualify for the package.

Tiffins – Savor your choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert from at Animal Kingdom’s only Signature/Fine Dining location. Tiffins is offering the Rivers of Light Dining Package for both lunch and dinner with prices at $67 per adult and $26 per child. For those on a Disney Dining Plan, booking the dining package at Tiffins will set guests back 2 dining credits. Also, please note that guests must arrive to dine no later than 3 hours prior to showtime to qualify for the Rivers of Light tickets.

The costs outlined in both packages excludes taxes, gratuity and alcohol. A valid Animal Kingdom theme park ticket is required. The preferred viewing section for Rivers of Light is separate from the dining location. At your meal, your server will provide you with dining package tickets that will allow you to gain access to the special seating area.

Demand for both packages is expected to be high so advanced booking is highly recommended and can be made up to 180 days before your visit.

Rivers of Light will officially open on February 17th!

According to the Disney website Rivers of Light will officially open on February 17th, 2017 in the Animal Kingdom!

Showtimes are being reported at 7:15pm every other day till March then the times get moved back to 8:45pm time slot.

As an added bonus in the month of April it looks like there will be 2 nightly shows at 8:30pm and 9:45pm!

Shanghai Disneyland ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Attraction Receives Industry Award

As the newest of the Disney Resorts, Shanghai Disneyland is home to some wonderfully innovative and immersive experiences for guests; Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure being one of them.

It’s no surprise that Disney announced today that yesterday the Visual Effects Society (VES) announced the winners of their annual VES Awards, honoring outstanding visual effects in motion pictures, television and other media. Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure won the award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Special Venue Project.

Disney describes the attraction as “an all-new, innovative ride experience developed specifically for Shanghai Disneyland. The spectacle experienced on the ride is on a grand scale and involves technology that has never been used before in a theme park attraction. It includes a highly advanced propulsion system that provides unprecedented control over the position and rotation of boats carrying guests through large, dimensional set pieces combined with large-scale media screens. Integrating media produced in collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering and Industrial Light & Magic with advanced animated figures and newly developed special effects creates a highly immersive experience.”
