Mickey Mouse is bringing smiles to young faces with the Disney Ultimate Toy Drive, delivering toys to children in need. You can follow along with Mickey’s journey as he travels around the world delivering the toys.
Shanghai Disney Resort The busy mouse just had to stop by Shanghai Disney Resort, so he sent Minnie a quick message that he was stopping for another heartwarming event – this time, at a Chinese New Year gift wrapping event.
Mickey teamed up with Disney VoluntEARS, Disney Ambassadors Alice Wang and Wendy Feng, and Shanghai Disney Resort cast members to pack themed toys and prepare holiday greeting cards. On the first day of Chinese New Year, these gifts and greeting cards from Mickey and the Disney VoluntEARS will be delivered to over 900 inpatient children at Fudan Children’s Hospital who will be unable to spend the holiday with their loved ones at home.
Hong Kong Disneyland Disney VoluntEARS, executives, and Hong Kong Disneyland’s Disney Ambassadors Beyan Tse and Gisele Abejero, came together with Mickey to bring holiday happiness to children from underserved communities in Hong Kong. In collaboration with The Salvation Army Hong Kong and Macau, Mickey gathered with around 70 Disney VoluntEARS to pack thousands of Disney toys, creating personalized Christmas gift bags with items from each child’s wish list.
The Disney VoluntEARS spent time playing and interacting with the children before Mickey joined in the festive fun, bringing laughter and holiday happiness to all. To make the experience even more unforgettable, each child received their specially prepared gift bags from the Disney VoluntEARS themselves.
Disneyland Paris After being greeted in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle by Disneyland Paris Disney Ambassadors José Alfaro Navarro and Dylan Legras, Mickey joined hundreds of Disney VoluntEARS with their families to wrap thousands of Christmas gifts destined for 60 hospitals across France. Mickey then accompanied the Disney VoluntEARS to distribute the gifts to hospitalized children at the Parisian Hospital Trousseau.
Every year, this heartwarming Christmas tradition is not-to-be-missed by Disney VoluntEARS and their families, which brings happy Christmas moments to children in need. This year, over 7,000 gifts were wrapped for delivery to hospitals all over France.
Nassau, Bahamas
Before making his way to Walt Disney World, Mickey received an invitation to set sail aboard the Disney Wish cruise ship to The Bahamas. Of course, Mickey was overjoyed! He visited Disney VoluntEARS from the Disney Wish to surprise students and families at a primary school in Nassau. Here, the students received new books from Disney Publishing Group and lots of Disney plush toys before taking photos with Mickey.
