Disney Extends Refurbishment for Dinosaur in the Animal Kingdom

DINOSAUR, the headlining attraction at Animal Kingdom’s Dinoland U.S.A was expected to re-open next week after a refurbishment that started this past July (2016).

However, visitors are being notified this week that Fastpasses already pre-booked for DINOSAUR are being reallocated to other attractions like Expedition Everest, suggesting the ride will not re-open as planned.

Though Disney has not released official word on the progress of the refurbishment, or how long the ride is due to be closed, visitors that have already booked their Fastpasses for as late as mid-November are having their Fastpasses switched.

When it comes to refurbishments it can be very changeable so guests are advised to check back for the latest updates.

Animal Kingdom Testing Second Guest Relations Location

If you’ve ever needed to visit Guest Relations at a Disney park on a busy day, you know the wait can be very long and frustrating, which is something Disney does not want for its guests. They want to be able to help you straighten out your park issues quickly and efficiently, so it’s very exciting news that we hear from WDW News Today that Animal Kingdom is currently testing a second Guest Relations location to help ease up the congestion at the original location.

The new test location is adjacent to the entrance of the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction, and will be running until Nov. 5th. The main Guest Relations is still located at the very front of the park in the Oasis.

Garden View Champagne and Wine Lounge to open at The Grand Floridian for Limited Time

If you enjoy having a cocktail or some wine after a long day at the parks, then you’ll be pleased to hear that a new wine and champagne/small bites location is opening up inside of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort for a limited-time engagement.

Garden View Champagne and Wine Lounge will be open nightly from 7pm-10pm starting October 13th, and lasting through December 2016, for the time being. Our friends at WDW News Today tell us that there will be small plate offerings such as caviar, charcuterie, and seafood, and that currently reservations are not available, and that seating and availability will be based on a first come, first serve basis. If this new lounge becomes a permanent fixture, or the reservation availability changes, we’ll be sure to keep you posted!

Disney Find- Marvelous Mickey and Minnie Mouse Dresses

I think it’s obvious by now, that I might have an obsession with Disney themed items and merchandise. Today’s Disney Find was also inspired by me looking for ideas for DisneyBounding. When I found these marvelous Mickey and Minnie Mouse Dresses from TheGypsyGeek, I knew I had found the perfect item for Disneybounding as either of my favorite mice.

The only way to describe these dresses is well, perfectly Mickey and Minnie! They are totally ideal for a day of Disneybounding at the Disney Parks, or simply going out and about. Comfortable and fun, they have a beautiful full circle skirt that is flirty and flowy and falls to around the knee(can be made longer or shorter). The Mickey dress is crafted with black, red and yellow cotton-spandex knits. Front is adorned with two big white buttons and a yellow bow! If the bow isn’t your style, the designer will happily leave it off by request. The Minnie dress is made in the same style, but has a polka dotted red skirt, with matching bow on the waist.

These dresses are completely customizable, you can also choose different sleeve lengths! I think these are an adorable choice for Disneybounding, or even just a fun casual Disney day. The Mickey Dress, is probably the most fun Mickey clothing inspiration inspiration I’ve ever seen.

If the infamous mouse couple isn’t your choice, there are also a few other character variations to choose from as well. I won’t lie, the Donald Duck inspired dress is also calling my name!

‘Disney Junior at the Movies’ be the First to See the New Series Mickey and the Roadster Racers, in theaters for One Day

“Oh Boy!” Mickey Mouse is having a big celebration – on the big screen with Disney Junior at the Movies! Kids and parents will celebrate Mickey’s birthday during this one-day interactive cinema event, where they will be invited to jump up and sing, dance and play along with some of Disney Junior’s most-loved shows and characters, including Elena of Avalor, Miles from Tomorrowland, Doc McStuffins, The Lion Guard, Sofia the First and more.

In addition, fans young and old are invited to be among the first to see the upcoming series Mickey and the Roadster Racers on the big screen before its television debut in January 2017. Attendees will also receive a $5 offer to the Disney Stores and a free e-book download, as well as other giveaways.

This special one-day event, “Disney Junior at the Movies – Mickey’s BIG Celebration,” will screen in cinemas nationwide on Saturday, November 12 at 10:00a.m. local time, from Fathom Events and Disney Junior.

Tickets for “Disney Junior at the Movies – Mickey’s BIG Celebration” can be purchased beginning Friday, October 14, 2016 online by visiting www.FathomEvents.com or at participating theater box offices. Fans throughout the U.S. will be able to enjoy the event in more than 450 select movie theaters through Fathom’s Digital Broadcast Network. Bomb threat at Legoland Florida

Legoland Florida, located in Winter Haven, FL was evacuated today due to a bomb threat. Guests were being removed from both the theme park and the resort.

There are not many details given yet however LegoLand officials did say in a statement;

“Earlier today, a bomb threat was discovered on our property. We have evacuated the theme park and the hotel for the safety and security of our guests and employees, which remains our No. 1 priority. We are working closely with Winter Haven Police Department to assess the validity of the threat,”

This was posted on their Twitter account.

The Wild Life Arrives on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, and On Demand November 29

Is Disney getting rid of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Fireworks Show in Hollywood Studios?

While I was in Disney World this past week I noticed that Disney started scaling back the number of showings of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Fireworks Show. Right now they are on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday till November 7th then they are completely gone from the schedule.

There has been no news if Disney is getting rid of them completely but they are gone from the Disney World website and app.

I really enjoyed the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks show, especially the dessert party I was able to attend last month!

Notice how there is no more Star Wars Dessert Parties past November 5th…

Being a Star Wars fan I think this Firework Show was almost as good as Wishes.

Florida’s First responders can save on La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil Tickets

In a move that we’re sure emergency responders will appreciate, Disney has announced a new discount for the men and women who help keep Florida safe.

As a thank you to those who keep Florida safe, La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil is offering first responders (Florida police, firefighters and emergency medical service personnel) tickets at 39 percent savings on Category 2 tickets for themselves and up to five (5) guests per show. With the discount, tickets for first responders are $49.

Florida first responders can visit the La Nouba box office to take advantage of the savings. Offer is valid for Category 2 tickets. Florida emergency responder personnel ID required. The first responder offer is available for sale now for shows running through Dec. 16.

Sweet & Spicy Chicken Waffle Returns to Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in the Magic Kingdom

The Sweet & Spicy Chicken Waffle has returned to Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in the Magic Kingdom! It disappeared a few months ago for no reason and now due to popular demand it is back again with a $3 price increase! Not Happy…

If the Sweet & Spicy Chicken Waffle is not your thing I recommend checking out the Nutella and Fresh Fruit waffle instead (see photo above). This is a great grab and go breakfast at the Magic Kingdom and I have been known to stop for breakfast and lunch at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments just for these 2 waffles!

There is also a Sausage and Cheddar stuffed pretzel I need to check out the next time I am in the Magic Kingdom.

Are you glad to see the return? I am not going to ask about the price increase cause honestly who would be happy about that?
