Our final collection of our Top 5 favorite costumes has come! Halloween will be here in less than 2 weeks, so if you haven’t gotten your costume now, it’s definetly time! Today we check out our Top 5 Disney Costumes for Women this Halloween season.

5. Jyn Erso

Last year, Rey was all the Star Wars rage, this year we have another strong female character playing an important role in the Star Wars stories, Jyn Erso! The first of the Star Wars standalone films, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

4. Snow White

Snow White is the original Disney Princess, so her costume is a timeless classic that is never outdated. The great thing about Snow White, is that her color motif is so iconic, that you can easily put together pieces for a Disneybound costume too!

3. Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland is another popular favorite. The thing about the Alice costume, is that it’s SO popular there are tons of variety for it. However not many of those variations hold the whimsical innocence of our beloved Alice. This one is one of my favorites, because it embodies that classic look.

2. Minnie Mouse

Minnie Mouse is about as classic and iconic as it gets. I love this Pink retro take for this costume.

1. Belle

With all the hype surrounding the 25th anniversary, and the new live action Beauty and the Beast movie coming out, Belle is sure to be a popular choice. Belle also happens to have one of the most exquisite dresses if you ask me too.

New Star Wars Merchandise coming to Disney this fall

These are the droids you are looking for!

Disney Parks have released some all new Star Wars Merchandise coming to the parks this fall!

Here are some of the items featured on the Disney Parks Blog today!

Starting at the top is the Imperial Comlink Bluetooth Communicator. A comlink is a standard handheld communication device used by the Empire. You might recall seeing it used inStar Wars: Episode IV A New Hope when Luke Skywalker communicates from the trash compactor with C-3PO.

This Bluetooth enabled device allows you to take calls and play music when connected to your smart device. It’s rechargeable and comes with a belt clip.

Arriving in mid-December, guests will find a new remote controlled Mouse Droid. You may also recall seeing this droid in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope when Chewbacca roars at one while on the Death Star. This remote control droid makes sounds and includes rechargeable batteries.

On October 17, we will release three new Dooney & Bourke handbags inspired by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Look for these handbags in The Star Trader at Disneyland park in California or Legends of Hollywood at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida.

Fans of Star Wars Droid Factory at Disney Parks will find two new carded Astromech droid action figures this fall. The R2-B00 figure is currently available, while the R2-H16 droid will be released during the upcoming holiday season.

Some very cute R2D2 & BB-8 blankets are coming our way soon.

Coming soon to the Disney Parks online store, Disney is releasing the second collection of Ewok plush. This collection of six plush includes a variant Wicket, Tokkat, Latara, Widdle, Shodu and Winda. The basket will also have Kaink who will also be released individually at Disney Parks in December.

Finally, the Starspeeder 1000 playset will return this holiday season. You may recall Disney first introduced this playset in 2011. This playset has been updated with a new interchangeable destination disk featuring Jakku from Star Wars The Force Awakens. When placed in the front screen of the toy vehicle, you can hear dialogue from the Star Tours – The Adventures Continue attraction.

Look for these items in select merchandise locations at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort. Guests may also find items using the Shop Disney Parks app.

Gasparilla Island Grill to close for Refubishment

Guests staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort will want to know that as of yesterday, the Gasparilla Island Grill is closed for refurbisment. The refurbishment is set to last until Mid December, but if we get more specifics on the re-opening date we’ll be sure to let you know.

In the meantime, guests at the resort will be able to purchase grab n go items at Mizner’s starting at 7am. Mizner’s will also return to its regular menu from 6pm till midnight.

The Beaches Pool Bar and Grill will be open from 6AM until 9PM during this refurbishment period, and The Grand Floridian Cafe will also offer a “To Go” menu during the refurbishment. The resort is certainly doing its best at accommodating guests during this lengthy closure.

Supernova Shakes to appear on Planet Hollywood Observatory Menu in Disney Springs

If you follow the Facebook Page for Planet Hollywood Observatory at Disney Springs, then you have seen their recent posts about some new over the top milkshakes that will be available when the restaurant re-opens after it’s lengthy refurbishment.

The new shakes have appropriately been named Supernova Shakes, and boy do they look like they live up to their name!

Robert Earl & Guy Fieri have joined forces to introduce a flavor-packed burger and sandwich menu as part of their larger menu offerings for the transformed Orlando flagship location, set to reopen this fall. Looking at the construction I believe this date might be pushed back to spring of 2017.

Repeatedly at the forefront of industry trends, Robert Earl, the entrepreneur, restaurateur and star of the Cooking Channel’s “Robert Earl’s Be My Guest,” reached out to Fieri because of their shared passion for food. In addition to the section designed by Fieri, the Planet Hollywood Observatory will soon reveal the entire new menu featuring a wide variety of offerings and bold flavors.

“Guy Fieri has created an impressive culinary empire and has built an incredible TV following with several food-themed shows, so it was a no-brainer to invite him to create a special menu for Planet Hollywood Observatory. This partnership only furthers our commitment to refresh our guest experience while continuing to offer freshly-prepared, pleasing dishes,” said Planet Hollywood International Founder and Chairman Robert Earl.

Fieri, a chef, entrepreneur and New York Times bestselling author, has brought his signature blend of authentic-meets-surprising flavors to new dishes such as the Prime Time American Kobe-Inspired Burger and the Turkey Pic-a-nic Sandwich, a perfect accompaniment to Planet Hollywood’s creamy hand-dipped milkshakes. The menu will also feature new over-the-top creations that will have guests craving more after the first bite.

5. Sergeant Jyn Erso Costume

With the release of the newest Star Wars film approaching this winter, heroic girls everywhere are looking to step into the role of Sergeant Jyn Erso. Your young girl will be ready to face the might of the Galactic Empire with this detailed costume. Inspired by the rebel’s outfit in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, it’ll bring out their heroic character.

4. Judy Hopps Costume

Zootopia was an incredible movie, that told a great story. I was surprised I didn’t see more out there for Judy Hopps, most of them had uncomfortable looking masks, that I didn’t think most kids would enjoy. This one looks fantastic though! Zootopia is definetly a favorite at my kid’s school right now too!

3. Elena of Avalor Costume

Elena of Avalor has taken the Disney Princess loving world by storm! This spin off series from Sofia the First has been a flurry of excitement, with fans everywhere in love! She’s even become a character meet n greet at the Disney Parks already! This Elena of Avalor flamenco-inspired signature dress is an extravaganza of red satin with glitter detailing.

2. Belle Costume

With the re-release of Beauty and the Beast for the 25th anniversary, and the new live action film debuting soon, Belle is a beautiful Halloween choice! A long favorite of little girls everywhere, she seems to be getting an even bigger renewed Spark this year.

1. Moana Costume

Your brave explorer will love setting out on adventures as the newest Disney Princess, Moana. Inspired by her outfit in the film, this island-style ensemble is crafted especially for a master wayfinder.

Haunted Mansion Refurbishment Extended

When Disney first announced that the Haunted Mansion was going to be undergoing refurbishment later this Fall, they stated it would be closed from November 28th- December 1st.

Now Disney has the refurbishment listed as lasting until December 4th, with the ride re-opening to guests on December 5th. If you have a FastPass for these dates you may be receiving an email from Disney to let you know that your Fastpass has been cancelled.

New Character Interactions and Youth Activities Aboard the Disney Wonder

The Disney Wonder is currently in dry dock until October 23rd at which time new enhancements and experiences will come to life aboard the ship. Imaginative new spaces and character interactions await your children at the Oceaneer Club where young cruisers will be transported to the world of brave super heroes, endearing princesses and larger than life toys.

Frozen Adventures : A Royal Frozen Coronation with Anna and Elsa

It’s Coronation Day! To get ready, children learn the rules and responsibilities of royalty and make their own crown. Then they play a role in acting out a story set in Arendelle. Once the kids are truly prepared for their coronation, Anna and Elsa arrive to join the fun and lead the ceremony. The royal sisters spend time with each of the children, who all receive an official coronation certificate.

Marvel Super Hero Academy: Spider-Man’s Web-Warriors 101

Hosted by your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, this special training course teaches future Super Heroes to hone their reflexes, speed and minds – just like Spider-Man. Kids create their own masks, test their wits through “spider-sense” training and learn how to climb just like Spidey. After the training, Spider-Man declares the kids Web-Warriors.

Club Disney Junior: Sofia the First Magical Storytelling
This enchanting activity is hosted by some of Cedric the Sorcerer’s apprentices. The kids will design their own sorcerer hats and learn how to properly wave their wands and cast spells. To make the lesson even more fun, the kids act out one of Sofia’s adventures. In the end, Sofia appears to congratulate the children on their work and take a photo with them.

Andy’s Room: Woody’s Roundup
The adventures of “Toy Story” come to life for children when they enter the world of Woody with this cowboy-themed activity. With inspiration from “Woody’s Roundup” playing on the larger-than-life television screen, kids learn how to walk and talk like a cowboy before acting out an episode together. Next up, they learn how to line dance, just in time for Woody and Jessie to arrive and join everyone in a hoedown.

Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Extended Through November 12th

Disney updated their November theme park hours this morning and it looks like guests will have a few more opportunities to enjoy the Star Wars fireworks display at Hollywood Studios next month. Originally, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular was only scheduled through November 5th but according to the latest operating hours it has been extended until November 12th.

Below are the updated dates and showtimes in November:

November 2 at 8pm
November 4 at 8pm
November 5 at 8pm
November 7 at 6:45pm
November 9 at 6:45pm
November 11 at 8pm
November 12 at 8pm

The new holiday show Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will take its place beginning November 14th through December 31st. No official word yet if Stars Wars: A Galactic Spectacular will return after the holiday season although it is featured at the end of Disney’s latest “Walt Disney World: The Magic is Endless” commercial so fingers crossed!

New Disney Visa Photo Spot Location Now Open at Epcot

The new Disney Visa Photo Spot at Epcot is now open at the Imagination! Pavilion in Future World next to Journey Into Imagination with Figment. This new spot replaces the previous cardmember location in Innoventions West.

Disney Visa Cardmembers must present their Disney Visa Card in order to enter the exclusive event offered daily from 1pm to 7pm. Guests can meet and pose with some of their favorite Disney Characters and receive photo downloads.

Disneyland Paris to Celebrate 25th Anniversary With New Attractions, Shows and Parade

Guests heading across the pond to Disneyland Paris in the Spring of 2017 will be able to enjoy a range of new offerings in celebration of the park’s 25th Anniversary.

Here are just some of changes that will be unveiled starting on March 26th, 2017.

Disney Illuminations- This new nighttime spectacular will wow evening crowds with scenes from the live-action Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Little Mermaid.

“Disney Stars on Parade”- This brand new daily parade will celebrate in style with out-of-this-world floats costumes and music.

2 new stage shows- Shimmering Princess Waltz and Mickey Presents: “Happy Birthday Disneyland Paris” will run daily performances on the Royal Castle Stage.

Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain- Continuing to expand the Star Wars presence in the park this re-imagining of Space Mountain: Mission 2 will be opening in Spring of 2017.

Star Tours: The Adventures Continue – Will be re-introduced after a lengthy closure.

These are just a taste of what Disneyland Paris has in store for the year ahead. Watch this space for additions to this amazing celebratory line-up.
