It’s a new Disney season, so that means it’s time for new Mickey Ears! Of course with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starting, I’m crushing on Christmas Mickey Mouse Ears from MouseBands!

These new ears are just in time for the Christmas season, and come with beautiful fabrics and sparkly bows! MouseBands uses really lightweight materials, and very comfy headbands, so they’ve become some of my favorites. There’s many gorgeous fabrics that are completly full of Christmas and winter cheer! Exclusive Gingerbread House Workshop for D23 Members at Disneyland Resort

Tis the Season for amazing Christmas-themed events if you’re a D23 member in the California area. We announced yesterday that members have been invited to attend the tree lighting at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California on December 4th . Today D23 also released the news that Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen will be hosting a special Gingerbread House Workshop at its Downtown Disney location exclusively for D23 members on December 11th!

The gingerbread house crash-course is open exclusively to D23 Gold and Family Members. Two workshops will be offered on the 4th. The first will be held between 11.am – 1pm and the second from 2:30-4:30pm. The two hour workshop, hosted by Executive Chef Darrin Finkel will lead guests on a hands-on demonstration of how to assemble gingerbread houses. Then all guests are given an opportunity to decorating them with a wide array of Christmas candies, cookies and other goodies.

The event will be rounded out by a visit from Santa who will reportedly be carrying some special D23-inspired gifts in his sack!

The cost to attend the workshop is $42.00 (plus tax) and includes a gingerbread kit, candy, chef’s hat, jingle bells and unlimited soft drinks. Reservations can be made at 71.776.5200. Members will be asked to show a valid D23 membership card upon arrival.

Trim Your Disney Christmas Tree with a Dated Mickey Ornament

I have had the holiday tradition of getting a dated ornament for my Christmas tree ever since I was a little girl. As an adult, and parent I’ve continued this tradition even with my Disney themed tree. I have a feeling this 2016 Dated Mickey Ornament will probably be in the front running for the one I choose.

I’m pretty strict with the theming of my tree, everything MUST be Disney. Once my tree was full of pastels and adorned with princesses. When my son came along and started to have a say, it became a more classical feel, with candy apple reds, elf hat green, and gold. Mickey and the gang are the front running characters, but we have everyone from Darth Vader, to PIXAR pals, right down to a princess or 2 for mommy. I like the date to stand out, but I also prefer the ornament to also be in red or green too. This Hallmark ornament is a nice 3D blown glass, with a classic Mickey ears design.

Gonzo’s Royal Flush Now Open At Soon-To-Be PizzeRizzo

As you would expect, the new PizzeRizzo, set to open on November 18th, is already showing its Muppet style sense of humor. When you have a “Royal Flush,” you might think you have just won a hand of Poker; unless you are a Muppet of course. The recently opened restrooms, attached to PizzeRizzo, are sporting the name Gonzo’s Royal Flush. Can you imagine Gonzo owning, and operating, an executive used toilet showroom? Let the Muppet humor begin!

The restrooms are the same ones that existed in the days of Toy Story Pizza Planet. They have been updated and apparently are now owned by the ever-popular Gonzo. With the opening of PizzeRizzo pending just around the corner, it would appear that construction is moving along quite flushingly.

The main PizzeRizzo sign is now sitting proudly atop the restaurant. The lights are on under the covered patio and all the ceiling fans are installed. The Heckler water tower is painted and adds a pop of color to the furthest corner of the building.

PizzeRizzo will make its debut on November 18, 2016. We will be there to check it out and offer some feedback on the atmosphere, the food, and of course the Muppet humor that exists within. We are looking forward to seeing what has been done to the inside theme and decor of the former Toy Story Pizza Planet. Gonzo’s Royal Flush offers us a sneak-peek of what we can expect when PizzeRizzo opens.

Though the Halloween Season at Disney World only ended two days ago the holidays are already in full swing it would seem. Christmas decorations are starting to go up, the Jingle Cruise is delighting guests with it’s Yuletide charm and today Disney Parks Blog has given Disney fans an exclusive sneak peak of some of the amazing Christmas-themed merchandise that will be available as part of this years Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parties at the Magic Kingdom starting on November 7th.

Here’s a first look at Christmas merchandise that will have you singing “Deck the Halls” in no time:

New commemorative MagicBands have been created for the occasion and are the perfect accessory for those heading to the parks during November & December. The Bands come in a decorative box and are sure to be a collectors item with only 3,000 being made!

Long and Short Sleeve T-shirts- (pictured above)- Thinking about getting matching shirts for your holiday trip to Disney? You may want to wait and get the delightful Very Merry Christmas Party designs on offer. They come in a range of seasonal colors as well as long or short sleeve options. DVC members will also be able to purchase an exclusive party t-shirt designed especially for them!

Pins – Collectors hoping to add a pin or two to their collection this holiday season will not be disappointed with the amazing array of new pieces on offer. The limited edition hinge pins are bound to be a fan favorite and feature much-loved characters like Peter Pan, Elsa, Lilo, Stitch and Belle and Beast. With an edition size of only 5,300 you’ll definitely want to stock up while supplies last. There will also be a pin on offer that is exclusive to Annual Passholders, a jumbo-sized limited edition Mickey Mouse Christmas pin (edition size 1,000), and a box set containing several of the limited edition pins and a completer pin with WALL-E.

D23 Gold Members can Enjoy a Moonlight and Mistletoe Dinner at STK on December 13

D23 Gold and Gold Family Members are invited to a private Moonlight and Mistletoe Dinner at STK, the newly opened steakhouse restaurant at Disney Springs. The event will be held on Tuesday, December 13 from 7 p.m. until approximately 9 p.m., with check-in beginning at 6:45 p.m. The cost is $145 per person (plus a $5 processing fee). Attendees will be required to show their D23 membership card.

A ticketing link will be available on the D23 website beginning November 14th at 10 a.m. PT. Gold Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and one (1) guest. D23 Gold Family Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and up to three (3) guests. All attendees must be 21 years of age or older to attend this event.

D23 attendees will enjoy a three-course meal personally designed in the spirit of holiday gatherings. In addition, guests will receive a specially crafted holiday-inspired cocktail. Throughout the meal on the private outdoor patio, guests will have the opportunity to spend time with fellow Disney fans, as well honorary Disney luminaries and special guests.

In the spirit of the season, all attendees will receive an exclusive, one-of-a-kind set of historic Disney holiday cards, selected from the Walt Disney Archives.

‘A Frozen Holiday Wish’ Castle Lighting Returns to Magic Kingdom Park

Since 2007, Cinderella’s Castle has been set a glow each night of the Holiday season with a whimsical stage show. This year ‘A Frozen Holiday Wish’ returns to illuminate the castle with over 200,000 LED lights!

Beginning tonight, November 2nd Queen Elsa will use her incredible icy powers to present a gift to everyone in the kingdom! She will transform Cinderella’s Castle into a glimmering ice palace for the holidays. The castle was originally illuminated by the Fairy Godmother prior to 2014. It was Cinderella’s wish for how to decorate her palace. With the popularity of Frozen, Anna and Elsa took over the show on the Castle Forecourt Stage. This Special Holiday stage show also has some special appearances. The rugged Kristoff and lovable snowman Olaf also stop by for the fun. Beginning tonight at 7 PM guests of the Magic Kingdom can enjoy this Frozen treat!

Celebrate the magic of the Holidays at the D23 Disney Springs Holiday Celebration! On December 13, get a reserved seat for a Walt Disney World Holiday Services Q&A, shopping discounts and merchandise, yummy goodies, and a even some surprises!

Get ready to be transported to a winter wonderland as you sip a complimentary cup of hot cocoa and indulge in an exclusive sweet treat. Also enjoy shopping at various locations along the way. At the Q&A presentation, you will learn how an extraordinary team of Cast Members decorates four theme parks, more than a dozen resorts, Disney Springs, and more for the most wonderful time of the year!

Of course to top off the event guests will receive a D23 reusable souvenir mug and some additional ho-ho-holiday surprises!

This event is open to Gold, Gold Family, and General Members. Your experience will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will end at around 6:30 p.m. Check in will begin at 4:00pm, and there will be no check ins allowed before 4. “Doctor Strange”, Marvel Studios And Real-D Create Alternative Realities With Google Tilt Brush

In collaboration with RealD, Marvel Studios enlisted three of the world’s most talented Google Tilt Brush artists to take part in a global VR painting experiment inspired by Doctor Strange.

Artists Danny Bittman, Steve Teeple and Stuart Campbell hand-painted alternate realities spanning New York City, London and Hong Kong; cities that are essential to the film’s storyline. The artists traveled with their work, allowing fans in each of the cities to enter the alternate realities, exclusively in Tilt Brush by Google.
