Disney announced the launch of Moana Island Life today. It is a free-to-play mobile game that lets players create and build their perfect, custom island paradise with the help of beloved characters Moana, Maui, Pua and HeiHei. Inspired by the hit Walt Disney Animation Studios film, Moana, fans will be able to revisit Motunui and go on new adventures throughout Oceania to see vibrant, mythical islands.

Disney just released the character posters for the highly anticipated live-action “Beauty and the Beast”. Here is your first look, as well as the motion posters. It seems Disney is scaling back on Extra Evening Magic Hours at Hollywood Studios according to the Walt Disney World Calendar, leading many Disney Websites and Forums to speculate that they might be discontinued.
If you try to go on the Disney World website and look for Extra Evening Magic Hours at Hollywood Studios nothing shows up past February 24th, meanwhile the Early Morning Magic Hours are unaffected.
Does this mean no more late night Extra Magic Hours at Hollywood Studios? Or do you think Disney is working on a special paid after-hours ticketed event like they have done at the Magic Kingdom?
We already know the Disney is working on a special Star Wars ticketed event starting in April called Star Wars: Galactic Nights, is this lead up for the event? Or do you think Disney just needs longer hours to work on the Toy Story & Star Wars Land Expansions?
I guess we will find out…

In anticipation of Disneyland Paris’ 25th Anniversary celebration, Disneyland Paris has officially debuted Mickey and Minnie’s special outfits for the occasion.
The sparkly blue outfits do look very similar to the Disneyland 60th Diamond Anniversary outfits worn here in the states, but we still think the famous duo look amazing!
The 25th Anniversary Celebration at Disneyland Paris is set to begin March 26th, and there is much more in store for guests who plan to visit during the celebration!

One thing we love about special events at Disney World is the merchandise. As Annual Passholders, many of us are excited about the Passholder Exclusive merchandise. The 2017 Epcot International Festival of the Arts Annual Passholder merchandise consists of an inaugural year t-shirt.
We love the color of this inaugural year short-sleeved t-shirt as it works really well for men and women alike. The front of the Passholder t-shirt lists the event name and the inaugural year as well. The left sleeve features the word “PASSHOLDER” and a picture of Figment holding a paintbrush. Figment has his own Festival of the Arts Brush with the Masters Hunt around the World Showcase during this event.
When looking for Festival merchandise we were surprised to learn that the Passholder t-shirt is, in fact, the only Passholder exclusive item. We were hoping for a Festival of the Arts inaugural year pin and discovered that not only is there not a Passholder pin, there is no pin at all for the Festival. This was a bit sad as it is the inaugural year and therefore not something that can be repeated. Hopefully, the 2017 Epcot International Festival of the Arts will be a huge success and we will see a pin for this event in 2018. For now, we are very pleased with the Annual Passholder exclusive t-shirt.

Consider them the fab four of Bavarian Folk Music, newest Epcot imports Wies N Baum are now “wowing” crowds over at the Germany Pavilion with their contemporary take on classic Bavarian folk music.
Formed in 2015, “The Boys of Oktoberfest” began winning over Munich crowds with there authentic, unique and fresh arrangements and now Epcot audiences can witness their stylings first hand. Wies N Baum will be making appearances at the garden gazebo found in the Germany Pavilion at regular times throughout the day. The current schedule is: Visitors should consult the Times Guide upon arriving at Epcot for up-to-date information.

If you’ll be attending the Flower & Garden Festival this year from March 1st to May 29th, then you will be in for a treat! Disney has announced that there are some new experiences that guests will be able to enjoy at this year’s festival.
The most exciting is the introduction of 2 brand new topiaries: Belle and Figment. Belle will of course be on display in the France Pavilion with The Beast, and is described as coming to life with sculpted facial features and her yellow ball gown created with golden blooming Joseph’s Coat plants. Another festival first will be a 6-foot-tall topiary of Figment, the feisty dragon mascot of the park’s Imagination! pavilion, perched atop a 5-foot-diameter ball fashioned from yellow Joseph’s Coat.
The Snow White, Anna, and Elsa topiaries will also return this year.
The main entrance topiary this year will be inspired by a vintage Walt Disney short film, and will spring to life with a floral-festooned maypole featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Daisy and Pluto. Donald and Huey, Dewey, and Louie (along with Chip and Dale) will also return this year, located by Spaceship Earth.
The popular Garden Rocks concert series will expand to four days each week, with three concerts each Friday through Monday presenting pop musicians that span multiple genres over four decades. There will also be new Garden Rocks Dining Packages available on select days at a number of Epcot restaurants.
There will also be 2 new outdoor kitchens, though details on the menu items were not announced yet, so we will let you know when Disney announces that.
Reimagined interactive play gardens will include a new take on the “Cars”-themed garden introducing a new character topiary from the June 2017 release of the Disney•Pixar sequel, “Cars 3.”
Another important change this year is that for the first time, the event’s Festival Center will extend operating hours from Wednesday, March 1 through Sunday, March 5. Throughout the rest of the festival, the center will be open each Friday through Sunday with an entertaining mix of gardening seminars and DIY workshops.
Guests will also be able to experience special Earth Day activities and the Butterfly Garden will make its return as well!

Have you heard about Universal Studios Orlando new water theme park, Volcano Bay? Well earlier today it was announced the park will be opening its doors at the end of May!!!
Universal will be hosting special events starting May 22nd, and then Volcano Bay will have its grand opening celebration on May 25th.
Volcano Bay will be Pacific Island themed with four different themed areas and the park will combine thrill rides with lazy rivers and have something for the whole family. The different areas are The Volcano, Wave Village, River Village and Rainforest Village.
A TapuTapu wristband will be given to each park goer when they enter the park which will allow them to virtually wait in-line for an attraction while enjoying another one. There will be many “tap to play” experiences which will trigger super fun special effects around Volcano bay.

Mary Tyler Moore, the television icon who charmed America with her talent and charisma died in a Connecticut hospital, she was 80. Her longtime rep, Mara Buxbaum, issued a statement “Today, beloved icon, Mary Tyler Moore, passed away at the age of 80 in the company of friends and her loving husband of over 33 years, Dr. S. Robert Levine. A groundbreaking actress, producer, and passionate advocate for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Mary will be remembered as a fearless visionary who turned the world on with her smile.”
Mary became famous after starring on the “The Dick Van Dyke Show” from 1961 to 1966. She then pioneered her way to 7 successful seasons on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” from 1970 to 1977, this despited skeptics who viewed her show as destined to fail.
In 1986 she was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame, starred in well over 10 films and wrote 2 memoirs. She married 3 times, once forming power couple status when she married TV exec Grant Tinker in 1962. Her only son, Richard, from her first marriage to Richard Meeker died from an accidental gunshot in 1980.
Although she isn’t technically a Disney personality, she was represented in the Academy of Television courtyard Hall Of Fame in Hollywood Studios.
Her passing is felt by all and we will all miss her.
