Fountain View is a great place for a quick treat or speciality drink. This quick service location offers a variety of Starbucks Coffees and specialty beverages as well as an assortment of delicious pastry treats. As the name implies, you can find this shop located adjacent to the fountain in the center of Epcot’s Future World. Take a short break inside this air-conditioned location or enjoy limited outdoor seating facing the fountain.

Speciality cupcakes at Fountain View are priced at $4.99 – $5.19 each. Guests utilizing a Disney Dining plan may use 1 snack credit to secure this yummy treat.

One of my family’s favorite things to do at Disney is visit the characters! We love to have an autograph book with us to remember the moment with too. The regular ones at the parks really don’t change very often, so I’m always on the hunt for something different, like these delightful Disney Autograph Book Bags on Etsy by nickaroo5055.

These handmade Disney autograph book bags come with a matching autograph book and pen! I’m all about coordinating so this is so perfect to me. The book measures 6 x 4 1/2 inches and has 30 blank card stock pages. It is a hard cover book and both sides of the pages can be written on, for 60 spaces! I love to tape in a picture of the meet and greet on the page opposite of the autograph.

The autograph book bag has a 43 inch strap, and can also be used for the added function of  holding your Disney pin collection. So cute, AND multi-functional? I think I’m already in love! The strap is also adjustable, which is great to help size down for the little kiddos.

There’s already so much to keep track of at Disney trying to keep track of snacks, drinks, camera, and everything else you have to bring along… so why not let your kids help out with their own autograph book bag? This neat little bag not only looks great, it’s so useful! There’s also tons of themes and characters to choose from! I loved them all, but chose some of my favorites to share!

The D23 Expo 2017 is less than two weeks away, and there’s lots of excitement about all the new things that we’ll see and learn about. Of course all the fabulous new merchandise and collectibles are exciting too! Last week Disney Parks Blog revealed a sneak peek at some of the great New Disney Headwear we can look forward to seeing at the Disney Dream Store.

New Disney Headwear Coming to the D23 Expo's Disney Dream Store

Of course the commemorative Disney ear hat is a must! This ear hat was designed specially for the D23 Expo 2017! The hat is in iconic blue and silver, with the main mouse himself, Mickey on the front, and “D23 exp°o° 2017” on the back.

New Disney Headwear Coming to the D23 Expo's Disney Dream Store

A limited edition, genuine leather hat celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction will also sail into the Disney Dream Store. It is presented in a decorative treasure box, and have a pirate-themed metal medallion on the front. This hat is very limited and will only have an edition size of 230. So if you’re a Pirate’s fan, make sure you don’t miss this one.

New Disney Headwear Coming to the D23 Expo's Disney Dream Store

Now for what I think is the most exciting new headwear reveal, the new Interchangeable Bow Collection that’s coming to Disney Parks this fall! This new style ear headband is more than an accessory, it’s a collection! You start with the mouse-eared headband that comes with a removable sequin-covered bow. This starter headband contains three spaces where an interchangeable bow can be attached using a clip.

For those of us that love to wear different ears through out out trips, this band is perfect. You just need one ear headband, and you can switch out with different bows for a new look each day! For the Disney Dream Store debut there will be six Disney character-inspired bows sold separately, which can be easily attached to the starter headband. There will be 10 specially designed bows available when the collection is officially released this fall at Disney Parks! This is a Disney style girl’s dream come true!

With such awesome new Disney headwear coming to the Disney Dream Store, I can’t wait to see what else is in store!

Children’s Activity Center “Cub’s Den” Will Not Re-Open at Wilderness Lodge

Wilderness Lodge

Wilderness Lodge has been going through some major refurbishments and during that time the “Cub’s Den” children’s activity center has been closed. We have seen many new updates at this resort lately like the Roaring Fork, Copper Creek Villas and Cabins, and Boulder Ridge Cove Pool. But not all changes have been positive. WDW Info has reported that Cub’s Den will not be re-opening as expected after the resort refurbishment is complete.

There are still four other Children’s Activity Centers across the Walt Disney World Resort to choose from:

  • Simba’s Cubhouse at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
  • Sandcastle Club at Disney Beach Club Resort
  • Lilo’s Playhouse at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
  • Camp Dolphin at Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel

Hours vary based on location. For more on Lilo’s Playhouse, Simba’s Cubhouse and Sandcastle Club—including booking a reservation—please call (407) 939-3463 or the Resort hotel’s Front Desk. For information about Camp Dolphin, please call (407) 934-4241.

Don't Miss These Summertime Eats at Disney Springs

Summer is in full swing at Walt Disney World. Disney has really upped their game for summertime eats at Disney Springs. Here are a few items they shared with us that you won’t want to miss.

The BOATHOUSE

The BOATHOUSE at The Landing has three new summer dishes: herb-marinated grilled shrimp with smoked jalapeño grits, cornbread and housemade jalapeño jelly; house-smoked beef brisket au jus sandwich with spicy giardineria; and coconut bread pudding souffle with roasted pineapple and rum caramel sauce.

Dockside Margaritas

More shade, big umbrellas and new frozen margaritas at Dockside Margaritas, a favorite waterfront respite for cold drinks and live music. And while classic margaritas and other cocktails are on the menu, seasonal frozen margaritas (watermelon, apple, agave nectar and tangerine mix-ins are among rotating flavors) are fun for summertime. Live music usually starts around noon and goes until 10:15 p.m.

Splitsville Luxury Lanes

Located on the West Side added more air-conditioned space on the second floor with an enclosed balcony that expands the dining room. Tables and high tops are along the windows, with fabulous views of Disney Springs through floor-to-ceiling windows. A new bar anchors the space.

B.B. Wolf’s Sasuage Kiosk

B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. kiosk in Marketplace has a new Latin Dog, topped with chipotle mayo, corn salsa and queso fundido, one of five delectable choices – vegetarians can try the meatless Italian-style with peppers, onion and marinara. (And we love their homemade pickles.)

Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’

The popular “Jasper Board” starter gets bigger at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’; with smoked fish dip, pimento cheese, shaved country and tasso hams and buttermilk crackers. With a cocktail, it’s a meal. Or try the new “Ham, Ham & Jam” with three Cheddar drop biscuits with ham, blackberry fig jam and pimento cheese. A new hangar steak with good ol’ Southern succotash (made with grilled corn, tomato and lima beans) and a new Chef Art Burger with Art’s special secret sauce round out the savories. If you want to go lighter, there’s a new watermelon salad with heirloom tomatoes, crispy ham, feta cheese and candied pecans.

STK Orlando

STK Orlando has a new happy hour menu, available every Monday through Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. with small bites like Cherry Tomato and Watermelon Skewers for $6 and beer and well drinks for $4.

The Polite Pig

Located in Town Center, The Polite Pig has added five bourbon flights: The Friendly Flight, The Polite Flight, The Refined Flight, The Rye Whiskey Flight and the American Whiskey Flight. A fun way to try a sip of something new – each flight has three bourbons. There is also a new BBQ Cheddar Sausage Hoagie and Double Layer Chocolate Cake.

With all these delectable options, the only question is where to start first! Each option sounds like it’s sure to be a delicious summer at Disney Springs!

A Preview of the Redesigned Coronado Springs Resort

We just found these amazing pictures of a re-imagined Coronado Springs on Twitter and wanted to share them with you. They seem to depict what’s in store for guests when the hotel finishes it’s refurbishment in Summer 2019.

One thing is for sure, it definitely looks like many changes will be coming to this moderate resort. The biggest being the addition of the “tower.” I wouldn’t be surprised if this resort was actually reclassified as a deluxe once the dusk settles on this large project. I guess we will have to stay tuned!

Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land Construction Progress at Hollywood Studios

Here is a quick peek over the construction walls close to the Muppets Courtyard. We have seen that the remaining buildings in Streets of America have just gotten a fresh coat of paint which makes us wonder how they will tie in to the new Star Wars Land.

You can see that Disney is putting in underground connections between the buildings.

Step inside and step back into a bygone era of elegance and gracious hospitality. Here, you’ll be invited to sip champagne and enjoy an artisanal selection of cheeses or charcuterie. You’ll also be escorted to the award-winning Cítricos, where you’ll be treated to a special Chef’s main course selection amid the restaurant’s refined ambiance.

Afterward, board the monorail once more to return to Disney’s Contemporary Resort for the culmination of your evening. Highway in the Sky Dine Around costs $160 plus tax per person (gratuity is included.) Disney Dining Plans are not accepted. Right now, it is offered on most Tuesday through Saturday evenings throughout September. These Disney Stethoscope Covers are Perfect for Any Disney Addict Nurse

It’s no secret that nurses are heroes to me, their love, dedication, and caring is truly inspiring. When ever I see adorable nursing accessories, especially Disney ones, I’m reminded of some of the people in my life I look up to most. I might have awed, and squealed a little when I saw these incredibly Disney Stethoscope Covers by DDSewHappyScrubs on Etsy!

Since becoming a mom, I’ve always loved when I see nurses wearing fun scrubs with characters, cute badge scrolls, and colorful lanyards. I haven’t seen a lot of stethoscope covers, but I’m always delighted when I see them! Stethoscope covers are also welcoming to nervous patients by giving them something to look at, and adding an element of fun. The designers also says that they add comfort when wearing around your neck, and nurses can use any extra comfort they can get on those long shifts!  The covers are easy to take on and off stethoscopes by sliding over the elastic and easily securing with a Velcro fastening on top.

They have quite a few to choose from, but I picked out a some of my favorites to share with everyone.

Who doesn’t love sinking their teeth into a juicy slice of Watermelon on a hot summer day? Disneyland has dished out fun snacks all summer, and now California Adventure park has put its own twist on the flavors from this classic summer snack, releasing a Watermelon Cherry Cotton Candy!

The fluffy pink and green pieces of cotton candy combine to remind guests of a fresh slice of summer watermelon. This sweet treat can be found in Disney’s California Adventure Park on Buena Vista Street, near the Carthay Circle Restaurant. Grab yourself one while you can, there’s no telling how long the tasty treat will be available!

UberX Is Now Officially Picking Up Passengers From Orlando Airport

Two weeks ago I shared news that a new law had been passed that would allow ride-sharing companies like Uber and Lyft to pick up passengers from the Orlando International Airport. That new law went into effect this weekend and included a $5.80 airport fee. This fee is part of the fare ride-sharing passengers must pay for the service.

Before this law, only taxis and Uber’s Premium Services (Uber SELECT and Uber SELECTXL) could pick up passengers at the airport. UberX drivers could only drop off passengers.

Even adding in the additional airport fee, Uber will still be about half the cost of other transportation options to get to major Orlando destinations. Take a look at some the example prices below. These numbers do include the $5.80 airport fee.

Disney does provide complimentary transportation to and from the Orlando International Airport for its on-site resort guests through the Magical Express service. Uber will still be a great option for Disney guests wanting a more direct option or for guests staying off property.
