FastPass+ Selections for Pandora – The World of Avatar Begin March 24th and Nightly Extra Magic Hours Will be Offered

FastPass+ selections for Pandora – The World of Avatar can be made beginning tomorrow, March 24, 2017 at 7:00am EST. Additionally, Guests staying at select Walt Disney World® Resort hotels from May 27 – July 4, 2017 can explore Pandora – The World of Avatar beyond regular Park hours.

Nightly Extra Magic Hours will take place from 11 p.m.-1 a.m. only in Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. This offering will provide Guests with an additional opportunity to enjoy everything Pandora – The World of Avatar has to offer – including navigating a mystical river, flying on a back of a banshee and walking under floating mountains. Guests with an existing reservation at a select Walt Disney World Resort hotel will receive communication notifying them of the Nightly Extra Magic Hours.

Disney FastPass+ service will be available at the two attractions within Pandora – The World of Avatar during regular Theme Park hours. Guests may select only one of these two attractions in their first set of Disney FastPass+ selections, subject to availability.

Valid Theme Park admission is required. FastPass+ attractions and entertainment experiences, the number of selections you can make and available arrival windows are limited.

New ‘Pixar Live’ Show Coming to Hollywood Studios this Summer

Disney has announced a new live stage show at Walt Disney World this summer. Starting May 26th, 2017, “The Music of Pixar LIVE! A Symphony Characters” will debut nightly at Hollywood Studio’s Theater of the Stars. This new show will follow the regular daily performances of “Beauty and the Beast– Live on Stage.”

This new show will showcase memorable music from Pixar Animation Studios films, complete with a live orchestra and appearances from iconic Disney-Pixar characters. The show will also feature highlights from some of Pixar’s greatest scores, including films like “Toy Story” to “Cars 3.” Guests can also anticipate appearances from their favorite Pixar characters such as Woody, Jessie, Mike and Sulley, the Incredibles and more.

Satu’li Canteen Menu Announced for Pandora: World of Avatar

Guests have been waiting for an official announcement of the menu for the new Satu’li Canteen, opening in Pandora on May 27, 2017. We gave you a sneak peek recently of some offerings that we would see when it opened, but now Disney has released the official full Menu (including pricing) on their website!

Entrees will include:

Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken Bowl
Fish Bowl
Cheeseburger Steamed Pod
Beef Bowl
Chili Spiced Crispy Fried Tofu Bowl
Vegetable Steamed Curry Pod

Kids will have the option to choose from the following kids meals and Mickey Check meals:

Exciting New Details Released about Star Wars: Galactic Nights at Hollywood Studios

Star Wars fans, get excited! Disney has released exciting new details about Star Wars: Galactic Nights coming up at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on April 14th, 2017.

This separate ticketed event, will run for one night only and is taking place on the same weekend as Star Wars Celebration in Orlando. Guests of the event are invited to partake in a variety of Star Wars activities, including being among the first to meet BB-8 at Hollywood Studios. Vanessa Marshall, the voice of Hera Syndulla from Star Wars Rebels, will be the host of “Inside the Saga: Celebrity Chat Show” inside the Epic Theater. Marshall will take you inside the latest Star Wars film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Other activities offered include:

Rebel Base Activities – This area will be located in the center of the park, most likely in front of the Chinese Theater and will host a variety of events, including Star Wars dance parties.
Star Wars photo ops: Guests will have the opportunity to take photos with their favorite Star Wars characters, including Han Solo cast in carbonite, Jabba the Hutt’s Palace, the Hoth Wampa Cave and more.
Galactic Nights Stars in Cars Motorcade: Celebrity guests during Star Wars: Galactic Nights will be paraded down Hollywood BLVD.
Imperial March & March of the First Order: Darth Vader leads a group of Stormtroopers down Hollywood BLVD. to the center stage. Captain Phasma will also lead a group of First Order Stormtroopers down Hollywood BLVD.
“Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away”: This show features live actors on stage depicting scenes from various Star Wars films.
“Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular”: The Star Wars themed fireworks spectacular featuring your favorite stars and sounds from the Star Wars films, including the famous Star Wars soundtrack.

Other activities that are open to guests during this event include Star Wars Launch Bay at Hollywood Studios; Star Tours-The Adventures Continue; and random Star Wars character sightings throughout the park, including the new AWR Trooper from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

The event runs from 7 PM – midnight at Hollywood Studios and ticket prices are $129 plus tax for adults and $124 plus tax for children ages 9 and under.

Animal Kingdom’s Vet Hospital Closed for Refurbishment

Rafiki’s Planet Watch’s Animal Hospital and Veterinary Treatment Room at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is closed for refurbishment and is expected to reopen around mid-June. Disney is enhancing the experience for this area by creating the ability for guests to view procedures in which hospital staff uses two new computed tomography (CT) scanners for animal diagnostics. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is one of only two animal hospitals in U.S. zoos with CT scanners on the premises.

During the hospital refurbishment, the animals will continue to receive needed care at the park’s backstage treatment areas, such as the quarantine building. There will be no on-stage veterinary procedures during this time.

Due to this refurbishment, the portion of the Backstage Tales tour that typically takes place in the animal hospital will be accommodated in another space. All other experiences in Conservation Station will continue as normal.

New Cake Decorating Experience Available at Amorette’s Patisserie Disney Springs

If you’ve stopped by the glorious Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs, you’ve probably wondered how they make those absolutely exquisite Disney-theme domed cakes. Well, now is your chance to find out.

Amorette’s is unveiling an all new Cake Decorating Experience starting on March 31st and running through until May 5, 2017. These experiences will be available on Fridays from 8:45am to 10:30am.

Guests signing up for the experience will get to enjoy specialty coffees, mimosas and bellinis while going elbow to elbow with the master bakers and cake decorators at Amorette’s. Participants will be able to decorate their own Mickey Dome Cake from the application of the amazing “mirror glaze” to finishing touches like the chocolate sculpted ears, tail, belt and buttons. All guests will have the opportunity to bring their creations home to their friends and family and impress them with your culinary skills.

The exclusive Amorette’s experience is part of Disney’s Enchanting Extras Collection. The cost is $129 plus tax for ages 10 and up. The price covers one or possibly two guests working on the same cake. A second cake can be booked at an additional fee of $40. Reservations opened today (March 22nd) and advanced booking is highly recommended and can be booked here.

Screenwriter Accuses Disney of Stealing Zootopia

A federal lawsuit was filed on Tuesday against Disney. Screenwriter Gary Goldman is accusing Disney of stealing his idea for the animated film Zootopia. Goldman is known for big screen hits such as Total Recall and Big Trouble in Little China. Disney is accused of taking designs, themes, dialogue, characters, and even the name Zootopia from a project he developed in 2000. Goldman claims that he pitched the idea to Disney executives not once, but twice, first in 2000 and then again in 2009 and his idea was rejected both times. Disney has publicly denied these allegations.

Screenwriter Accuses Disney of Stealing Zootopia

The suit, filed by Goldman’s production company targets several Disney divisions, including its film, consumer products and video game units. Disney’s 2016 animated film Zootopia was a huge success for Disney, grossing over $1 billion in theaters worldwide and taking home the Academy Award for best animated feature film. If damages are awarded it will be a hefty payday for Goldman.

New Pandora- The World of Avatar Video Reveals How Disney Created an Interactive Ecosystem

One of the aspects that many visitors to Pandora – The World of Avatar will find the most intriguing is the ability to explore a brand new world unlike anything seen or experienced before.

Fans of James Cameron’s AVATAR film will recall that Pandora features an ecosystem brimming with bio-luminescent flora and fauna in an environment sacred to the native Na’vi inhabitants. Disney released a stunning video today capturing how the Imagineers and Animal Programs worked together to re-create the interactive eco-system in the Pandora – The World of Avatar expansion slated to open at Walt Disney World on May 27, 2017. Disney World Annual Passholders to get a Sneak Peek at Pandora: World of Avatar

Hey there guys and gals it is I Anonymouse back with some Disney World Gossip!

So it seems Disney World Annual Passholders will be getting an exclusive sneak peek at Pandora: World of Avatar before it opens to the general public!

We hear there will be a special online signup is coming soon for Disney World Annual Passholders for the exclusive preview.

The proposed sneak peek is for April which is over a month before Pandora: World of Avatar opening date of May 27th.

No word on if Passholders will have a complete run of the Pandora area or if they will just tour the area like ABC News did in this video.

Makes you wonder if Disney will have a Soft Opening of Pandora before it opens???

As always nothing is official till Disney says it is.
