Disney announced a new partnership with Lenovo at D23 this summer. The two companies will be teaming up to bring us the Star Wars: Jedi Challenges Augmented Reality Lenovo Headset. Soon you can awaken your inner Jedi with this new app‑enabled augmented reality experience.
The set comes with headgear, and a lightsaber motion controller, and will use a smartphone to run the interactive augmented reality game. You will be able to immerse yourself in the Star Wars universe among fierce battles, and even a game of Holochess. The first game will be Star Wars: Jedi Challenges, however more Star Wars games could make their way to the new platform in the future.
I wonder if we’ll see any of this augmented reality style activities at the new Disney Star Wars Resort?
Currently there is no announced release date, but it will be available at Best Buy, and you can sign up at the website here to get updates of when it will launch. Will you be checking out the new Star Wars: Jedi Challenges Augmented Reality Lenovo Headset when it debuts?
There were many incredible announcements last week from the D23 Expo! One of my favorite announcements was about the new Her Universe Disney Parks Inspired Dresses that will be making their debut soon.
At the Expo, Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein revealed a few new designs that she and her team have been working on, and wow, they are amazing!
A few of these the new items will be arriving at the Dress Shop at Disney Parks. These unique dresses inspired by the lands of Disney parks features Mary Blair-inspired artwork by Ashley Taylor. There is a whimsical Fantasyland dress, and a Frontierland skirt and top. It was also implied more Parks-inspired designs will be available in 2018.
A Haunted Mansion Skit was also one of the teasers for the Disney Parks inspired pieces coming in 2018.
Fans of Marvel and Star Wars won’t be disappointed either.
There are some amazing new Princess Leia designs headed out way this fall too! I’m mostly crushing on the vest that is inspired by the one Leia wears on Hoth in the Empire Strikes Back. There is also a coat and dress inspired by some of her more iconic looks coming soon too.
The new Marvel pieces are very retro inspired Captain America designs! They have a chic preppiness to them, that hails back to Cap’s golden age.

We previously announced that American Idol would be returning to television, this time on ABC. Today we are excited to bring you news that Ryan Seacrest will officially host the first season of the hit show’s return! Disney Springs shopping locations will soon be undergoing enhancements that will result in some temporary changes. Beginning on July 31 improvements will begin on a portion of Once Upon a Toy. In order to make room for the scheduled refurbishment, Star Wars merchandise will be relocated to Marketplace Fun Finds. This shop will close July 24 to prepare for the relocation of merchandise and will reopen on August 2.
Here’s what the schedule looks like:
July 24 – August 2: Marketplace Fun Finds Closed (will be temporarily renamed while housing Star Wars souvenirs)
July 31: Once Upon a Toy: (Star Wars merchandise relocated to Marketplace Fun Finds)
Existing Marketplace Fun Finds merchandise will be relocated to other Disney Springs locations during this time.

Big news people! The cheese sauce has returned to Casey’s Corner as an add-on to meals! This favorite topping has been missing from the Magic Kingdom since 2015 and we are excited to welcome it back.
No word yet if it will be returning to Cosmic Ray’s, but fingers crossed!

Casey’s Corner located on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom serves up All-American baseball favorites like hot dogs, corn dog nuggets, French fries, cotton candy and Cracker Jack.
**UPDATE** It now appears that the cheese sauce is a separately priced item that must be requested at time of ordering. The Casey’s Corner menu shows a price of $1.00 for Cheese Sauce. It will be most likely served in small cups for your dipping enjoyment!

Yak and Yeti, the table-service restaurant located at the base of Expedition Everest inside Animal Kingdom, will be closed today (Thursday July 20, 2017) for maintenance. All of the other dining locations at Animal Kingdom will be operating as normal.
Guests with reservations to Yak and Yeti today may call (407) 828-2727 to receive help booking a new dining experience.
Yak and Yeti Restaurant is a themed dining location that serves delicious dishes from various regions across Asia. This eclectic eatery offers a menu of sweet-and-sour chicken, ahi tuna nachos, pork pot stickers and Kobe beef burgers. Hollywood Studios latest addition, The Music of Pixar Live!, has just added another option to secure your seat for what has proven to be a popular show this summer. FastPass+ are now available for each of the three evening shows.
The Music of Pixar Live! is a limited-time nightly concert series that showcases a selection of unforgettable soundtrack favorites from Cars, Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc., Toy Story and Up. The show performed by a live orchestra, all while giant screens feature a movie montage and outtakes. The show debuted at the end of May and is scheduled to wrap up on August 27, 2017.
Here’s a snippet of what to expect from this family-friendly show:
In addition to the newly introduced FastPass+ for The Music of Pixar Live!, guests can also secure reserved seating for one of the three nightly shows through a Dining package. Who said dining at Disney needs to break the bank? There’s no better place to find affordable eats during your Walt Disney World visit than the delightful kiosks and shops located around Epcot’s World Showcase. And to demonstrate the fact that visitors can find amazing eats at affordable prices, Disney Parks Blog released this mouth-watering video of dishes found at each of the countries around the World for around $5. 1. Churros with Caramel Sauce- From La Cantina de San Angel (Mexico). The cost of this much-loved snack is $4.25
2. School Bread – These Cardamom buns with Vanilla Creme Custard filling can be found at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in Norway and have become one of Epcot’s must-eat snacks. Give one a try for $3.29
3. Curry Chicken Pockets- For a treat that eats like a meal these savory pockets can be found at Joy of Tea in the China Pavilion and cost $4.50
4. Nudel Gratin – This is another savory snack that you can find at Sommerfest in Germany. Its baked macaroni with a cheese custard and costs $4.29.
5. The American Dream – Perfect for cooling off in the Summer heat this drink is comprised of frozen strawberry, vanilla ice cream and a blue raspberry slushy and can be found at Fife and Drum Tavern in the American Adventure. The cost for this beverage is $5.25.
6. Green Tea Cheesecake – This tasty dessert can be found in Japan at Katsura Grill. Visitors can grab a slice for $4.25.
7. Tangierine Couscous Salad – Another perfect dish to tide you over until dinner, the Couscous Salad can be found at Tangierine Cafe in Morocco and costs $3.99.
8. Napoleon – This delectable puff pastry with layered cream can be found at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in France and costs $4.25.
9. Victoria Sponge Cake – This traditional British pudding can be found at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the United Kingdom for $4.29.
10. Croissant Jambon Fromage – A great value! This ham and cheese croissant definitely eats like a meal and can also be found at Les Halles Boulangerie in France for $4.75.

Seems like everywhere we go we hear about Christmas in July and Disney Springs is no exception. Specialty Cocktails are always a great way to celebrate the Holiday Season. We decided to Celebrate Christmas in July with one of Dockside Margaritas Snowball Margaritas.
Dockside Margaritas can be found along the waterside at Disney Springs Marketplace across from the Markeplace Co Op. We love drinks with Blue Curacao and the Snowflake Margarita does not disappoint on flavor. Don’t forget to say yes to the salt as the salted rim of the cup definitely enhances the flavor.
Oh what fun it is! The Snowball Margarita, while really not particularly special, is a colorful, fun and refreshing cocktail that is sure to hit the spot while waiting in line at the Days of Christmas Store to see Santa Claus. That is what we did and we had a great time celebrating Christmas in July at Disney Springs while enjoying a Dockside Margaritas Snowball Margarita.

Ho, Ho, Ho! Merry Christmas in July Chip and Company Fans! Come meet Santa Claus during the Disney Springs Christmas In July Event from July 15th-July 30th. Be sure to stop by the Days of Christmas shop from 1:00pm -10:00pm daily to meet the Jolly Old Elf himself. Disney photographers will be on hand to capture the moment you meet Santa Claus in July!
Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus, in July at Disney Springs. Wait, what? Santa is looking very festive in his summer Florida attire this week at Disney Springs as he celebrates Christmas in July. We love his red converse sneakers, white knee socks, red shorts, white gloves and festive holiday shirt.
No Holiday Chalet for Santa in July as he is on vacation after all. Stop by Disney Springs and hop in line outside the Days of Christmas shop. Here you will find a festive atmosphere complete with umbrellas to provide shade and friendly Cast Members meandering about serving up some free samples of Goofy’s Glaciers Slurpies in a variety of flavors. We loved the Blue Raspberry ones. While waiting in line, you cannot help but sing along to the Christmas songs that are being piped in for the occassion.
We are so thrilled that Santa decided to vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort in July. He is set up with a Summer Christmas in July backdrop featuring a large beach chair, ocean background and sandy colored flooring. Disney Photographers will take your pictures so be sure to wear your Magic Band and have your photos scanned to your band. You can have your Holiday pictures with Santa ready to go for those Christmas cards in December. Mark that item off your Holiday checklist!
This year, 2017, marks the first-ever Christmas in July Event at Disney Springs. Is this the beginning of an even grander, more festive event next year? I’m such a sucker for anything with Stitch and Angel on it, they are probably one of my favorite Disney couples after Donald and Daisy! I totally had a case of the “awwwweee”s when I saw these Disney Couples Vacation Shirts featuring Stitch and Angel!
Not only did these adorable shirts feature Stitch and Lilo, but they came on such beautiful tees! The stitch is on a true royal blue heather tee, and the Angel is on a raspberry pink heather tee, each complimenting the matching character perfectly. Of course I had to peak at what other goodies this Etsy shop had, and found other great couples shirts, including you guessed it; Donald and Daisy!
The Donald and Daisy set is probably the set I’ll most likely be able to get my husband to wear with me, ha! He’s not much of a matching shirt guy, but I totally am a matching shirt kind of gal.
