For the second time in two weeks, the Disney Fantasy is changing ports-of-call. Last week, the Fantasy had to cancel it’s planned stop in Cozumel, Mexico due to Tropical Storm Franklin. This week, the Fantasy is changing it’s scheduled stop in Tortola, British Virgin Islands on Tuesday to St. Maarten.
The change is due to reported mudslides on the Island of Tortola. Passengers have been notified of the change and the rest of the 7-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise is scheduled to go on as planned. The ship left Port Canaveral yesterday.

I was a huge fan of the Evil Queen’s poison apple mug that Disneyland had! Sadly as a Florida girl, I never get to go to the Happiest Place on Earth. However Etsy has come through once again, and I can get my poison apple fix! This pin is soft enamel in black metal and has a red rubber clutch back. After a lengthy refurbishment, the Disneyland Railroad is back in business and ready to whisk riders around Disneyland theme park. Disney fans both young and old have been anxiously awaiting the return of this iconic attraction and to experience firsthand the new updates along Rivers of America and the waterfront.
There are also a few Disney Cast Members who have cause to celebrate – the engineers who care for these historic steam engines. Their work is pivotal in keeping Walt’s vision and his love of trains alive and well at Disneyland today. According to Robert Rodriguez, one of the engineers, “Any way we as a cast can inspire the guests to have a passion for these trains like Walt did is fantastic.”
Both Robert and fellow Cast Member Craig Ludwick have been working hard the past few months to prepare the Disneyland Railroad to return to it’s 365 day a year operating schedule. Both are pleased that it is back and better than ever with recent additions that include a new trestle bridge that extends out along the Rivers of America. Craig had this to say about the updated experience, “Once our guests see those new waterfalls, lighting and the amazing stone work … you’re going to hear people say, ‘Oh, wow! Look at that!’”
According to Craig, other highlights of the refurbishments include new breathtaking views of Walt Disney’s Dioramas of the Grand Canyon and the Primeval World which have been carefully restored.

Today is a big day for DuckTales fans! Almost a 30 years after it made its debut in September 1987, Disney’s reboot premieres today. To honor this momentous occasion we wanted to bring you this cute moment from Disney’s D23 Expo. The cast of DuckTales gathered to talk about the exciting reboot of one of Disney’s most beloved series – from a life-size recreation of Scrooge McDuck’s gold coin-filled money pit.
Joined by comedians Ben Schwartz (Dewey) and Beck Bennett (Launchpad McQuack), the DuckTales cast, which includes Kate Micucci (Webby) and Toks Olagundoye (Mrs. Beakley), reveal where they were 30 years ago on the date the original DuckTales first aired.

As we previously reported, Disney announced that they will be pulling all of their material from Netflix and starting their own streaming service. Not much more information has been released but reports state that Netflix and Disney are in discussion to leave LucasFilm and Marvel movies on the popular streaming service. This would mean that while the upcoming Frozen 2 and Toy Story 4 movies would not be available on Netflix, Star Warsand Marvelfilms would remain.
When Disney announced this week that they would be removing their material, Netflix stocks dropped five percent in a two-day period. They have rebounded slightly since but an agreement to keep the rights to LucasFilm and Marvel would help them significantly.
Other reports have stated that the original Marvel content such as The Defenders and Jessica Jones will remain on Netflix. While, original Disney programming from Disney Jr., Disney XD, and the Disney Channel will solely be on the new Disney streaming service.
Disney’s new streaming service is not supposed to be up and running until 2019. We can expect that Disney content will remain on Netflix until about this time.
