Preview Marvel’s Inhumans in IMAX theaters September 1st

With the success and popularity of the Marvel movies the Marvel franchise has expanded in recent years, releasing multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe television series based on various Marvel comics. The latest series set to debut is Marvel’s Inhumans, named for the superhuman race from the Marvel comics. The series will focus on Black Bolt and other members of the Inhuman Royal Family.

The full Marvel’s Inhumans series is set to premiere on September 29th on television’s ABC, with an early preview in IMAX theaters on September 1st. Check out the official trailer below:

Inhumans will be the third Marvel series to be released on the ABC network following:

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013-)
Marvel’s Agent Carter(2015-2016)

Netflix has released multiple Marvel series featuring characters from the comics like:

Marvel’s Jessica Jones (2015-)
Marvel’s Luke Cage (2016-)
Marvel’s Iron Fist (2017)

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has two crossover miniseries scheduled to release on Netflix in 2017:

Marvel’s The Defenders -August 18, 2017
Marvel’s The Punisher -2017

They will also be expanding to television’s Freeform in 2018 with Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger series.

Disney to Replace Wench Auction on Pirates of the Caribbean Attractions Stateside and in Paris

Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean is about to change with times by giving the infamous Wench Auction scene the cut. In an article posted this week on Disney Parks Blog it was announced that Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Paris, which is currently closed for refurbishment until July 24th will re-open with a few noticeable changes. Chef among them is the fact that the auction scene will feature characters selling items such as chickens, guns and paintings rather than women. The redhead will remain in a slightly new role which allows Imagineering to keep the line “We want the red head!” as a tip of the hat to the original scene.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Other notable changes to the Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Paris include the addition of Captain Barbossa as well as ghostly appearances by Davy Jones and Blackbeard. The ride will also showcase new Audio-Animatronic figures, costumes, special effects, lights and sound.

Similar refurbishments are expected to take place at Disneyland and Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in 2018.

Turnstile Area Being Upgraded at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

According to a piece running today at Orlando Theme Park News, work is being carried out on a new main entrance at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

The project includes new concrete sidewalks being poured, fencing being erected near the secondary box office, a new paint job to the front facade of Champion Stadium and a new turnstile area. The majority of the construction work is expected to be carried out after hours to minimize the impact on visitors.

Until completion of the project, guests can continue to use the current park entry turnstiles though visitors may be re-routed to avoid construction zones.

There’s no news yet on when the project is expected to be completed.

BREAKING NEWS: Future of Illuminations and Spaceship Earth in Question with Siemens Announcing End of Partnership

Siemens Corporation, who is the official corporate sponsor of Disney Parks and more specifically Spaceship Earth and Illuminations at Epcot has just announced they will not be renewing their contract with Disney. Siemens has been a sponsor of Disney Parks for the past ten years.

Across the globe, Siemens also sponsors it’s a small world at Disneyland in California. Sylvania, who’s parent company is Siemens, used to sponsor the Osborne Family Light Show at Hollywood Studios and also their technology was used to construct the popular Radiator Springs Racers attraction at California Adventure in Disneyland among others.

The questions now is, “What will happen with Spaceship Earth and Illuminations?” As we recently reported, we were thinking that Siemens would renew their contract and give Spaceship Earth a much needed refurbishment. Now, with this news coming out it’s unsure what will happen with this iconic attraction. Interestingly enough, this will be the first time Spaceship Earth does not have a corporate sponsor.

With all the changes to Epcot we are anticipating to be announced at next month’s D23 Expo in Disneyland, we were also under the impression that Illuminations would be replaced by a new nighttime show. That looks very likely now with today’s news.

Broadway Stars To Perform On Select Disney Cruise Line Sailings

A new lineup of Broadway stars are joining Disney Cruise Line to entertain its passengers as part of the “Stars Set Sail” live concert series presented by Disney Theatrical Productions. These theatrical stars will be aboard the Disney Magic for most European itineraries and the Disney Wonder and Fantasy will join in on the fun on select voyages.

Some of the talented performers include Kevin Massey (lead role in Broadway’s “Tarzan”) and his wife Kara Lindsey (from the original cast of “Newsies”). You can see their cute photo above. Other star include Steve Blanchard (the longest running Beast on Broadway) and Alton Fitzgerald White (the longest running Mufasa on Broadway).

Each performer will have a unique show, showcasing their diverse talent and personal journey to Broadway. Guests will also have a chance to personally meet the star at a Q&A session, a late-night show just for adults, a theater class for teens and tweens and more.

In order to keep their rides running smoothly and safely, Disneyland often needs to close attractions in order to perform maintenance on them, or give them a fresh look. As much as we don’t like it when our favorite rides aren’t running, maintenance is necessary to keep guests safe during their park visits. That being said, here is a list of the rides and attractions at the Disneyland Resort undergoing refurbishment in July 2017:

Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes – Closed until Summer 2017
Disneyland Railroad – Closed until Summer 2017
Disneyland Railroad – Mickey’s Toontown – Closed until Summer 2017
Disneyland Railroad – New Orleans Square – Closed until Summer 2017

The Great Hall lobby will be refurbished and access will be limited beginning June 2017 through early August 2017. Some Guest rooms will not be available during this time.

19 Year Old Man Arrested For Selling Fake Disney World Tickets On Craigslist

Branden Bullerin, a 19 year old man from Deltona, Florida was arrested on Tuesday for selling fraudulent Walt Disney World tickets. Bullerin was charged with grand theft and possession of tickets with intent to defraud, authorities said.

A woman from Tampa said she found Bullerin on Craigslist and arranged to buy 13 Walt Disney World tickets from him. She then met him at his grandparent’s home and purchased the tickets for a total of $1,000. After arriving at the park with her family, the victim was told by Disney cast members that the tickets were expired.

The victim says that Bullerin claimed that since he worked for Disney he had access to discounted tickets. “Disney confirmed to WESH 2 News that Bullerin was not an employee with the company.”
