Aulani Resort honors U.S. military members with this special fall offer on stays August 27 through December 21, 2017:

  • Save 35% on select weekday stays (Sunday – Thursday nights)
  • $50 Resort Credit per night on Ocean View and Partial Ocean View rooms

New this year, souvenir Disney PhotoPass photos taken during the event are included with your ticket, with unlimited PhotoPass downloads to enjoy later.
  • Pick up a special map at the Main Entrance or use the Disneyland app to locate the trick-or-treat stations throughout the park. The whole family can enjoy the trick-or-treat stations – and be sure to look for healthy treats, too!
  • Presented exclusively during Mickey’s Halloween Party, the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow leads the Frightfully Fun Parade down Main Street, U.S.A. This eerie Halloween spirit holds a flickering jack-o-lantern to light his way as he rides in search of a new head to call his own.

The film really gives us a deeper look into the characters, and we learn a lot about how they have come to be who they are today.

The clip below hit me hard. Yondu’s character development in this film was well done, and in the end he became a favorite for me. I love the connection made between the tapes from Quill’s mother, and Yondu leaving him the Zune.

If you’re looking for a good laugh Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 does not disappoint. They really mastered the perfect balance of emotions throughout the film. Check out this bonus gag reel with clips taken during filming:

Track Your Dining Credits and More with Latest My Disney Experience Update

Disney’s My Disney Experience app received a new update today, and it has some pretty awesome features! For starters, with the release, Disney Resort guests utilizing a Disney Dining Plan can now track their dining credits through the app.  You will be able to see all remaining credits ( meals and snacks) as well as how many resort mugs you have available. They are broken down by type of credit, with a tally of how many have been issued and how many have been redeemed.

When you log into your My Disney Experience account, scroll to “My Plans” and click on your upcoming resort reservation. This will bring up the details of you vacation package. Listed next to “Choose MagicBands” are two new options “Check Dining Plan” and “View Charges.”

In order to view your dining credits, you must have checked-in at your resort.

My Disney Experience

Another new and convenient feature, is the ability to track your charges. Under the “View Charges” option, guests may view all charges made to their room, during their visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.

The final feature added with the new update, is something all Annual Passholders will benefit from, The ability to renew your pass right from the app!

I have waited a long time for Disney to release updates like this! These new features will be so convenient while roaming the parks. I don’t know about you, but I am always second guessing how many snack credits I have left and my receipts showing credits somehow always end up in a crumpled mess on the bottom of the diaper bag.

Move Over Shoes, Disney Purse Ornaments Are Here!

Disney Purse Ornaments

The Disney Parks have had amazing character themed ornaments for years now. The first were the Ear Hats, then shoes, and last year the hanging costumes. Now Disney has introduced Disney Purse Ornaments, inspired by beloved princesses and villains!

There is at least a dozen different character purses adorning the shelves at the Disney Parks currently. There are three dastardly villain purses featuring Ursula, The Evil Queen, and Maleficent. Then the rest that are available feature royal heroins, Anna, Elsa, Snow White, Aurora, Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, Merida and Rapunzel. Each purse is cast with amazing details on both the front and the back. Even the handles are detailed in character elements.

As with the previous Character Icon collections I’m sure we’ll see more characters released in the future. I can’t wait to hang a few handbags with my shoe ornaments this Christmas!

Get Your Dole Whips Faster With New Mobile Ordering Locations Coming Soon

I have exciting news to share! New dining locations are being added to Mobile Ordering. But the best part is Aloha Isle is one of them. Soon you will no longer have to stand in line waiting for your precious Dole Whip!

Here’s a list of the new locations:

  • Lunching Pad at the Magic Kingdom (Tomorrowland)
  • Aloha Isle at the Magic Kingdom (Adventureland)
  • Rosie’s All-American Cafe at Hollywood Studios (Sunset Blvd)
  • Fairfax Fare at Hollywood Studios (Sunset Blvd)
  • Catalina Eddie’s at Hollywood Studios (Sunset Blvd)
  • Sunshine Seasons at EPCOT (The Land Pavilion)

As of today Disney has not announced the start date for when the new dining locations will be live on Mobile Ordering. Once we have those details we will share it with all of our Chip and Company friends!

Mobile Order, Disney’s food ordering service, can be found in the My Disney Experience App and offers the added convenience of being able to place orders and purchase meals on-the-go. You select menu items, customize orders and pre-pay for meals during park visits – all within the app.

It’s the announcement some of us have been waiting all year for. (I know I have!) Per photos on Twitter and Instagram, the Halloween decorations are starting to go up at the Magic Kingdom! Even though it is August, the first Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party is this Friday, August 25!

House of Blues at Disney Springs has just announced a unique Happy Hour event for Tuesday, August 29! First Magnitude Brewing Company of Gainesville, FL will be taking over all of the Courtyard craft beer taps. In addition, live music and giveaways will be offered to all guests.

We have been bringing you aerial updates of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge construction progress in Hollywood Studios at Disney World. We thought it only fair to check in on how Disneyland is doing too! Yesterday, construction teams installed the highest steel beam for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the new Star Wars-themed land coming to Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., in 2019.

This milestone capped off the infrastructure for a 130-foot-tall rock spire, the highest point in the new land. Once completed, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will include approximately 10,000 tons of structural steel and approximately 200,000 square feet of hand-carved rockwork.
