Shanghai Disneyland Introduces New Seasonal Pass to Celebrate the Best Holiday Seasons of the Year

To celebrate the most festive season of the year, Shanghai Disney Resort today announced the launch of a new Shanghai Disneyland Fall and Winter Seasonal Pass, on sale beginning September 3. The new Fall and Winter Seasonal Pass offers a tremendous value for guests by giving them the opportunity to experience the magic of Shanghai Disneyland and invites guests to celebrate the holiday seasons like never before.

“Holidays at the Shanghai Disney Resort are very special as they create unforgettable memories for guests with amazing experiences only Disney can deliver,” said Philippe Gas, general manager of Shanghai Disney Resort. “Our guests tell us that Shanghai Disneyland is a multi-day experience and we are excited to offer them the opportunity to immerse themselves in the unparalleled storytelling and creativity of Shanghai Disneyland again and again, now during the best holiday seasons of the year.”

During the holidays, Disney magic is coupled with unique festival moments guests can only find at Shanghai Disney Resort. The park will be transformed for many exciting holidays, including Halloween and Christmas, with tailored festive decorations, enchanting entertainment, holiday-themed celebration, special experiences and new offerings throughout the season.

The Shanghai Disneyland 2017 Fall and Winter Seasonal Pass will be available for guests to purchase beginning September 3. The new pass will be valid for multiple entries by the same guest from September 3, 2017 to January 25, 2018. Standard, Child, Senior and Disabled passes are available at three tiers :

Weekday, which is valid for admission on weekdays, except for holidays that fall on a weekday
Any Day, which covers all days except October 2 to 7 and December 31, 2017
Sunday, which covers Sundays except December 31, 2017.

Previous seasonal pass holders can enjoy special pricing when purchasing their passes.

From September 3 to 10, the new Shanghai Disneyland Fall and Winter Seasonal Pass will only be available on the official Shanghai Disney Resort Fliggy Flagship Store with limited-time launch offers for new passholders, in celebration of the resort’s Tmall Heybox special promotion.

From September 11 through the end of 2017, the pass will be available on multiple official channels at marquee prices – including the official Shanghai Disney Resort Fliggy Flagship Store, the resort’s official WeChat and QQ accounts, the Shanghai Disney Resort Reservation Center, the Shanghai Disneyland Main Entrance ticket booths, the resort’s official store on JD.com and through the resort’s official travel trade providers, Ctrip and Dianping.

The new Fall and Winter Seasonal Pass will continue to provide guests with a wide array of exclusive benefits including special offers for resort hotels, discounts on dining and merchandise, Disneytown special offers and many more. Additionally, passholders have special access to exclusive events just for them.

Bill Nye is Suing Disney for Millions in Unpaid Profits

Bill Nye

Bill Nye has filed a lawsuit against Disney, ABC, Buena Vista Television, Touchstone, and other affiliates, for fraudlent concealment, fraudulent inducement, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty. Most commonly known as “The Science Guy” Bill claims the company owes him $9 million. According to Bill Nye, he realized an error 9 years ago and attempted to obtain associated documents as proof of the company violating their contract, by misclasifying revenues and expenses from his show, Bill Nye the Science Guy.

The children’s television show aired September of 1993 to June of 1998. After getting nowhere with Disney, Nye resorted to using an outside auditor who found the Buena Vista Television applied incorrect rates for distribution fees, did not report royalties, mischaracterized revenues, and improperly deducted foreign taxes; prompting Nye’s lawsuit.

Disney has not commented on the lawsuit.

Tonight’s the night! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns to the Magic Kingdom for another season full of spooky fun.

For 32 select nights throughout the Fall season, you can enjoy Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party favorites like Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, and Happy HalloWishes Fireworks Spectacular. Magic Kingdom’s Splash Mountain is getting ready to undergo a three month refurbishment at the end of this month, but don’t let that stop you from celebrating the attraction’s iconic Br’er Rabbit with this yummy treat.

A Kiss Goodnight is a new Hardcover Illustrated Disney Book Richard Sherman and illustrated by Disney legend Floyd Norman. This gorgeous picture book not only beautiful to look at, but also comes with a CD featuring a song of the same namesake sung by Ashley Brown.

A Kiss Goodnight is a valentine to Walt Disney from the legendary songwriter Richard Sherman. Opening with a touching story about what inspired Richard to write the song, A Kiss Goodnight tells the story of how a young Walt Disney was enchanted by fireworks and how he kept his promise to send all his guests home with a special kiss goodnight. Beautifully illustrated by Disney legend Floyd Norman this book will be the must-have picture book for families to enjoy together and for Disney fans to treasure. The book will feature a CD with the song sung by Broadway star Ashley Brown along with a download as well.

I think this would make a fabulous picture book not only to entertain Disney friends that come over, but to show the awe and inspiration Disney brings us, even to our non Disney loving friends.

Move over Rose Gold Minnie Ears, the summer is over, and pumpkin season has begun at Disney! I can’t think of a more perfect pair of ears to wear for Halloween and Fall at Disney than these Pumpkin Spice Minnie Ears from A Fairy Tale Wish!

These delightful beauties are fully covered in sequins, and totally make me want a warm and cozy Pumpkin Spice Latte! The deep green bow is a perfect accent, and really sets these ears apart from other Halloween themed ones. If you aren’t into the rustic orange and forest green, there is also a spookier version! New Stars Added to Candlelight Processional Celebrity Narrator Line-up

Those hoping to attend one of this year’s Candlelight Processional concerts at Epcot this holiday season will be pleased to know that more noteworthy additions have been added to the celebrity narrator line-up.

Those recently added include Matt Bomer from “White Collar” and “The Last Tycoon” as well as Warwick Davis who played Wicket the Ewok in Star Wars Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi. They join newcomers Pat Sajak from “The Wheel of Fortune” as well as TV star CCH Pounder who visited Animal Kingdom earlier this year for the grand opening of Pandora- The World of Avatar. Also returning again this year are Chandra Wilson who plays Dr. Bailey in “Grey’s Anatomy” as well as Whoopi Goldberg co-host of ABC’s “The View.” Other returning favorites include television, film and stage superstar Neil Patrick Harris, country megastar Trace Adkins and Contemporary Christian music artist Jaci Velasquez.

For those visiting Walt Disney World for the first time this holiday season, you won’t want to miss Epcot’s wonderful re-telling of the story of the first Christmas complete with a 50-piece orchestra, a mass choir and a celebrity narrator which bring this magical tale to life. The processional is performed three times per night (5:00, 6:45 and 8:15pm) during the holiday season at the America Gardens Theatre in the World Showcase. The performances are free to anyone with a valid Epcot theme park ticket.

Moana to Attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!

The wait is over! Per sources online, Moana will be at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!

Moana was previously hosting meet and greets at Hollywood Studios in One Man’s Dream. She was then replaced by Star-Lord and Baby Groot this past Spring. Guests were very disappointed that she was replaced and not moved to another location.

Rumors have been swirling that she would find a new home at Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom. For now it looks like that is the case during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party only. Hopefully we will receive confirmation from Disney that she will be finding a permanent home in Adventureland and not just for the Halloween parties!

Moana can be found during party hours only in front of the Jungle Cruise. Expect at least a two hour wait to see her. Cast Members also informed us they will most likely be shutting down the line for her between 9 and 10 pm to make sure everyone has their chance to see her prior to the party ending!

Military Discounts Available for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

We shared with you yesterday that Military Discounts apply to select dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and now we are happy to let our Military personnel know that discounts are also available for Magic Kingdom’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

Active and Retired U.S. Military, including members of the U.S. Coast Guard and participating members of the National Guard or Reserve, may purchase discounted Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Tickets for special military priced event nights. They may also purchase additional tickets for up to five (5) family members and/or friends.

Military Discount Prices are:

Adult: $64.25 plus tax
Child: $60.75 plus tax

Military Discounted Prices are offered only on the following nights:

November 9, 12, 14, & 16

Time: 7:00pm until Midnight
Note: While the published start time is 7:00pm, you can get in as early as 4:00pm with your MVMCP ticket.

Where Can You Purchase These Specially Priced Tickets?

Direct From Walt Disney World: These special tickets must be purchased in person (with proper military ID) from Walt Disney World ticket or Guest Relations locations! They can not be pre-purchased over the phone or internet.
From Shades of Green:You may also purchase these special tickets in person at Shades of Green’s Ticket Office. New this year, Shades of Green will ship these tickets for a fee. You can call them at : (407) 824-1403 and they will email you the forms that you need to fill out. There is a fee ($10) to FedEx the tickets to you.

Please note that tickets cannot be purchased at Base Ticket Offices, DisneyWorld.com or over the phone.

What if the event sells out in advance?

These events often sell out. However, Military personnel can still purchase party tickets for sold out events, both military discounted nights and regular priced party nights. For sold out nights, Military discounted tickets for “Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party” will be available ONLY at the Magic Kingdom Front Gate Guest Relations windows (to the right of the park entrance) on the day of the event.
