New PIN-GO Pin Game Offered at Disney Parks

New PIN-GO Pin Game Offered at Disney Parks

Pin collectors can collect a limited edition pin by participating in a new pin game offering at Disney Parks. PIN-GO pin game is now being played at both the Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort.

New PIN-GO Pin Game Offered at Disney Parks

Guests play the game by purchasing pins that correspond with the characters in each square on the card. When you purchase one of the pins on your card, a Cast Member will stamp the matching square on the card. The back of the PIN-GO card tells us that once a guest achieves a line on their PIN-GO card (horizontal, vertical or diagonal, or four corners including the center space) they will be eligible to get their prize pin that is created especially for Disney’s PIN-GO. However, a Chip and Company contributor played PIN-GO recently at the Walt Disney World Resort and was told that you just had to have five stamps anywhere on the card. You may want to verify this before making your pin purchases.

New PIN-GO Pin Game Offered at Disney Parks

Participating Walt Disney World locations include:

  • Disney Springs Marketplace – World of Disney Store, Disney’s Days of Christmas, Star Wars Trading Post, Marketplace Co-Op, Disney’s Pin Traders
  • Disney Springs Town Center – Sundries
  • Disney Springs West Side – Star Wars Galactic Outpost

Participating Disneyland Resort locations include:

  • Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa – Acorns Gifts & Goods

  • Disneyland Hotel – Disney’s Fantasia Shop

Redeem your surprise pin at Disney’s Pin Traders. Pin availability by location may vary.

Prior pin purchases are not eligible for the Disney PIN-GO activity. Hurry, this game will only be played until December 3, 2017 or while supplies last, whichever come first.

Recap of the First Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the Year

Halloween Party

Friday, August 25th marked the first night of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the year, and it was a spooktacular start to the Halloween season! With spellbinding entertainment, deliciously ghoulish treats, and rare character sightings, guests in the Magic Kingdom park at the Walt Disney World Resort celebrated until midnight.

The Halloween party entertainment did not disappoint, the Sanderson Sisters put a spell on guests with the first show of the evening. Joined by numerous Disney villains, the sisters preformed Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular on the castle stage three times throughout the night. Between all the hocus pocus, Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade made its way down Main Street, featuring your favorite ghosts and ghouls from the Haunted Mansion. The not-so-scary parade begins at 9:15 p.m. and again at 11:15 p.m. giving guests two chances to catch their favorite Disney characters getting into the Halloween spirit. Happy HalloWishes Fireworks show really was the main event. The stunning fireworks display was complemented with music from Ursula, Oogie Boogie, and many more creepy classics.

The delicious Halloween themed goodies were a treat for the eyes and the taste buds! From Candy Corn Ice Cream to Pumpkin Spiced Mickey Waffles, and everything in between, there was no shortage of spooky snacks. Speaking of spooky snacks, in true Disney fashion, Disney made sure that every guest was able to fully enjoy their time at the Halloween party by including an Allergy-Friendly Experience for guests with various food allergies.

Halloween Party Halloween Party

I would venture to say the appearance of Moana during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, was the highlight of the character meet and greets! Moana has not been meeting at the Walt Disney World parks since May of this year, and many Disney fans have been patiently awaiting the day Disney announces her new Meet & Greet location. Unfortunately, Moana is still not meeting in the parks outside of the Halloween party. If you have a ticket to one of the many Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties and are wishing to see Moana, I highly recommend getting there early to line up, as her line reached 2 hours long prior to 7 p.m.

Along with all the entertainment and tasty treats, there is some great Halloween merchandise in the parks. I especially love the Alex and Ani bracelet, featuring a charm that celebrates the Halloween Party. Did you attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party last Friday? Latest Aerial Photos Of Hollywood Studios Construction Progress

Latest Aerial Photos Of Hollywood Studios Construction Progress

Hi there Chip and Company friends! It’s time for our weekly check-in with @bioreconstruct to get a bird’s eye view to see how construction progress is going at Hollywood Studios. It looks like more theming has been added to Toy Story Land and roofs are being installed over at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Let’s take a look….

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Parking is also being expanded in order to handle the anticipated large crowds visiting the new lands.

It appears that we will be getting a total of 4 turntables to handle higher capacity. At this point the idea is that these are NOT going to be spinning centrifuges like those used at Mission: Space. These are being rumored to actually be a slowly rotating turntable for continuous loading/unloading. Simulator pods would move around the circle.

Toy Story Land

It’s really starting to come together!

It looks like more “toy blocks” have gone up and part of Andy’s backyard fence has appeared. I love the checkered flags as you finish the ride.

The roof is being put up over the Alien Spinning Saucers. Gotta keep those little green guys dry!

Spooktacular Haunted Mansion Name Badge Stroller Tags

Haunted Mansion Name Badge Stroller Tags

Last month we discovered the fantastic Disney Cast Member Badge Inspired Stroller Tags by the Sadie And Bean Boutique on Etsy, and fell in love! Now it looks like they’ve gotten in the Hallow-spirit with spelltacular Haunted Mansion Name Badge Stroller Tags!

Just like with the original tags, you won’t have to struggle to find your stroller anymore! They are waterproof and, measure about 5 inches tall by 7 inches wide. These tags are also made of thick and sturdy glitter vinyl, with a reinforced backside that has an additional layer of glitter vinyl so you will not see the messy backside of the embroidery. The glitter vinyl is a deep emerald green, with a white lace trim just like the ghost hostess costumes of the Haunted Mansion! Devious little black bats edge the inside of the white trim, with the famous wallpaper silhouette at the top, and “The Haunted Mansion” written at the bottom.

If you’re planning a Halloween Disney trips, or just a big Haunted Mansion fan like me, be sure to check these new tags out!

Could New Casting Call Mean A Change Is Coming For “Journey Into Imagination”?

Journey Into Imagination

Walt Disney World is searching for new actors. While this in and of itself is nothing new, the description of the role is causing some speculation about the Journey Into Imagination attraction. Disney is looking for male and female comedic actors for a “new offering” to play scientific interns.

Here is the description from the Disney Audition Website:

  • Male and Female Actors to portray wide-eyed and naïve “scientific interns”. Set in a laboratory environment, the warm and friendly “intern” enthusiastically supports various interactive audience experiences.
  • Performers should have experience in interactive improvisational performance and must project a warm and inviting persona.

But where will Disney be using these “scientific interns”? This casting call when added to the recent Figment Survey Questions leads our thoughts in the direction of a change coming for Journey into Imagination in EPCOT. Currently, guests are taken on a tour of the Imagination Institute and are test subjects for the new invention, the Imagination Scanner.

This aging attraction has been losing popularity since its first major renovation in 1998 when Figment was temporarily removed (until 2002). There have been many rumors swirling that a new “Inside Out” themed experience was replacing Journey into Imagination but so far nothing official has been announced.

In November of last year Bob Chapek, the Chairman of Disney Parks and Resorts,  announced at the Destination D fan event that EPCOT would be receiving “a major transformation” that would help transition the park into being “more Disney, timeless, relevant, family-friendly” while keeping the original vision alive.

Even though Journey into Imagination is decidedly not a popular attraction, Figment the small purple dragon has a large following. Figment is even featured on many of this year’s EPCOT International Food and Wine merchandise.

Nothing official has been announced by Disney yet. But, stay tuned to Chip and Company as we bring you the latest information as it is released!
