Advance tickets went on sale this morning at 6:00 a.m. PT for Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated “Thor: Ragnarok,” which opens in U.S. theaters on November 3. Tickets are available wherever tickets are sold.

In Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok,” Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk!

“Thor: Ragnarok” is directed by Taika Waititi and returns Chris Hemsworth starring as Thor and Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki. They are joined by Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson and Karl Urban, with Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins.

Kevin Feige is producing with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Thomas M. Hammel and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. The story is by Craig Kyle & Christopher Yost and Eric Pearson, and the screenplay is by Eric Pearson.

Guests will be able to experience the holiday traditions at all 11 World Showcase nations. The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will include live musical productions, seasonal food & beverage specialties at the expanded Holiday Kitchens, and costumed performers bringing time-honored traditions to life throughout World Showcase. The best part is that all of this holiday fun is included in your park admission.

Chip & Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree

Chip and Dale are collecting ornaments for their Christmas tree—and they need your help! To get started, simply purchase a map ($6.99 plus tax) and sticker from select merchandise locations, including Pin Central, Disney Traders and World Traveler at International Gateway.

As you travel around World Showcase, be on the lookout for Chip and Dale as they gather ornaments from holiday decorations in each World Showcase pavilion. Once you spot them, add the corresponding ornament sticker to your map. Then, take your completed map to Disney Traders and exchange it for a festive surprise, courtesy of Chip and Dale!

Trevorrow Out as Director for ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’

Disney and LucasFilm announced that Colin Trevorrow is out as the director of the upcoming Star Wars: Episode IX. Reports indicate that the the departure is mutual due to differences over the script. Trevorrow and LucasFilm have “mutually chosen to part ways” and their “visions for the project differ.”

This is the second change for a Star Wars-related movie within the past few months. Back in June, it was announced that Phil Lord and Christoper Miller were being replaced by Ron Howard on the unnamed Han Solo movie.

Trevorrow previously worked on Jurassic World. He was tapped for Star Wars: Episode IX just over two years ago.

A new producers has not yet been named. Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled to hit theaters in May 2019 with production scheduled to begin sometime next year.

Can you believe that “Dancing with the Stars” is gearing up to celebrate its 25^th season? The new celebrity cast is sparkling up their wardrobe, breaking in their dancing shoes and readying themselves for their first dance on the ballroom floor, as the season kicks off on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 on ABC. This season’s lineup of celebrity dancers includes a “Shark,” a married couple whose pro partners are also a married couple, a “Pretty Little Liar,” a “Property Brother,” an 80s pop icon, a WWE superstar and a NBA champion, among others.

Additionally, ABC is launching the first-ever official Dancing with the Stars Fantasy League on September 6 on abc.com/dfl. The game allows players to predict which couple will win the season and take home the coveted Mirrorball Trophy. Players earn points for correct predictions, and each point is an entry into the grand-prize drawing for a chance to win a trip for four to Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii and other exclusive prizes. Beginning September 19, fans can also play the weekly game to earn more points and chances to win. Each week, players choose three couples they predict will earn the highest scores in that week’s episode(s). Each point the couples earn on the show is another entry towards the Grand Prize and First Prize sweepstakes.

Production Underway On Live-action adaptation of ‘Aladdin’

At Longcross Studios, outside of London, production is underway on the new live-action adaptation of “Aladdin.” The main cast even took time out of their busy day to take a selfie to share with the rest of the world, Will Smith as Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Jasmine, and Marwan Kenzari as Jafar.

The “Aladdin” cast includes: Two-time Oscar® nominee Will Smith (“Ali,” “Men in Black”) as the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes to whoever possesses his magic lamp; Mena Massoud (Amazon’s “Jack Ryan”) as Aladdin, the hapless but lovable street rat who is smitten with the Sultan’s daughter; Naomi Scott (“Power Rangers”) as Princess Jasmine, the Sultan’s beautiful daughter who wants to have a say in how she lives her life; Marwan Kenzari (“Murder on the Orient Express”) as Jafar, an evil sorcerer who devises a nefarious plot to unseat the Sultan and rule Agrabah himself; Navid Negahban (“Homeland”) as the Sultan, the ruler of Agrabah who is eager to find a proper husband for his daughter, Jasmine; Nasim Pedrad (“Saturday Night Live”) as Dalia, Princess Jasmine’s hand maiden and confidante; Billy Magnussen (“Into the Woods”) as Prince Anders, a suitor from Skanland and potential husband for Princess Jasmine; and Numan Acar (“Homeland”) as Hakim, Jafar’s right-hand man and head of the palace guards.

Hurricane Policies for Orlando's Major Theme Parks

As Hurricane Irma draws nearer to Florida, it has left families unsure of their travel plans. As of right now the major theme parks are still operating as normal. But as the impending weather gets closer, it’s important to be up-to-date on the hurricane policies for the popular vacation destinations surrounding Orlando.

We brought you the news yesterday that Disney Cruise Line has announced that three of their itineraries scheduled to depart in the next couple of days were cancelled. Disney World has also announced the temporary closure of its water park, Blizzard Beach.

For those with Orlando travel plans, take a look at their theme park hurricane policies:

WALT DISNEY WORLD POLICY:

“If a hurricane warning is issued by the National Hurricane Center for the Orlando area—or for your place of residence—within 7 days of your scheduled arrival date, you may call in advance to reschedule or cancel your Walt Disney Travel Company Magic Your Way vacation package and most room only reservations (booked directly with Disney) without any cancellation or change fees imposed by Disney.”

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS POLICY:

“If a hurricane warning is issued by the National Hurricane Center for the Orlando area or for your place of residence no more than 7 days before your scheduled arrival date, you can call in advance to cancel or reschedule your Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations hotel accommodations and Universal Orlando theme park tickets without any cancellation or change fees imposed. Additional elements including air, car rental or other theme park tickets are separate and not part of this policy.”

SEA WORLD POLICY:

“Our parks have comprehensive weather preparedness plans to ensure the safety of our guests, employees and animals. We have an extensive list of precautionary measures based on the proximity and level of the storm, including such safety procedures as securing outdoor equipment and inspecting foliage throughout the park.”

LEGOLAND POLICY:

“If the National Hurricane Center (www.nhc.noaa.gov) issues a hurricane warning for the Central Florida area – or for your place of residence – within seven days of your scheduled arrival date, you may reschedule or cancel your LEGOLAND Florida Resort visit without any penalties or fees imposed by LEGOLAND and/or Merlin Entertainments.

This policy applies only to LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park tickets, LEGOLAND Water Park tickets and LEGOLAND Hotel or LEGOLAND Beach Retreat reservations booked directly with LEGOLAND Florida Resort or LEGOLAND Vacations, as well as partner hotel reservations and packages booked through LEGOLAND Vacations.”

Hurricane Irma Forces Closure of Blizzard Beach

Blizzard Beach Closure

With Hurricane Irma bearing down on the peninsula of Florida, Disney has announced the closure of Blizzard Beach for September 8 and 9. This is the second closure announced by Disney World in preparation of the storm. The first closure announced is for the Aerophile Balloon at Disney Springs.

Interestingly enough, an official closure has not yet been announced for Typhoon Lagoon.

It’s important to note that the storm is not expected to start impacting the Orlando area until sometime on Sunday, September 10. I would expect for Blizzard Beach (and Typhoon Lagoon) to be closed past September 8 and 9 until sometime next week.

I love to display my favorite seasonal memories around the Halloween season time. This adorable “Boot to you” Mickey Pumpkin Picture Frame is a perfect way to show off my favorite pictures, with a touch of Disney Halloween.

This sturdy frame is a hand cut, and wood burned piece painted with delightful Halloween colors. The Mickey Pumpkin has adorable polka-dots on it, for a cute and whimsical feel. The clip at the top is an easy way to hang a photo, that you can also change out as often as you like. I love that I don’t have to mess with glass, I’ve broken quite a few pieces of glass from frames in my day.
