English Tea Garden Tour

The 2018 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival begins next week and I couldn’t be more excited. This annual event is bursting with brilliant gardens, fresh flavors, interactive playgrounds and rocking entertainment. But did you know that there is more to enjoy at the festival then walking around the World Showcase? Tea lovers will be happy to hear that the English Tea Garden Presented by Twinings of London is once again returning to the United Kingdom pavilion!

You’ll gain a new appreciation for this time-honored beverage during a complimentary tour of an elegant English tea garden. During this guided foray, you’ll learn more about the artistry behind the growing and blending of herbs, which is vital for the creation of uniquely flavored brews.

Don’t forget to bring your camera! More than a dozen tea-flavoring plants are tucked inside oversized saucers strewn throughout the garden, making for delightful photo opportunities.

Important Details

The English Tea Garden tour lasts approximately 20 minutes.
Same-day registration is available in The Tea Caddy gift shop.
Advance registration is recommended, as each tour is limited to only 20 Guests.
Tours are held Monday through Thursday at 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM, and Friday through Sunday at 1:00 PM, 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM.

Mulan Szechuan McNugget Dipping Sauce

If you were a fan of McNuggets back in the 90s, you may have known about the obscure dipping sauce that was released as part of a promotion for Mulan. Long had this mythical sauce laid forgotten until a Sci-Fi cartoon with a ravenous following Rick and Morty decided to remind us. I’m happy to say, we are getting another shot at tasting that sauce!

The cult craze for the little known sauce came when it was refrenced on Rick and Morty. Rick went on a tangent that boiled down to doing it for the sauce, the Mulan Szechuan sauce that is. Last year McDonald’s brought it back for a limited release, but severely underestimated the power of Rick and Morty Fans. The sauce was gone before anyone could blink, and most Disney fans only knew about it if they were also Rick and Morty fans. According to Thrillist however, the chance to try this mythical sauce inspired by a much beloved Disney film is returning!

Thrillist has all the important details about the Mulan sauce, that debuted way back in 1998. When the sauce came back last year, only select stores had very few packs to go around, it looks like they’ve decided to change that this time though. On Monday, February 26, you’ll be able to find the mythical Szechuan sauce while supplies last! Unlike last fall when each select store only got about 20 packets, Twenty million dipping sauces will be distributed to every McDonald’s in the United States, Wubba lubba dub dub!

Even if you aren’t a Rick and Morty fan, this is still fun with those of us who love Mulan! How exciting is it to be able to try a limited edition item from a beloved Disney Classic from 2 decades ago? Let’s just hope it’s not left over from then!

The latest episode of “Watch A Disney Movie With” is a special one. The Oh My Disney’s popular series features Disney icons re-watching their Disney films and revealing secrets left on the cutting-room floor.

This week’s episode features Corbin Bleu, who played Zac Efron’s best friend in “High School Musical”.

Corbin sits down on the 12th anniversary of High School Musical to dish on working with Zac Efron, Kenny Ortega and more.

Did you know all of Chad’s iconic graphic tees were designed by him? He worked with the costume designer to create custom shirts with sayings like “I Come With My Own Background Music” and “Easily Distracted,” which kick-started the explosive early 2000’s fashion trend.

I can’t believe it’s been 12 years since “High School Musical” first aired. It was so fun taking a trip down memory lane and watching with Corbin!

We are just three short days away from the Pirates of the Caribbean Attraction at Walt Disney World beginning its 3-week refurbishment. Disney announced last year that both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland parks would see a big change to the Redheaded Wench scene in 2018. Pirates of the Caribbean will be closed starting February 26, 2018, and will re-open March 19, 2018.

Currently, drunken pirates holler out bids for the redhead who is next in line to be auctioned off while ignoring an overweight but chipper woman currently offered for bidding. In the new version, instead of being auctioned off herself the redhead has now joined the side of the pirates and is helping the auctioneer sell off loot from the townspeople at the Mercado auction.

This has been a highly controversial change to one of the original Disney attractions. The Disneyland version was actually the last attraction whose construction was overseen by Walt Disney himself. Many people were so upset that a petition was created to keep the Redhead scene as-is. To date, this petition has received close to 40,000 signatures.

Disneyland Reveals New Brickwork on Main Street U.S.A

As we reported earlier this year, Main Street U.S.A in Disneyland is currently undergoing refurbishment while the horse-drawn streetcar track is replaced in its entirety for the first time in Disneyland history. As part of the replacement, the park is also adding new brickwork along the length of this iconic street.

Today Disney revealed the first look at these exciting enhancements with sections now being completed around Town Square and Central Plaza. Here’s a closer look:

The pieces of original track remaining prior to the refurbishment are being salvaged and preserved and the previously updated pieces of track are being recycled.

Is ‘Be Our Guest’ Closing For Refurbishment?

Be Our Guest Refurbishment

As you might have heard, Be Our Guest will be moving to 2 Table Service Credits for their Dinner Service starting on July 27, 2018. On the same day they will also be changing to a prix fixe, 3-course menu for Dinner. Today we have learned from Disney Cast Members that Be Our Guest will now be closed for refurbishment from August 20-August 25, 2018. It is not known at this time what the refurbishment is for.

Although this has been communicated to Cast Members it has not been officially posted on Disney’s Refurbishment Lists or on the Be Our Guest page. Although we feel confident that this will happen, it is still to be treated as gossip until Disney officially confirms it.

Popular Character Meet & Greet at Hollywood Studios to End This Summer

If you are fans of Star-Lord and Baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy, you might want to plan a visit to Hollywood Studios before this summer ends. WDWMagic.com is reporting that the current meet and greet featuring the two popular characters will be coming to an end at the end of this summer.

The Star-Lord and Baby Groot meet and greet began last Spring in “Walt Disney Presents” at Hollywood Studios. They replaced the extremely popular Moana meet and greet prior to the release of the Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

As of now, there is no word on who might be replacing Star-Lord and Baby Groot. Disneyland has added a meet and greet with Black Panther, so he’s a guess who might be coming. However, Star-Lord and Baby Groot are expected to be at Hollywood Studios until the end of the Summer. I would expect a Black Panther meet and greet would be announced earlier if he is coming to Disney World.

I also don’t think Moana would be coming back to Hollywood Studios. If/when she returns, my guess is she will be calling Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom home. She has been appearing there recently for special events such as Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and there are even rumors of a new space being built just for her.

As always, nothing is official until confirmed by Disney. We will be sure to share any character updates as soon as we hear them.

The Cast From 'A Wrinkle In Time' Surprised Guests At Disneyland

Guest at Disneyland Resort got quite the surprise! The cast from ‘A Wrinkle In Time’, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, and Storm Reid, made an appearance in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

The ladies posed for photos in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle with matching sparkly Minnie Ears. Mindy posted the cutest boomerang of her and Reese in their Ears, which is basically all of our friendship goals.

Before that, Storm, Oprah, Mindy, and Reese surprised guests on stage at Disney California Adventure Park’s Sneak Peek Theatre following an exclusive preview of the film. Everyone in the audience received a special “Tessering Ticket” that allowed them to get Disney FASTPASS access to several rides at the Disneyland Resort.
