It is officially the end of an era as Disney started the process last week of demolishing DisneyQuest, the former indoor amusement park located next to Cirque du Soleil at Disney Springs.  DisneyQuest officially closed its doors on July 2, 2017 to make way for the new NBA Experience venue which is slated to open at Disney’s downtown shopping district in the Summer of 2019.

From Oct. 22 – 31, Epcot’s Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavilion has a fun selection of villain-themed desserts.  The Ursula dessert is a bubble gum mousse and vanilla cake covered in a Black Mirror Glaze, featuring Ariel’s contract and Ursula’s shell necklace – both made with fondant. Next, the Cruella De Vil dessert consists of chocolate and meringue cake with cream cheese filling. Finally, don’t forget to paint the roses red with the Queen of Hearts chocolate cupcake topped strawberry cream cheese icing, and decorated with the crown of the queen herself!

It is I, Anonymouse, here to share what Disney internet is all abuzz with today and it involves FastPasses.

As you know, one of the main perks of staying at an official Walt Disney World Resort is the option to make your FastPasses 60-days in advance vs. the 30-days when staying off-property.

Well, that perk might soon be going by the wayside. Several rumors online are stating that select Good Neighbor Hotels will be available to make their FastPasses 60-days in advance as well. At this time, we do not know exactly which hotels would be included but I would assume the seven hotels in the “Disney Springs Resort Area” would be on the list.

As always, nothing is official until Disney confirms it so be sure to keep following along with us for the latest!

As many of you already know, Disney closed down the Universe of Energy Pavilion back on August 13th to make way for a new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction.The changes have been largely embraced by Disney fans as the attraction Ellen’s Energy Adventure housed within the pavilion had been seen by many as dated an in need of an upgrade.

Those wondering how things are shaping up since the pavilion’s closure will see from the pictures below that the area has been walled off, but the building (at least for the moment seems relatively untouched):

Though there’s no opening date yet for the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction, it was announced recently that the ride would be an indoor coaster with permits being filed to support this.  As part of the project, it is believed that the front facade of Universe of Energy will remain largely intact and will simply be incorporated into the design.

American Adventure 50 States Character Merchandise

American Adventure in Epcot has a new merchandise line. This new 50 States Character Merchandise Collection features classic style art, celebrating everything American. Currently the line is selling the 13 most visited states at American Adventure Heritage Manor gift shop.

All 50 states will be available in November online at shopDisney. The 13 most visited states are available in store and online, and the other 37 will be online only. A fun little tidbit, Michigan is the 13th option because the person who is designing the line is from Michigan. The 13 States currently available at Epcot and online are PA, MI, MA, NC, NY, FL, CA, VA, OH, IL, GA, TX, NJ.

From maps, to t-shirts, mason jars and coasters, you’ll find all kinds of character Americana! You can take a photo tour of the American Adventure Heritage Manor Gift Shop below to see some of the fun items being offered.

AMC Disney Springs 24 to host Star Wars Marathon Event

Are you the ultimate Star Wars fan? Then AMC’s Star Wars Marathon 2017 is the perfect way to gear up for the first showing of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, this December. Beginning on Wednesday, December 13th 2017 at AMC Disney Springs 24, theater guests have the chance to see all eight Star Wars episodes back-to-back, ending with the premiere showing of Star Wars: The Last Jedi on December 14th.

You can purchase your Star Wars Marathon tickets by clicking HERE! Act quickly, as I am sure they will sell out fast! The marathon event excludes use of Green, Red, AMC Silver Experience amd AMC Gold Experience tickets.

The event begins at 10:00 p.m. on December 13th. While guests are welcome to wear costumes, AMC does not allow mask or weapon accessories in the theater. Tickets are required for the event.

Preparations are well underway for “Sunset Seasons Greetings”, Hollywood Studios’ brand new holiday celebration this year. Disney is hard at work getting everything ready for this event taking place from November 9 through December 31, 2017. We walked through the park this weekend to check on the progress…

Upgraded billboards are being prepped throughout the park. As night falls on Disney’s Hollywood Studios during event dates, billboards will suddenly begin to move into motion and tell a tale, courtesy of iconic characters sharing their love for the season.

Thanks to state of the art projections, the Hollywood Tower Hotel will transform into a pile of Christmas gifts, a gingerbread house, a frozen winter wonderland, and will even see a visit from Olaf throughout the night.

Holiday stars are already lining Sunset Boulevard. The start of “Sunset Seasons Greetings” is only a little over 2 weeks away!

As we reported earlier, Echo Lake has been drained for some schedule refurbishment. Disney has announced that this also includes the installation of a giant Christmas tree centered on the water.

You can see the power cords being run to the island in the middle of the lake.

Echo Lake will also get a merry makeover with extra-large ornaments and colorful garlands.
