Opening April 30th, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will be home to Reunion Station, a new DVC membership only community hall. It will include a bustling activity schedule for DVC members filled with workshops such as “Disney Vacation Club Beverage Tasting Series”, “Animation 101” and “Phone Photography” available to all members. In addition, the space will include a private lounge that members staying in DVC accommodations at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (Boulder Ridge Villas and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins) can visit to enhance your stay!
Workshops at Reunion Station will begin May 7th, with the “Disney Vacation Club Beverage Tasting Series” that focuses on different beverages and foods that compliment them. “Phone Photography” is another offering and will take place on May 8th where members gain expertise in the art of vacation photography using their phones. In addition, “Animation 101” on May 10th, will teach members a bit about the history of Disney animation with a hands-on workshop to create flip books. This event will be lead by Todd Bright, a Disney animator whose work includes Lilo and Stitch, Mulan and Brother Bear. Workshops will take place from 1:30pm to 3:00pm and are $40 per person total (maximum of 4 people).
Access to the lounge area of Reunion Station can be added on to a DVC vacation for $50 per night per adult and $33 per night per child age 3-9 and must be added for the length of stay for all members of the party. The lounge will include continental style offerings fro 7:00am – 10:00am daily, including cereals, fruits, juice, etc. It will also include appetizers such as soup and salads as well as alcoholic beverages from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Between the hours of 7:00pm and 10:00pm daily, all DVC members are invited to Reunion Station for a meet and greet with other members.
Beginning April 4th, DVC members can contact Member Services to book these new Reunion Station extras.

Well, this is quite the story! We just recently found out that a couple is suing Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Supposedly, a rat bit a man. Yes, you read that right. A rat landed on the wife’s wheelchair, and when the husband went to knock it off, it bit him.
Galen Haldeman, then 59, and his wife, Carol, who was in the wheelchair, were leaving Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin attraction in Tomorrowland when a large rat ran into the merchandise store near the ride, according to a lawsuit filed in Orange County Circuit Court.
Somebody yelled, “Rat!” and kicked the animal, the lawsuit said. The animal jumped onto the wheel of Haldeman’s wheelchair.
“Just as the rat was about to bite into Carol’s arm, Galen grabbed the rat and yanked it off the chair,” the lawsuit said. “As he did so, the rat bit into one of Galen’s fingers. Galen had to twist the rat’s neck, and the rat fell to the floor where someone threw an empty plastic container over it.”
A Disney Cast Member hurried over, urging visitors not to photograph the animal, and took the rat away, according to the lawsuit.
“Disney violated its duty to keep its park clean and safe by allowing conditions to get to the point where rats were inhabiting the park and were even bold enough to come out openly, among people,” read the lawsuit filed March 19.
The couple is suing for more than $15,000 after Galen Haldeman attributed ensuing medical expenses, physical handicap, disfigurement, mental anguish and other problems to the incident.

With only a month to go before Avengers: INFINITY WAR hits cinemas Disney has released a series of incredible character group posters showcasing this epic and the unbelievable cast of characters!

The Royal Palm Railway Experience has partnered with Rail Events Inc. and Warner Brothers Consumer Products to bring a new railway experience to the Orlando area. Beginning June 8th you will be able to journey over the rainbow aboard a “The Wizard of Oz” train ride in Tavares Florida. Licensed by the team that brought The Polar Express train ride to life, this two and a half-hour journey is sure to delight in its rendition of “The Wizard of Oz.”
You will begin your adventure in Munchkinland with Dorothy as she is guided by Glinda the Good Witch in her search to find the Wizard of Oz. Dorothy is hopeful he will guide her back to home to Kansas. Following Glinda’s recommendation, Dorothy boards the train, with her special friends, as they follow the Yellow Brick Road onwards to the Emerald City.
Along your journey, you will enjoy refreshments and live entertainment as Dorothy meets the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion. Set to the music of the motion picture, this experience is sure to build lasting family memories for all ages. Keep an eye open for the Wicked Witch of the West as you will have to assist the team in their efforts to defeat her before arriving at the Emerald City! The Great and Powerful Oz is sure to be awaiting your arrival during this live stage show. Once your mission is complete, each guest will be given a very special gift for assisting Dorothy along this unforgettable journey.

It wasn’t the happiest place on Earth for YouTube Star, Jason Ethier, this past Sunday. The YouTube personality who is known for filming himself inside of abandoned homes and buildings was arrested right outside the Magic Kingdom on suspicion of trespassing and resisting an officer without violence per the Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrest affidavit.
Apparently, the whole altercation was even caught on film and posted on Ethier’s YouTube page which has around 1.8 million followers. During the clip, you can hear whoever is filming it stating that Ethier’s belongings were stolen. The arrest affidavit states that Ethier was verbally aggressive with Disney Security after his personal belongings were accidentally picked up by another Guest.
The affidavit also states that he was asked to leave the Magic Kingdom because he was filming Disney’s security check area which is a violation of Walt Disney World policy.
The arresting deputy stated, “I went to secure Mr. Ethier and as I grabbed his left arm he yanked and tried to break my grasp. Mr. Ethier was then taken to the ground using an arm bar take down.”
Today, Ethier took to Twitter today with the following:

Rumors have been circulating for some time now about changes coming to Epcot’s popular nighttime show, Illuminations. When it was announced that Siemens would be removing their sponsorship from Disney Parks, rumors started to circulate that show might be gone for good.
Today, WDWThemeParks.com is reporting that Illuminations will be getting some changes with the possibility of completely revamped show which would be called, “Illuminations: Windows on the World.” Reports say that drones would have a large presence in an updated show or completely new show. In addition to the drones being a large part of the nighttime show, the drones themselves may be used to operate what Disney calls “Fixels.” Fixels are used used to display large puppets and projection scenes. If you remember, there was a nighttime drone show previously offered at Disney Springs during the 2016 holiday season.
WDWThemeParks.com also says some of this drone technology could be used for a new show on the Seven Seas Lagoon. Hopefully this wouldn’t mean an end to the long-running Electrical Water Pagaent but maybe just an enhancement.

Disney cast actor-comedian, Jack Whitehall in the highly anticipated film Jungle Cruise. Dwayne Johnson was cast earlier in the year with Emily Blunt to follow soon after. Whitehall plays Blunt’s brother in the film, another lead role in the movie. The British comedian and actor round out the comedic cast!
The Jungle Cruise is a famous theme park attraction found at several Disney parks. Disney hopes to bring the ride to life in a live-action comedic thriller. Disney plans to franchise the Jungle Cruise movie and build an empire like the billion-dollar Pirates of the Caribbean series.

“Star Wars: Galactic Nights” at Hollywood Studios promises to be an evening of “Star Wars-themed” action, entertainment, and adventure. It is also gearing up to be one of the best food events that Walt Disney World offers. Let’s take a closer look at some of the offerings:
The food and drinks featured at “Star Wars: Galactic Nights” is inspired by beloved “Star Wars” characters, worlds, and stories. Disney’s culinary team has dreamed up a great variety of gourmet bites just for the event as well as a few new options including Dueling Gazpacho. The Dueling Gazpacho is inspired by the lightsaber duel between Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and Sith Lord Darth Maul and features dueling flavors of red pepper and cucumber-melon.
Also new is the Three-Cheese Pasta with a Meatball. This pasta dish features a creamy three-cheese sauce and spicy lamb and beef meatball and is inspired by the brave and persevering Resistance Movement. Looking for a little sweet and spicy? Then, look no further than the Sweet and Spicy Fried Drumstick. Guests who try this dish will sink their teeth into a honey-chili glazed drumstick with a pepper jelly biscuit. This dish gives credit to Chewbacca’s friendship with the porgs of Ahch-To.
A few dishes will only be found at the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge. The first one to check out is the Lemon Diver Scallop with Pork Belly. This dish combines the land and sea and pays homage to Luke’s time on the that marine planet. Another option at the Brown Derby is the Tofu and Rice Noodles which was inspired by Coruscant. This adventurous dish features a vibrant medley of pan-seared tofu, leeks, red onions, and noodles.
If you can’t resist the adorable Ewoks, then you won’t be able to resists this new offering – Soba Noodle Salad. The Soba Noodle Salad compliments the Ewoks and their home on the Forest Moon of Endor. The Soba Noodle Salad consists of chili-soy Soba noodles, cucumbers, and carrots. To make it even more irresistible, it is topped with a hard-boiled, chili-glazed deviled egg. Also vegetarian, is the Plantmeat on Rootcrush which is inspired by Unkar Plutt’s concession stand on Jakku. Featured on this galactic dish is vegetarian meatloaf, mashed potatoes, root vegetables, and mushroom gravy. One bite of this and you will be energized to trade with the scavengers.
Next up is a trap of delicious flavors! Guests looking for a little seafood action can sink their teeth into sweet corn cheese grits topped with a steamed crawfish and smothered in a decadent Louisiana boil broth. And, it’s not a party without some loaded cheese fries. The “Star Wars: Galactic Nights” take on loaded cheese fries, Loaded Red Curry Duck Fries, is inspired by the Battle of Crait and features seasoned fries that are topped with duck confit, red curry ketchup, and white blended cheese sauce. If anything will spark the hope of a rebellion, the Loaded Red Curry Dick Fries will!
Inspired by Erso’s homestead which is known for its lowlands and black sand beaches, this Fish and Chips with smoked Paprika Remoulade comes alongside root vegetable chips and will have Guests thinking of Lah’mu. Looking to get even more adventurous? Head on over to BaseLine Tap House for the Ancho-Chili Octopus. The Ancho-Chili Octopus features octopus (of course!), jicama, pear, and cucumber slaw. This under-the-seas dish is based on Sarlacc, the creature found in the Dune Sea region of Tatooine.
Looking for some sweet treats? Have no fear! “Star Wars: Galactic Nights” will have all the favorites including Sweet and Crunchy Popcorn, “Star Wars-themed” Orange Truffle Cupcake, Mini-éclair Trio, and Glow Cotton Candy. But the highlight of all the all the sweet items is the Lightsaber Churros!
