Frozen’s Idina Menzel and Demi Lovato Face Lawsuit Over Song ‘Let It Go’

Frozen 2 Release Date Announced

It’s definitely one of the catchiest tunes ever but “Let It Go” from Disney’s smash hit Frozen is coming under fire in a new lawsuit filed by a Chilean musician Jamie Ciero who argues that the song bears more than a striking resemblance to his 2008 song “Volar.”

Ciero is suggesting in his lawsuit that similarities can be found in the melodies, lyrics, themes and structures of the two songs and with this in mind is seeking restitution in the form of a share of Frozen’s profits which to date is in excess of $1 billion.

Fan’s of Disney•Pixar’s blockbuster film Coco can relive the magic in a special, never-before-heard duet of one of the films most popular songs “Un Poco Loco.” The clip features Coco star Anthony Gonzalez accompanied on guitar by Club Mickey Mouse’s Sean Oliu. The performance took place at Disneyland and celebrates the “little bit of crazy” in us all.

The performance also features a full mariachi band and is beautifully intercut with breathtaking scenes from the film.

Released today by Oh My Disney, the video is the first live rendition of the song and is sure to evoke the emotion and wonder of the film.

Mickey Maple Cherry Santa Hat Dome Cake is Perfect Holiday Treat at All Star Resorts

A recent visit to the All-Star Resorts Food Courts led to the discovery of a fun new sweet treat that I just had to try. After visiting the All Star Sports and All Star Music, I arrived at the All-Star Movies to see the same lovely snack and it was calling my name! The Mickey Maple Cherry Santa Hat Dome Cake makes the perfect Holiday Treat for any sweet tooth.

Here is my review of this amazing dome cake.

The Mickey Maple Cherry Santa Hat Dome Cake is almost too pretty to eat. I mean really, how adorable is this Mickey Santa Hat? But alas, I cut into the middle of the hat to show you what it looks like on the inside. The flavor combination may sound a bit sweet but it does work. The tartness of the Cherry cuts the sweetness of the Maple Mousse enough to make this a perfect combination of sweet and tart. There is also a nice cookie crumble crust as the base.

A New Land Is Coming To The Shanghai Disney Resort In 2018

A 7th themed land is coming to the Shanghai Disney Resort and it will give one of the most popular Disney franchises a much bigger presence!

Disney Toy Story Land, announced today, will be the first post-opening expansion at the Shanghai Disney Resort and is going to feature attractions and entertainment celebrating fun and imagination for guests of all ages.

Based on the Disney·Pixar motion picture series, Disney Toy Story Land will be a high-spirited, colorful world where guests will feel as if they’ve been shrunk down to the size of their favorite Toy Story toys for laughter and fun with family and friends in the backyard of Andy, the boy from the movies. Woody, Buzz and their Toy Story friends come to life and play in this fully immersive land, which features three new attractions and a uniquely themed character greeting area.

Slinky Dog Spin: Slinky Dog has been amusing the toys all day long by chasing his own tail round-and-round a giant dog dish filled with toy bones – and soon Shanghai Disneyland guests will be invited to become the “honorary toys” in Disney Toy Story Land, where they will be able to take a seat inside Slinky Dog’s springy spirals and race around a wavy roundabout.

A New Land Is Coming To The Shanghai Disney Resort In 2018

Rex’s Racer: Rex, Andy’s insecure Tyrannosaurus Rex toy enjoys playing with RC Racer almost as much as he likes playing video games. With help from his Triceratops friend Trixie, Rex will invite guests to climb into RC for a thrilling ride on the U-shaped track. With Rex at the controls, RC Racer, with guests aboard, zips forward and backward at ever increasing heights and exhilarating speed.

Woody’s Round-Up: Sheriff Woody has rounded up a herd of ponies, each one pulling a cart, in a ranch set up by Andy. Guests can climb aboard the carts as the ponies start a little square dance swinging their carts to and fro in time to the lively music.

Meeting Post: Next to Woody’s Round-Up is Old West, a town made up of a hitching post and façades for various enterprises, such as the sheriff’s office, the saloon and the bank. Here, guests can meet and pose for photos with some of their favorite Toy Story characters, including Woody, Jessie and Bullseye.

Guests can extend their Disney Toy Story Land experience with the fun, immersive shopping and dining opportunities in Al’s Toy Barn, the merchandise shop where some of Andy’s toys have been purchased, just like in the movie, and Toy Box Café, a restaurant themed to Andy’s packing boxes for Buzz Lightyear, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head and Lotso Hugging Bear.

Shanghai Disney Resort has the only Toy Story-themed hotel in the world, while Shanghai Disneyland is home to the popular Buzz Lightyear Planet Rescue attraction, a guest favorite which features the most advanced Buzz Lightyear targeting system at any Disney park in the world.

This new land is set to open at the Shanghai Disney Resort by the summer of 2018!

If I had to choose, I would be #TeamLoki for sure, but luckily we won’t have to choose during a Marvel Day at Sea! Loki sets sail alongside his brother Thor as his first Disney vacation character experience! Guests aboard the Disney Magic can come face to face with the mythical gods Thor and Loki, during Marvel Day at Sea.

The god of Mischief Loki is as charming as he is dangerous, but he’ll be on his best behavior, and calling it a truce with his half brother while on board the Disney Magic.

Thor and Loki also appear in the action packed stunt show “Marvel Heroes Unite”. This stunt spectacular showcases Marvel Super Heroes and Villains, facing off in a sensational battle at sea.

During Marvel Day at Sea and on all Disney ships, year-round, you can see the biggest Disney and Marvel films onboard, the same day they are released on land. Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok” is now showing now across the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

If you’re looking to catch a glimpse of the trickster and god of thunder, you’ll have to find a cruise that offers the Marvel Day at Sea. After a year of searching, Mulan has been found!

Chinese actress Liu Yifei, also known as Crystal Liu will be bringing the title character to life when the live action version of Mulan hits the big screen.

Disney's Live Action "Mulan" Has Cast The Title Role

Liu is one of almost 1,000 hopefuls from five continents that Disney saw while trying to cast this iconic role. Requirements such as credible martial arts skills, the ability to speak English and that special Disney star quality lengthened the search, but they found the total package in Liu. She is currently one of China’s most popular actresses. Liu spent part of her childhood in Queen, N.Y. and is fluent in English. She appeared in both 2008’s The Forbidden Kingdom, alongside Jackie Chan and Jet Li, and 2014’s Outcast, opposite Nicolas Cage and Hayden Christensen.

Mulan being directed by Niki Caro, and produced by Jason Reed, Chris Bender, and Jake Weiner. The live-action film will be inspired by both the legendary Ballad of Mulan and the Disney animated classic Mulan. At this point we are hearing the studio is aiming for a 2019 release date.
