As we all know, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, landed in theaters across North America this weekend. As we reported earlier, The Last Jedi brought in record-breaking numbers for its Thursday night premiere with $45 million. Estimates showed The Last Jedi bringing in an estimated $95 to $98 million for Thursday night and Friday combined. And, now online reports anticipate the film to bring in over $200 million for the weekend – making it the fourth movie in history to pull in over $200 millions its opening weekend in North America.(The Force Awakens brought in a whopping $248.8 million its opening weekend in 2015.)
The Last Jedi is performing just at Disney and LucasFilm anticipated as estimates originally released last month projected the film to bring in $200 million for its opening weekend.

Tonight at the Star Wars Galactic Nights Event in Hollywood Studios Disney shared with us some new details and concept art for Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.
More details have been released on the all-new Millenium Falcon ride coming to the Disney Theme Parks. For all of those scruffy looking nerf herders you will have the chance to fly the Falcon! I know I can’t wait to make the Kessel Run!
Next up we got a peek at some of the new lands/areas in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. They will have a marketplace for all of your favorite Star Wars goodies, inside you’ll be able to discover all kinds of fun and cool toys straight out of the movies. We even here there is going to be a trading card gaming too!
Also, who wouldn’t love their photo with a real live X-Wing? Well, they plan on having those too! The attention to detail in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is going to be off the charts, I mean come on this is Disney!!!
Not much was released on the food but we did hear they will have blue & green milk 🙂
Finally, we got a look at the construction progress at the parks. It is coming along nicely.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is set to open in 2019… First up in Disneyland then in Disney’s Hollywood Studios soon after.
Star Wars: Galactic Nights is celebrating opening weekend of Star Wars: The Last Jedi with a commemorative ornament.
Anyone attending the event who can show a printed or electronic proof of purchase or ticket stub from the opening weekend of the film, December 14-17, will receive a free commemorative holiday ornament.
You can pick up your ornament at the Disney Junior Live on Stage Theater.
Limit of one per Guest and only while supplies last.
The AT-AT popcorn bucket has now shown up at Hollywood Studios!
They are $25 each and there is a limit of 5!

Many Dooney and Bourke bags from Disney have come before, but few have wowed me like the new ones inspired by Star Wars. The beautiful Star Wars Dooney & Bourke bags showcase out of this galaxy icons, with a dash of retro feels.
There’s a very classic feel to these bags, the neutral colors paired with the black striping and trim lend to a sophisticated style. One of the most intriguing aspects to these bags is that unlike many other Disney Dooneys, this collection uses the classic Dooney Duck logo. The duck logo isn’t used often these days, so it’s always very interesting to see it show up in different collections. The textured leather design for the collection features a golden galaxy of characters from Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

The DuckTales Woo-OO DVD
The DVD features the first episode and six bonus shorts that introduce us to the new remake of DuckTales. I have a certain bit of nostalgia with this, and I love that I get to share my favorite characters in a new modern way with my child. Scrooge McDuck is voiced by the wonderful David Tennant, and I honestly couldn’t think of a better actor for the gig. Huey Dewey and Louie are a brilliantly sly trio who are up to just as much mischief and mayhem as the original. The show also offers a bit of mystery which left me yearning for more story. It may seem like a flat jolly ride on the surface, but there are layers of story telling being laid that I’m sure will make this an intriguing series as it goes on.

Here at Chip and Co. one of our favorite ways to celebrate the Christmas Season at Walt Disney World is by exploring the holiday traditions of the 11 countries that are a part of Epcot’s World Showcase. Each Christmas each of these amazing pavilions pulls out all the stops as part of the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays.
One of our favorite stops each year is the Mexican Pavilion which offers a Feliz Navidad celebration that is nothing short of spectacular. The daily events featured during this seasonal offering include a festive mariachi band and dancers that welcome guests to join the celebration of the holidays Mexican-style.
Visitors to the pavilion can learn about Mexican culture and Christmas traditions through dance and music including the popular song “Feliz Navidad”. The Mariachi Cobre coupled with the Folklórico dancers, bring these magical stories, and traditions to life with their music, dancing and beautiful costumes. Children are even invited to play a role as performers tell the story of Mary and Joseph set to the music of the “Posadas”.
The Feliz Navidad celebration happens six times per day at Epcot and is included with your park admission. If you’ll be at Disney in the lead-in to Christmas be sure to stop by and check it out.
