A Behind the Scenes Look At How the Iconic Disney ‘First Name’ Name Tags Are Made

Disney Name Tags

It’s funny how something so small can mean so much. It is a rite of passage for each and every cast member when they receive their very first Disney “first name” name tag. Walt Disney himself thought that is was important to call cast members by their first name as it created a more personal and friendly atmosphere.

Today we are bringing you a video that goes behind the scenes in the Engraving Shop at Walt Disney World to see how these name tags are created. It is here that over 100,000 new name tags are made for cast members at theme parks, Disney Springs, Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney Imagineering and beyond.

Extra Icing Cup Served With Cinnamon Rolls At Gaston’s Tavern In The Magic Kingdom

Extra Icing Gaston's Tavern

Calories don’t count when on vacation at Walt Disney World, right? Well, that’s a relief because Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland is serving up a special treat that we are just loving. The very popular Warm Cinnamon Roll covered in gooey icing now comes with an extra cup of the sugary topping just in case you needed more.

Previously cast members were happy to give you the additional complimentary icing upon request. But, when we visited on Friday cups were being handed out without having to ask for them. The Warm Cinnamon Rolls are available for $4.99.

Rumors have been circulating for some time now what is going on behind those walls. Some say a new venue for Moana to make her meet and greets. Others think its the site of the new Club 33 coming to Disney World. We are fairly certain it will be Club 33. Or, maybe, both! Quite possibly, the area could be divided up to for both to be built. We know everyone is anxiously awaiting the return of a Moana meet and greet at Walt Disney World! (Other than special events.)
