Shakira Surprises World Tour Crowd with New Song from Zootopia 2

Disney and pop music fans are getting an unbelievable treat on Shakira’s current tour! The multi-GRAMMY Award-winning global superstar has kicked off her highly anticipated “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” World Tour, and the setlist features an electrifying track that is giving Zootopia 2 fans a massive reason to celebrate.

Shakira is officially performing her breakout anthem, “Zoo,” live on stage—the hit single from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ box-office juggernaut, Zootopia 2!

Shakira

Shakira famously returned to the recording booth to voice Zootopia’s favorite pop icon, Gazelle, for the smash-hit sequel. Now, she’s bringing that animated magic into the real world.

Her live performance of “Zoo” is a full-on theatrical nod to the film, complete with roaring tiger background dancers and playful Gazelle horns. The star-studded track was co-written by Shakira, Ed Sheeran, and Blake Slatkin, and produced by Slatkin, Alex (A.C.) Castillo, Shakira, and Ed Sheeran.

IMG

The live debut of “Zoo” comes right on the heels of the film’s historic success. Zootopia 2 has officially shattered records to become the highest-grossing animated MPA release of all time globally, as well as the highest MPA release of 2025.

If you can’t make it out to the stadium tour to hear the new anthem live, don’t worry! The critically acclaimed, BAFTA Award-winning film is now streaming on Disney+. You can find it right now in the dedicated “Zootopia” Collection alongside the original Academy Award®-winning Zootopia and the hilarious six-episode anthology series Zootopia+.

Shakira’s twelfth studio album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, has been an absolute phenomenon, earning rave reviews and a GRAMMY® win for Best Latin Album. Within its first 24 hours of release, it became the most-streamed album of 2024 and has since been certified 7x Platinum. With over 95 million records sold worldwide and 27 billion views on YouTube, Shakira continues to prove why she is the most-streamed female Latin artist of all time on Spotify.

Winnie the Pooh Changes Meet-and-Greet Routine at Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom

If you’re planning a character breakfast, lunch, or dinner at The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom, you may notice one familiar face greeting guests a little differently. Winnie the Pooh is no longer making his usual rounds through the dining rooms during the character meal, though guests can still meet everyone’s favorite honey-loving bear.

Instead of visiting each table alongside his Hundred Acre Wood friends, Pooh is currently greeting guests from a designated spot near the front of the restaurant. Diners can line up during their meal to snap a photo and spend a few moments with Pooh, who is meeting guests in the atrium beside the topiary inspired by his own likeness.

The rest of the character lineup continues to visit tables throughout the restaurant as usual, making Pooh the only member of the group with a modified meet-and-greet experience. Disney has not announced why the change was made, and it’s currently unknown whether this is a temporary adjustment or if Pooh will eventually return to visiting guests at their tables.

The Crystal Palace remains one of Magic Kingdom’s most popular character dining experiences, offering guests the chance to dine with Winnie the Pooh and friends in a beautiful Victorian-inspired setting just off Main Street, U.S.A. If meeting Pooh is a priority during your meal, be sure to make your way to his greeting location before finishing your dining experience.

Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire is currently scheduled to pause performances from July 7 through July 14, according to the official Walt Disney World entertainment calendar.

The Cinderella Castle stage show has no listed performances during that eight-day stretch. Before the break, the show is scheduled to perform six times on July 6. Performances are expected to resume on July 15 with five scheduled showtimes.

Disney has not announced a reason for the temporary hiatus. While some fans have speculated that the pause could be related to work on the Cinderella Castle stage, no refurbishment or maintenance has been confirmed by Walt Disney World.

If you’re planning a visit to Magic Kingdom during that timeframe, be sure to adjust your plans accordingly. Entertainment schedules can change, so it’s always a good idea to check the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit for the latest showtimes and updates.

Disney Looks Back at 70 Years of Patriotic Flyovers from Disneyland Opening Day to America 250

Disney is taking fans on a patriotic trip through history with a new video celebrating more than 70 years of military flyovers above its parks. Released as part of the ongoing America 250 celebration, the retrospective highlights the longstanding partnership between Disney Parks and the United States military, stretching all the way back to Disneyland’s opening day in 1955.

The video opens with the breathtaking U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds soaring over EPCOT in 2023 before rewinding to July 17, 1955, when Disneyland welcomed guests for the very first time. During the live opening day television broadcast, aircraft from California’s 146th Fighter Interceptor Wing flew over the park, kicking off a tradition that has continued through decades of milestone celebrations, military appreciation events, anniversaries, and patriotic holidays.

Over the years, Disney has welcomed countless military flyovers during special events, including Walt Disney World’s 20th anniversary rededication, National Veterans and Military Families Month celebrations, Navy Fleet Week, The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary, and commemorations recognizing more than a century of aerial refueling. The new video also features service members meeting Mickey and Minnie Mouse in their patriotic attire as part of the America 250 festivities at EPCOT.

The tradition continued this Independence Day as the U.S. Air Force Reserve’s 920th Rescue Wing from Patrick Space Force Base performed a flyover of Magic Kingdom and EPCOT on July 4. The aerial salute was part of Walt Disney World’s Fourth of July festivities, joining favorites like Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT’s Heartbeat of Freedom fireworks finale, patriotic Spaceship Earth lighting, Voices of Liberty performances, and more.

From Disneyland’s opening day to today’s America 250 celebration, Disney’s flyover tradition has become a unique way to honor the nation’s service members while creating unforgettable moments above some of the world’s most iconic theme parks. It’s a reminder that sometimes the most magical views aren’t just on the ground, but soaring high overhead.

The August 11, 2026 party date is completely full. This marks the third date of the 2026 season to reach maximum capacity, following closely behind Halloween Night (October 31)—which shattered records by selling out in just two hours on day one—and August 14, which sold out late last month.

August 11 and August 14 were the only two nights on the entire 38-night calendar priced at the baseline $119 rate. With both dates completely gone before the very first party even kicks off on August 7, the lowest entry price into the event now jumps up to $129 for remaining mid-to-late August dates.

This year’s ticket sales are tightly mirroring the pattern from previous seasons. Historically, once the headline October 31 night vanishes, budget-conscious travelers swarm the lowest-priced dates in August.

If things continue on this trajectory, Opening Night (August 7) will likely be the next date to get crossed off the list. Priced at $159, opening night usually sells out just days before the event begins, but with general sales opening up ten days earlier this season, it could happen even sooner.

Don’t panic if you haven’t bought your tickets yet; there is still plenty of availability throughout August, September, and October. Prices for the remaining dates scale up as you get closer to October, ranging from $129 all the way up to $224 per person.

Eligible Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders can still take advantage of a $10 discount per ticket on select nights from August 7 through October 2.

Disney Extends Indiana Jones Ride Permit at Animal Kingdom by One Year

Disney Extends Indiana Jones Permit by One Year

Adventure has a deadline, but it looks like Indiana Jones is taking just a little bit longer to pack his bags for Walt Disney World!

Walt Disney Imagineering has officially filed a one-year extension on a major construction permit for the highly anticipated Indiana Jones attraction coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Related – Mayan Temple for Future Indiana Jones Ride Begins to Take Shape at Tropical Americas in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney Extends Indiana Jones Ride Permit at Animal Kingdom by One Year

The original Notice of Commencement was filed back in August 2025 to pave the way for the transformation of DinoLand U.S.A. Like most standard construction permits in Florida, it carried a default one-year expiration date.

The newly filed extension pushes that timeline out by a full year, meaning the permit is now active until July 2027. The paperwork lists Mecca Productions, Inc. as the contracted partner tasked with installing the attraction’s massive new set elements.

While a permit extension can sometimes trigger panic among fans worried about project delays, there is no need to worry just yet! This move is standard practice for theme park projects of this scale. Disney has previously announced that the new Tropical Americas land—including the Indiana Jones ride—is slated to debut sometime in 2027, and this extension lines up with that projection.

Disney Extends Indiana Jones Ride Permit at Animal Kingdom by One Year

For those tracking the construction, the incoming Indiana Jones ride is taking over the building that housed the classic attraction DINOSAUR.

Because DINOSAUR originally utilized the exact same track layout and vehicle ride system as Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Imagineers have a fantastic structural foundation to build upon. However, don’t expect a simple clone of the West Coast version. Walt Disney World’s iteration will feature a completely unique storyline.

Guests will join Indy as he braves the deep interior of a newly discovered Maya temple, investigating rumors of a mysterious, mythical creature hiding within its ancient walls.

Over in the rest of the Tropical Americas land, work continues to progress rapidly. While Indy’s temple utilizes an existing structure, the neighboring Encanto-themed attraction is currently being built completely from scratch, with its own steel construction permits already moving forward.

With a 2027 opening window still on the horizon, pushing the set installation permits into mid-2027 ensures the construction crews have all the legal runway they need to make this temple look as breathtaking and detailed as possible.

John Stamos & Yvette Nicole Brown ‘Try Not to React’ Challenge on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets

John Stamos & Yvette Nicole Brown vs. The Muppets Coaster! (Try Not to React)

Disney Parks just dropped a hilarious new video featuring the absolute queen of keeping it real, Yvette Nicole Brown, taking on the “Try Not to React” challenge on the newly reimagined Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets.

Joined by her husband, actor Anthony Davis, Yvette buckled up into the iconic super-stretch L.I.M.O. to see if she could survive the high-speed coaster’s zero-to-60 launch without cracking a smile, screaming, or flinching.

Spoiler alert: It is not easy to keep a straight face when you’re flipping upside down with the Muppets blasting in your ears!

Making the ride even more fun, fellow Hollywood stars (and Muppet superfans) John Stamos and Darren Criss tagged along in the row behind them. Because Stamos and Criss had already braved the challenge in a previous video, they got to sit back, relax, and laugh at Yvette and Anthony trying to keep their cool.

If Yvette Nicole Brown’s face looks familiar while you’re waiting in line for the revamped coaster, there’s a good reason for that! She, Stamos, and Criss all star as “superfan” cameos in the attraction’s brand-new pre-show video.

Yvette recently shared with People that she received the top-secret call to join the ride back in January. She had to keep the massive news completely under wraps for months before the ride officially debuted its Muppet makeover.

Of course, this isn’t Yvette’s first time hanging out with Kermit and the gang. Disney fans will fondly remember her hilarious role as the Hearse Driver in the 2021 Disney+ special, Muppets Haunted Mansion.
