Disney Wants To Make A Live-Action ‘Tarzan’ Starring Ryan Reynolds. According to a reliable source with WeGotThisCovered.com, Disney is looking to create a live-action remake of the popular 1999 animated Tarzan and they are hoping to swing Ryan Reynolds as their leading man.
For now, the film is merely in the concept stage and has not been assigned a director, writer, or theatrical release date. If the film does not make it to the big screen we could still see a live-action Tarzan come to Disney+, the all new Disney streaming service launching November 12th.
One of the biggest concerns among fans who are already toying with this news is what Disney will do about the iconic soundtrack by Phil Collins. Will the soundtrack be included in the live-action film or will they merely use it to inspire a new soundtrack by a different artist?
There are many fans who think it would be a waste of one of the most iconic soundtrack from a Disney film if it was not incorporated into a live-action remake, and feel Tarzan would not be as popular if Phil Collins had not recorded the album with the insane amount of passion that is apparent in the music. We would also be kidding ourselves if we didn’t all want to see Terk, Tantar, and the gang busting out some jungle beats in the Porter’s Camp!
Neither Disney nor representatives for Ryan Reynolds have confirmed a formal discussion for the role, but Disney seems to be eyeing Reynolds and several other big name actors to play Tarzan. No other casting choices have been announced, but it would be interesting to see who would play Jane Porter, Professor Porter, and the villainous Clayton, and who would voice Terk, Tantar, Kala, and Kerchak.
Disney has been met with both praise and criticism from fans for its decision to keep producing “live-action remakes” of the Disney Classics. But with films such as Aladdin (2019) and The Lion King (2019) both reaching over $1 billion in the global box office, it is unlikely Disney will stop the trend any time in the near future. Especially since all of their live-action remakes since Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland have collectively brought in $7 billion to the film studio.
What are your thoughts on a live-action Tarzan? Do you think Ryan Reynolds would be a good choice to play the leading role? What other casting choices would you make if you were in charge? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

During the Disneyland 30th Anniversary, Canada native Tamia Richardson won a park ticket. Now, it’s been 34 years since she won the park ticket and Tamia was ready to return to the park and celebrate!
Richardson won the ticket as part of an anniversary promotion that the Disneyland Resort was having in 1985. At the time, she was only 14 years of age. Now, with two teenage daughters of her own, she decided to finally use the ticket.
As she returned to Disneyland, Tamia was a bit nervous to hand over her 34 year old ticket in exchange for entry. Luckily, after verification, she was able to enjoy a Disney day with her two girls. Tamia was very eager to experience everything new that the park has to offer, including Galaxy’s Edge.
Disneyland has since done similar promotions for its anniversary. The resort always celebrates with exclusive merchandise, eats, and experiences. For Tamia, all she had to do was be the 30th guest to enter the park gates. A ticket went out to every 30th guest that entered. Richardson had gone back to the park after her prize winning trip. However, she never thought to use the ticket until sh recently discovered it among some old photos.
Do you think Disney should do more promotions like these? Let us know in the comments below!

The Disneyland Resort has had it’s fair share of construction in the past year. From the creation of Galaxy’s Edge, to the refurbishment of Sleeping Beauty Castle, there seemed to be new changes all around the park. Now, it seems like the entrance to Tomorrowland will be altered in the near future.
When guests pass the park hub, before entering Tomorrowland, there are man-made rocks. These rocks guide guests to either Star Tours or Buzz Lightyear Astro-Blasters. Starting August 15th, construction walls went up around the rocks. This has sparked many to speculate if the so-called “French fry rocks” will be removed.
This project is most likely part of the widening of specific walkways. These particular walkways tend to be more subject to crowding or bottle-necking. Similar projects were that of the Adventureland entrance and the walkway in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Just like the castle construction, this project will include paving down the curb. This will make the entrance to the land more accessible for all guests.
As of now, there is no set timeline for the construction of the rock removal.
Do you think this will make it easier to get around at Disneyland park? Let us know in the comments below!

With a ”pop!” of color and a ”pop!” of flavor, the new Rainbow Push Pop at Animal Kingdom is a treat that Disney vacationers won’t want to miss. Recently spotted at the Walt Disney World Resort, this new dessert is part of a subtle new trend in Disney treats: push pop cakes!
A push pop cake is reminiscent of the push pop sherbet treats all 90s kids adored, except there’s no ice cream in sight, just cake! These haven’t dominated the dessert world in the same way that monster shakes and cupcakes have, but there has been a steady increase in their popularity in recent years. Not only was there a Mickey Push Pop at Cosmic Ray’s in the Magic Kingdom earlier this year, but Jack Skellington’s Cake Push Pop is making a return at this year’s Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
Potentially the most Instagram-worthy treat to hit Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks in a long time, the Rainbow Push Pop is made up of layers of colorful cake, creating a rainbow effect through the clear casing. All of the cakes are a strawberry flavor, but not to worry for those who prefer cakey rather than fruity desserts, it is not an overpowering taste. The overall effect is much more like a cake pop where frosting and sweetness are dominant. In fact, anyone who has had a push pop at Walt Disney World before will tell you that all of them are divinely moist. No fear of dry cake here!
The Rainbow Push Pop is $4.99 before tax and is suitable for one guest (or two if you don’t have a sweet tooth). It’s a great deal considering the rising prices of many popular snacks across the parks. Check it out at Animal Kingdom before it becomes extinct!
We are checking out a media preview tonight for the Epcot Food & Wine Festival. We got a first-hand look (and taste) at some of the new items coming in 2019!
