Galaxy’s Edge is opening in one week and this is the perfect way to kick-off the countdown. The flavor was really sweet and so yummy. The frosting on top was made to look like Chewbacca’s huggable fur and two pieces of chocolate made to look like his bandolier strap. At $5.49 plus tax or a snack credit this is a decent size dessert.

There’s a layer of frosting in the middle which breaks up this delicious treat! Now all it needs is some blue milk! Find this Chewbacca cupcake at the Art of Animation Resort and see the real Chewie at Hollywood Studios. Galaxy’s Edge opens next week on August 29th.

Sony Stocks Drop After News of Disney-Sony Spider-Man Split

Sony Stocks Drop After News of Disney-Sony Spider-Man Split

Sony Stocks Drop After News of Disney-Sony Spider-Man Split. The drop was observable almost immediately after reports started rolling in about negotiations going south between Disney and Sony in regards to the fiscal earnings of the shared franchise.

Disney and Sony were in the midst of re-negotiating a contract regarding the usage of Spider-Man in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). The previous agreement allowed Disney full rights to merchandise, and profits from said products, as well as 5% of the profits made from ticket sales from the first night of the films theatrical release.

Disney was pushing for a 50/50 profits split of Spider-Man led films when Sony outright dismissed their proposal and offered to keep the current agreement, but would not budge or make a counter offer. The moment this exchange was reported the situation began to spiral for Sony.

Sony Stocks Drop After News of Disney-Sony Spider-Man Split

After investors began to express concern over the decision and the pressure of the trending retaliation from fans online, Sony released a formal statement regarding the reported split. The statement reads:

“Much of today’s news about Spider-Man has mischaracterized recent discussions about Kevin Feige’s involvement in the franchise. We are disappointed, but respect Disney’s decision not to have him continue as a lead producer of our next live action Spider-Man film.  We hope this might change in the future, but understand that the many new responsibilities that Disney has given him – including all their newly added Marvel properties – do not allow time for him to work on IP they do not own. Kevin is terrific and we are grateful for his help and guidance and appreciate the path he has helped put us on, which we will continue.”

Though Feige’s involvement in the franchise has seemingly ended, lead man Tom Holland and Director, Jon Watts, are reportedly still contracted for at least 2 more Spider-Man films with Sony. Producer Amy Pascal is said to take over Feige’s role in the Spider-Man films for Sony.

Sony Stocks Drop After News of Disney-Sony Spider-Man Split

There are plenty of reports stating that Disney and Sony are still in negotiations and that Sony has been more willing to talk after stocks began to plummet and investors began to panic after the initial reports came out about the split. We remain hopeful that an agreement can be made between Disney and Sony and that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man can stay in the MCU. For now it appears that if Sony and Disney do decide to officially part ways, Sony will see retaliation from investors and shareholders if current trends are any indication.

What do you think of the Disney-Sony split? Do you think it’s the end-all-be-all, or do you think they will be able to find a solution that both parties will be happy with? Would you boycott Sony and Sony Pictures if they pull Spider-Man from the MCU? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Jeremy Renner Tells Sony To Return Spider-Man to the MCU

Jeremy Renner Tells Sony To Return Spider-Man to the MCU

Jeremy Renner Tells Sony To Return Spider-Man to the MCU. Hawkeye is not happy about the reported split between Disney and Sony over the use of Spider-Man and is now calling out Sony to return the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man to Marvel Studios and the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) with a high amount of support from fans around the world.

Jeremy Renner Tells Sony To Return Spider-Man to the MCU

Jeremy Renner shared the post via his Instagram account, @renner4real stating, “Hey, [Sony] we want Spider-Man back to @therealstanlee and [Marvel Studios] please, Thank you.”

Renner will continue in his role as Hawkeye in an exclusive Disney+ Series called, Hawkeye.

Fans are flocking behind the sharp shooter and begging Sony to reconsider their decision, with some fans even saying they want to storm Sony’s HQ  and force the film studio to return Spider-Man to the MCU. The response online has been far from friendly with many NSFW comments and posts being targeted at Sony and Sony Pictures. A milder response from fans has been a “We Hate You 3000” smear campaign against Sony that mimics the “We Love You 3000” campaign being hosted by Marvel Studios to celebrate Marvel Fans after the major success of Avengers: Endgame.

Sony is the only party to release a formal statement regarding the reported split. The statement reads:,

One Couple’s Dream Disney Themed Wedding

Disney Wedding

Disney Wedding

Jason and Garrett exchanged vows in front of their friends and family dressed as Buzz and Woody from Disney’s “Toy Story” Movie. It was their Dream Wedding they said. Not only did they dress like Disney Characters but all of their guests joined in on the fun and dressed in character as well. They get an A+ for crowd participation, even their guest’s children and their dog dressed for the occasion!

disney wedding

The planning process took Jason and Garrett a year to complete. They worked hard creating all of their decor, centerpieces, and flowers for the wedding themselves! They sprinkled their pixie dust on each table theming them after a different Disney movie, everything from classics like “The Little Mermaid” and “Cinderella” to newer films such as “Coco” and “Moana” was represented. VHS boxes were the table names and numbers. Even the Seating cards were admission tickets to the “Movie” theme where they were seated. The adorable “Drink me” goblets were a great touch! The Signature drink was a Mai Tai for their love of Tiki bars. They certainly had quite a spark of inspiration! Lucky for them Jason is a graphic designer which he was inspired to become from his love of Disney art, and the Imagineers. The Couple is now “obsessed” with going to Disney together they say.

Disney Wedding

This couple loves to have great parties, and certainly from the looks of it threw a very fun wedding. Their favorite holiday being Halloween, they usually have a  costume party each year. It’s no wonder they were able to pull off a great in-character wedding with their friends and family. They also met at another holiday party one New Year’s Eve, and they were not the only ones. Garrett’s parents coincidentally also met on New Year’s Eve! Call it Destiny or call it Fate!

Disney Wedding Disney Wedding

There was no detail that wasn’t thematic,  their cake even had the silhouettes of Buzz and Woody, which they stated align with their personalities. Even their first dance was to “You Got a Friend in Me“, which resonates with their relationship. Of course, they had it choreographed and had the song recomposed in a jazzy spanish style, making sure they could dance a mix of the salsa, tango, pasa doble and, a little foxtrot to boot!

Out of the pages of a fairytale, their day was “practically perfect in every way!” Here’s to Jason and Garrett’s Happily Ever After! You can see more photos on PopSugar. Love to read stories like this checkout ChipandCo!
