Annual Passholders Line Up for New Crush Magnet at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Duuuude, he’s here! Everyone’s favorite sea turtle from Finding Nemo, Crush, has made his way to Walt Disney World. Passholders are lining up at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to snag a new complimentary magnet featuring the fan-favorite character.

The new magnet, which was announced a few days ago, is now available for pick-up at two locations within the park: Discovery Trading Company and Riverside Depot. Cast Members had a queue taped out on Thursday morning to manage the crowds, and they’re inside scanning Annual Passes and handing out the magnets at a designated table.

The magnet itself features Crush on the right side of a light blue Walt Disney World “D” with bubbles floating around him. Opposite him, the words “Walt Disney World annual passholder” are printed. This new design follows the previous magnet release, which featured the iconic villain, Maleficent.

Passholders wanting to grab a magnet should be aware of a few important details. You must be present to receive a magnet, and you’ll need to show a valid Annual Pass card, a linked MagicBand, MagicBand+, or Disney MagicMobile pass, along with a government-issued photo ID. The magnets are limited to one per Passholder and are only available while supplies last.

This totally tubular Passholder magnet will be available from August 7 through September 27, 2025.

Wendy’s Partners with Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ for ‘Meal of Misfortune’ Promotion

Horror fans, get ready! Wendy’s has teamed up with Netflix’s hit show, “Wednesday,” for a special, limited-time collaboration. The Meal of Misfortune will be available at Wendy’s locations nationwide starting Monday, August 4.

Wendy’s describes its limited-time Meal of Misfortune as “pure punishment in a bag.” The meal, which was supposedly designed by Wednesday Addams herself, features a spooky lineup of items.

The meal includes “Rest in 10-Piece” Nuggets, small “Cursed & Crispy” Fries, and a small “Raven’s Blood” Frosty, all served in custom packaging. Each meal also comes with two random “Dips of Dread” mystery sauces. Don’t ask which sauces you’ll get—you must surrender to your destiny! The four fiery sauces are named “You Can’t Hyde,” “This Will Sting,” “Grave Mistake,” and “Nowhere to Woe.” To try them all, you’ll need to make multiple visits.

Indulge in the Raven’s Blood Frosty, served with a “Spoon of Gloom” and featuring a dark cherry swirl in a custom Wednesday-inspired cup.

According to Lindsay Radkoski, the U.S. Chief Marketing Officer of The Wendy’s Company, this collaboration is a perfect match. “Wendy’s and Wednesday are both cultural icons famous for challenging convention with wit and a bit of sass,” she said. Radkoski adds that it’s “a match made in dark, dry-witted heaven” for two brands that are “proudly customer-obsessed and unapologetically bold.”

Permit Filed for DINOSAUR at Animal Kingdom

Hold onto your butts: Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a brand-new permit tied to the DINOSAUR attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and it’s got fans wondering: is this a final refresh before extinction, or the first step toward Indiana Jones taking the wheel?

The permit, filed this week, lists Central Florida’s Mecca Productions, Inc. as the contractor with a scope of “Install Set Elements.” Mecca is well-known in the themed entertainment space for fabricating props and scenic pieces, often working with Disney on immersive installations. The address on the permit points directly to the DINOSAUR show building, suggesting this work is happening inside or very close to the current attraction.

For now, DINOSAUR is still open and operating daily, allowing guests to take one last trip back in time with Dr. Grant Seeker and the iconic “Not our dino!” moment. But we already know the clock is ticking. Disney has confirmed the attraction will close sometime after 2025 to make room for a new Indy-themed ride through a Maya temple.

The full Tropical Americas overhaul will replace the current DinoLand U.S.A. and is expected to debut in 2027. Along with Indiana Jones, the new land will feature an Encanto-themed ride, a large-scale quick-service restaurant, a kids’ play area, and vibrant jungle theming throughout.

This permit might just be part of routine maintenance to keep DINOSAUR running smoothly during its final stretch. But it’s also possible we’re witnessing the first steps in a carefully phased transition to Animal Kingdom’s next great adventure. Either way, Imagineering is already laying the groundwork behind the scenes—even if the dinos haven’t quite gone extinct just yet.

So whether you’re Team Nostalgia or Team Indy, now’s the time to get one last ride in. The Iguanodon won’t be waiting forever.
